• Nicole (9/5): Comfortable stay in a unique setting - We stayed during the week and the hotel was very quiet. The open layout of the hotel with the garden in the middle and the rooms around is very nice. The room itself including the bathroom was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. There was even a minibar in the room which we didn't find in other hotels within this price range in the region. The hotel is located a short walk from the main square and plenty of restaurants. The staff serving breakfast paid more attention to their mobile phones than to the customers. They didn't inform us about the option to order freshly-made eggs. We only found out on the second day when the table next to us asked for them.

• Oliver (10/5): Fantastic stay in Leon - Room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with everything we could have wanted/ needed. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and really tasty. Staff very helpful (we booked transfers and our volcano boarding through them which was fantastic!). The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the communal areas are lovely to sit in and listen to the birds. I wouldn’t recommend you stay anywhere else in Leon! Nothing. Our stay was faultless. Thank you.

• 178ivorm (10/5): A GOOD PLACE TO STAY - I stayed here during my tour of central America. This is a lovely hotel, a lovely old building with a lovely central garden. My room was well equipped. Meals were taken in the hotel restaurant. The hotel claims to have a gym/fitness room bu in fact there were only three pieces of equipment of which only one was working properly. Very close to the city centre.

Es sind einfache Zimmer, Frühstück nichts besonderes, insgesamt sehr hellhörig (ich habe 2x in 2 Tagen das Personal gebeten, sich um 7uhr morgens doch nicht laut auf dem hallenden Flur zu unterhalten). The staff were very friendly, and a special thank you to Rosa and Sherley, who answered every single question and were always happy to help. The hotel’s location was excellent, and the gardens were beautiful. The pool was rather small, but refreshing enough to cool down in the León heat.

Die Zimmer sind dunkel; kleine vergitterte Fenster, mit Pflanzen direkt vor dem Fenster; icht wirklich schön. Dazu fehlen für ein 4 Sterne Haus einige Dinge: Duschgel, Wasserkocher, Kaffee etc. Der Fitnessraum muss dringend überarbeitet werden, billige Plastikgeräte und kaum zu gebrauchen. Der Pool ist viel kleiner als die Bilder vermuten lassen und es gibt genau 2 Liegen ohne Sonnenschutz.

• GoFullNomad (6/5): Beautiful Property, Greedy Management and Secure Motorcycle Parking - This is a beautiful property in the heart of the city. It has secure parking for my motorcycle, although it is a bit of a walk from the parking to the room. Internet speed is fast, the AC works well,, and the hot water is good. When I checked in it was 1 hour before check-in time, and the clerk told me I could have the room, but I would need to pay an extra $15, which was about 20% of the total cost of the room. I really don't like it when hotels attempt to take advantage of their guests by charging an exorbitant amount to get access to the room one hour early. Since I left the room several hours before check-out time, I'm wondering if I can get a refund on an hourly basis. At $15 an hour, I should get almost a full refund.

• Odyssey696074 (10/5): Beautiful old converted convent - This type of hotel is not for everyone - but - the ambience overrules any or indeed any of its shortcomings. It's a converted convent, I believe 300 years old and it's been converted very sympathetically and retains all the old architecture. You walk in off the street to a beautiful courtyard garden, like a lot of old buildings in Nicaragua. The rooms surround it and are comfortable, clean and totally satisfactory - however hot water requires patients the plumbing is not modern, but the AC works and the beds comfortable. The staff do not speak great English but were all friendly and helpful. Our bad for not learning their language to be fair. Lovely place to stay for a visit to this, the capital of their revolution.

Small pool that we didn’t use but rather drove to the nearby beach. The hotel very kindly offered free passes for the nearby art museum - a must see! Breakfast was quite disappointing. Limited offer and look warm food — but we survived 😉

Service is excellent starting with reception through to the restaurant and housekeeping. Our courtyard-facing room was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. Breakfast overlooking the courtyard garden is good. The hotel is situated in the center of town just steps away from Leon’s many interesting sites and good restaurants.

Мы встречали Новый год, поэтому были несколько удивлены, когда вернулись в отель около 00:30 1 января - весь свет в общих зонах, холле и ёлка были выключены. Пришлось идти в номер, хотя планы были посидеть еще в красивом интерьере.

• Peter (9/5): - Beautiful facility with nice antiques throughout. Our room was on the inside which at first seemed a bit of an afterthought but was very quiet. Breakfast was good. Room included two passes to the art museum up the street which is impressive. Large collection of contemporary art by Central American artists, and a sizeable collection of European art from the 1500s-1900s, including a small Picasso sketch and a couple paintings from Braque. We enjoyed our stay. There was an additional $40 on top of the booking fee which was inexplicable. While this was a very nice hotel, our favorite concerted mission home converted to a hotel was in Suchitoto El Salvador - Los Almendros de Sal Lorenzo. Similar price point and impeccably restored and decorated.
