• Haan (3/5): Deed niet aan de verwachtingen, je wilt 3 dingen kunnen slapen, douchen en naar de toilet. Helaas voldeed het alleen aan - Het ziet er van de buitenkant mooi uit. Ik zou 3 nachten blijven maar ben na 1 nacht weg gegaan. Ik kwam eerst in het eerste bungalow huisje daar deed de wc het niet. Werd verplaatst naar een andere daar deed douche het niet (er kwamen 2 druppels uit). Ben terug gegaan alleen was er helaas geen oplossing dus ik kon niet douchen. De dag er na in de ochtend deed bij dit huisje de douche,wc en kraan het niet. Heb toen besloten te gaan helaas voldeed het niet aan de verwachtingen. En om van het hotel weer naar de pier te gaan kunnen zij geen taxi regelen, je moet aan de weg gaan wachten op een taxi.

• JANEZ (8/5): Very good - Very friendly receptionist. Beatiful bungalow set in the tropical garden at the foot of hill covered by forest. The bungalow with very big air- conditioned room and the bathroom. It was clean and the bed comfortable, the nights very quiet. I'd like to come back again.

• Jocelyn (8/5): Spacious bungalow set in lush gardens - Lovely spacious bungalow, with AC, fan & balcony set in lush gardens and monkeys roaming freely! Easy walk to town and beach, or plenty of tuk tuks available! Set slightly back from main road, some road noise but not too bad. Quiet at night. 7-Eleven right next door! Shower pressure not great! Pool was small, we didn’t use it as it looked a bit off colour.. Didn’t bother us as we prefer the beach anyway.
• Gerald (7/5): Wenn das Zimmer € 50,- pro Nacht kostet wäre es total in Ordnung. - Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, gut funktionierende Klimaanlage, die Sitzgelegenheit am Pool ist recht nett. Wir waren in einem Zimmer - nicht im Bungalow. Der Preis war zu hoch (€ 100,- pro Nacht ohne Frühstück). Für diesen Preis erwarte ich mir keinen sandigen Zugang, keinen Strassenlärm, kein schepperndes Fenster wenn der Wind blässt.

• Conor (7/5): Pleasant - Pleasant place to stay. Clean and comfortable, wifi and air con worked. Helpful staff who did laundry and arranged motorbike hire. This is a particularly good location if you are going to get a bike as it’s not on the beach (15min/1km walk to beach which I did several times). Next door to 7/11 which was handy for coffee yoghurt and a pastry in the morning (there are some cafes too including one in resort). It’s also walking distance to Saladan which has the pier and a food market, pharmacies etc Not a problem with the hotel but five nights was too much on ko lanta for a solo traveller - it’s a beautiful but quiet island. Bed was very firm which I loved but might be an issue for some.

• Janez (8/5): - Exceptionally friendly receptionist, the bungalow was spacious, furnished with the air conditionner, refrigerator and coffee machine. The bed was very confortable. There is no meal options at this resort. It is located along the main road in the south of Saladan town, so easy to reach the Ramada pier on foot. The bungalows are set in a nice park of tropical plants and flowers at the forest hillfoot and the wild monkeys come occasionally to visit the garden.

• Rainer (5/5): OPTIMIERUNGSBEDARF - Das Rim Khao Resort hat ein neuer Owner Ehepaar seit Oktober 25. Sie versuchen die in die Jahre gekommene Anlage mit Sträuchern und vielen Blumen sowie Sichtschutzzäunen aufzuhübschen. Das ist gut und nötig. Was uns gefallen hat ist die Nähe zu Saladan, die doch ruhige Lage hinter der Strasse. Vorm Ressort gibt's jetzt einen 7/11 sowie, wers denn braucht, einen Kifferladen. Nicht gefallen hat uns der deutlich zu hohe Preis. Neben dem Bungalow haben sie einen Wirtschaftsraum und ab 6.00 Uhr läuft die Waschmaschine, was beim Schlafen stört.. Der Hausmeister hat da auch seine Werkstatt und sägt und hämmert. Das Reinigungspersonal wirkt depressiv, sehr verlangsamt und macht sauber nach Lust und Laune. Der Muezin in der nahegelegenen Mosche muss auch immer noch seinen Senf dazu geben.Die Affeninvasionen sind anfangs sehr lustig, können aber nervig werden, wenn man immer aufpassen muss, dass nichts geklaut wird. 75 €/ Tag jedenfalls kann man besser investieren, da weder Strandlage noch Pool vorhanden.

• Andy (5/5): was ok for a short stay, however would go elsewhere, bit unhelpful reception & constant ants in room - travelling with daughter and partner, booked a double bed and single bed, was greeted at reception by a youngster who spoke no english, even my thai partner who speaks a bit of thai, he was unresponsive to her weirdly. took us to our room and it was just a double bed. I said there's been a mistake, he then called the owner i think and she spoke a bit of english and swapped me to another room which was 2 single beds, i went back to reception and said we booked a double and single we should get that room, called the owner again, she apologised and said stay in it tonight and my room will be ready tomorrow, we said no, they then discussed some more and then said ok we give you another room, they then took me to the room i paid for, i have no idea why they couldn't just give it to me in the first place. Was ready to cancel but after all the back and forth i couldn't be bothered as was too tired to find somewhere else. The room was ok, quite basic, constant ants on the floor/bed when there wasn't any food nearby. Never ate at the place so can't comment on that. Only good thing is it's in a good location and hiring a bike was 250 baht a day, other than that, i'd go elsewhere.

• Benedict (5/5): The room should have been cleaner. - The lady managing the property was friendly and responsive. The resort is close to the main village and a short walk from the main beach. The triple room came with a living room so was more like a small apartment. The room should have been much cleaner. I was not in one of the bungalows but a separate block. I only booked at short notice and I felt the room had not been freshly prepared. The bed, bathroom and towels were all clean but the floor and surfaces were in need of a good clean. The small kitchen area hadn't been cleaned in some time. The water went off a couple of times but only for an hour or so.

It was high season and we wanted to stay longer. They were fully booked but found us somewhere else to stay. Shirt walk to the beach along the main road. Easy to walk it when it's cooler but not in the middle of the day.

• Laura (8/5): A very pleasant stay. - The bungalow was very spacious and clean, and I loved having a little balcony to sit on. The owner was very welcoming and pleasant, and all of the staff were friendly. It was a bit stressful trying to cross the road to get to and from the beach, especially after sunset when it's hard for the drivers to see you darting across.

• Jessica (6/5): Pleasant - As a budget alternative it's a good choice. I missed having a shorter walking distance to the beach (this distance is ok, around 15 minutes) as I stayed in another hotel before this (and it wasn't that much more expensive and had a pool). The staff is very friendly and accomodated me very well. I could recommend this hotel for a couple of days stay but not a longer one as I personally truly enjoy having easy access to the beach. Thin walls and a lot of noise from other guests and the road (we stayed in a bungalow in the far end). But with ear plugs it works fine.

• Frank (9/5): We enjoyed a week at this resort. - Mrs. Som and her daughter Atama are very friendly and nice and the house are nice too, spacious enough and clean, set around a nice garden. So easy that they serve (good!) coffee as well as breakfast. They also rent motorbikes and can organize trips. So: everything is in good hands; a recommended place. There are a few things that are getting a bit older now, like furniture and in the bathroom, but still OK.

• Jan (9/5): Yes, I would have no problem choosing to stay there again. - There is no breakfast. I was VERY surprised to learn I couldn't pay by credit card. Was able to get money but wasn't in the money budget. That would make me think twice. Had to ask for water every day, but I received it once asked. The beach is 10 or more minutes walk down the Main Street the down a side street. I will say that once I walked off the Main Street and turned towards my bungalow, the crickets and other sounds caused me to feel calm and happy. For that reason, I really liked it. Not having to ask for water daily would have been nice. Except for the walk distance to the beach, oh, and no pool, I liked what I got. And I did see a monkey on the grounds the first afternoon.

• Tom (10/5): 10 out of 10 thankyou very much!🤣 - What can I say, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left the people running this place made us feel at home, coffee was great, food was great, it’s about a 3 minute drive/ 15 minute walk from the pier so great location, the pictures on booking.com don’t do this place justice lovely rooms and a lovely garden too, we got a scooter and booked our transfer to koh yao yai with rim Khao too Thanks rim khao if we ever come back to koh lanta this is the place we will stay and if anyone we know is making there way there we will recommend you 100% thanks for your hospitality We didn’t stay longer

• Karen (6/5): Great value superb setting. Let down by the bathroom - The lush green gardens with the jungle backdrop is superb. Location in town is excellent. Monkeys come down to visit each day. Wonderful The bathroom wasn’t clean. The shower water smells appalling until it has run for several minutes.
• Sharan (9/5): Good value, comfortable stay. - The bungalow itself is a good size with useful furnishings and good AC. I found it very comfortable. I did have earplugs though which was useful as the monkeys can be a bit noisy early morning. The location was great for Khlong Dao beach which is a very nice, relaxing beach - I didn’t find it too busy. There are also great restaurants and cafes nearby. The laundry service is really good value and fast. My clothes were very fresh and clean. The owner is very nice too, and can organise trips/tours, and is generally very approachable. The Wifi connection wasn’t the best. I switched to a different router as I couldn’t get much of a connection to the first, it was slightly better but still patchy. They do have a few that you can try though.

After I checked out the next day property contacted me via booking and tried to claim that I didn't make the payment and demanded me to pay for the stay 2nd time. I don't know if the property tried to scam me or if it was a mistake but I received no apology after the incident.

• Gabriele (7/5): Great stay, for the price 👍 - Spacious loft, the best part is that if you wake up early you get to see monkeys around the garden! The staff has been super nice and helpful. They rent out motorbikes you can use to get around the island. Good value for money. Very basic, no toiletries, shampoo bottles or soap provided. The cleanliness is a weak spot, as you may find ants (few small ones, no big deal) in the bed linen. The shower is not separated from the rest of the bathroom, but functional anyway. Since the drain had some flowing issues, the bathroom got flooded at every shower.
