We were given 'disability ' room with said bathroom although we had booked early. Water everywhere with no way to clean up. Makes floor slippery. A mop and bucket in the corner would have been handy. If a couple where spouse is carer, they would have to be skinny to fit down side of bed under windows. We managed as both able-bodied. Tap on basin could poke your eye out if you get too close .

Had food and it was nice. The AC was making noise, the toilet was overflowing with water dripping continuously in the commode, and there was a lot of noise outside early in the morning, which made us a little uncomfortable on vacation.

I felt safe as there is a security door before you get to your room . We could eat in the hotel bistro then go straight to our room after a long day driving . The shower was hot and had excellent pressure . Cosy comfortable bed and I could log into my Netflix . What more could you want ?? The staff are also very friendly . This is the 5th time I’ve stayed at this hotel The first room we were allocated I could hear the aircon fan rattling outside . I let them know and they said they will let maintenance know to fix it and we were moved to a quieter room . Very accomodating

• Phil (9/5): Not your average country pub. - When walking through the doors of the Windsor Castle Hotel I though I was walking into a club. I was expecting a typical country pub, but this place was fantastic. Plenty of tables to eat at, the room was spacious. Additionally the girl on reception went out of her way to explain the layout and workings of the pub to three tired travellers. I would definately stay here again.

Didn't bother us but might others. Bathroom walls could do with a good clean as condensation dripping could be seen on walls. Small table top was damaged and could do with cleaning/replacement.

I paid for the accommodation prior to the stay but they didn't give me details about getting the keys so we couldn't even get into the room that I booked. I have repeatedly contacted them before arriving and after arriving there about getting the keys but have not received any response. Apparently the emergency mobile number they provided is the "wrong number" I have been asking and waiting for a refund but have not received any reaponse even now, 3 days later. Even Booking.com too days to respond with "We have already reached out to the property to clarify the situation, and once we receive their response, we will proceed with processing your refund for this accommodation." I have reported them to Fair Trading. This is fraud at its finest. I'm sure Booking.com will blame the hotel and vice versa.

• Margie (3/5): we would not stay at Windsor castle again - Our room was #1, right beside entrance to motel. Many times during the night, we were disturbed by door banging, loud voices, people running through back and forth. Not a relaxed night at all

The internet was totally useless and when it was working was sporadic. We used our phones instead. The fawcett in our basin was very loose probably from guests trying to fill up the jug for a cuppa. Although pleasant we may not stay again Breakfast was unavailable but has never been available at this establishment I personally found the bed very hard and uncomfortable

• Katrine (9/5): Highly recommend this great priced hotel in a quiet area with everything you need - At the door parking was great. Easy check in by very efficient personable staff member. Room was a great size. Bed was very comfortable and cleanliness top notch. Ate in the dinning room for both nights. Staff went above and beyond for my dietary needs. As a diagnosed Celiac its always a gamble to find a kitchen that understands the risk of getting ill while eating out. The staff were very knowledgeable and understood the risk of cross contamination and their re-assurance their preparation and use separate fryers allowed me to have a delicious schnitzel I hadn't had in years. Lovely staff serviced our room. Will stay again.
