- Doris (9/5): Great experience overall! - The room was clean and spacious, exactly as described. Emanuele was gracious and super responsive! He arranged my airport transportation quickly and gave some good suggestions on things to do on a public holiday as most things would be closed that day. The Wi-Fi was a bit inconsistent during my stay. Emanuele explained they had recently changed providers and were aware of the issue and working to address it.
- Hans (9/5): Prima service, en verblijf. Aanrader - Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar, en goed bereikbaar. Door omstandigheden arriveerden wij veel te vroeg. Toevallig was onze kamer al beschikbaar en wij mochten wij eerder inchecken. De B&B is zeer centraal gelegen in een rustig straatje. De kamer was zoals beschreven, ruim, en een erg ruime en moderne badkamer. De B&B is schoon en de B&B heeft een eigen vanaf de straat bereikbare ingang. De B&B bevind zich op de 1e verdieping. Het ontbijt is prima. De kamer is voorzien van airco, koelkast. De airco hebben wij niet gebruikt tijdens ons verblijf. Op advies van de eigenaar hebben wij ene shared taxi vanaf het vliegveld genomen. Dit koste nagenoeg het zelfde als het openbaar vervoer. Na het uitchecken heeft de eigenaar voor ons een taxi geregeld die ons naar de haven bracht. Deze taxi rit kost 15 a 20 euro. Lopend is de haven ook prima te bewandelen maar met een zware koffer over de oude straten heen is het zeker een taxirit waard, Bijna naast de B&B is een zeer goede ijswinkel, zeker het proeven waard. Niks, uitstekende service, prima verblijf. Als wij toch iets moeten zoeken, de bedden kraken een beetje maar daar liggen ze niet minder om.

Ein Ehepaar das dieses B&B mit Herz betreibt .Alles sehr sauber .Die Lage konnte besser nicht sein wir haben alle Sehenswürdigkeiten problemlos zu Fuß erreicht. - Kristina (8/5): A warm-welcome stay - I did like a lot the hospitality of the owners. They are very welcoming and ready to help. The location is wonderful, in the historical city center, and close to the train/bus station, 10 minutes by walk directly. The availability of a coffee machine in a room was a fantastic option for those who need to wake up early and have breakfast. In my opinion, the cost of the stay was fairly excessive for June, but other than that, I have no complaints.

At the beginning of our stay we were offered to use the airport transfer directly from the hotel and the price of 20 EUR ( 10 EUR for each person) was proposed for this service. We asked for this option at the end ( my fault that I did not confirm the offer before we enter the car) and the final request at the destination was 50 EUR. This missunderstanding partly destroyed very good impresssions from Ponticello B&B.

Det var perfekt beliggenhet i en tilbaketrukket bakgate, til tross for at det bare var 3-4 min å gå til 4 canti. Mange restauranter og barer å velge mellom i liten radius fra hotellet

La posizione è ideale, a soli 2 minuti a piedi dai Quattro Canti, perfetta per visitare il centro. La colazione ottima e abbondante. Un ringraziamento speciale a Emanuele, una persona squisita: disponibile, simpatico e accogliente. Ci ha fatto sentire a casa, permettendoci di lasciare i bagagli sia prima del check-in che dopo il check-out. Un’ospitalità rara che ci ha colpiti molto. Consigliatissimo, torneremo sicuramente! 🌟

The room was cute and had little extras like colored lights in the bathroom. The staff made us feel welcomed and valued. The breakfast was wonderful and Emanuel went out of his way to get us soy milk for our cappucinos. We forgot some prescription eyeglasses there and Emanuel contacted us right away and helped arrange them to be shipped to the USA! We wanted to stay longer and will definitely return to our new friends at B&B Ponticello!!! The only bummer was that the rooms were upstairs but it actually was okay as Emanuel helped us get our bags up and down the steps. Also being upstairs felt safe and cozy!

- Joe (10/5): Fantastic. Clean comfortable safe &very relaxing, centre of Palermo! - This our second stay here. Comfortable room, host very helpful and friendly, Could not want for anything. Generous buffet breakfast. Location, less than a minutes walk from the main historic centre of Palermo, with a wide choice of restaurants, cafes and ice-cream parlours within a few minutes walk. Main train station is an easy 15 minutes walk (or take a taxi). Host organised our early morning taxi to airport without any fuss, we didn't want to leave. Thank you Emanuele. Only minor point that we could think of is all rooms are up a single flight of stairs on first floor from reception, not really an issue for us.

- Joe (10/5): Fantastic - booked to come here again soon! - Location- less than a minute walk to get into the central tourist area of Palermo- however just far enough away to allow a good night's sleep, however good double glazing kept any rare street noise out. Breakfast and host, fantastic, could not ask for more. Made us feel very welcome, buffet breakfast was a good start to the day. Felt very safe as reception had good modern security. Infact we liked the place so much we have booked to stay again! Only minor point, all rooms are on first floor so one flight of steps to negotiate from reception, however having the rooms on the first floor ment more space for rooms and we felt safer.
- Connector36444590849 (6/5): Make sure you don’t book the cheapest room. - Small b&b with good location in Palermo center. Booked apparently the cheapest room which has no window towards outside. This was not mentioned on our booking through Hotels.com (which I don’t know who is to blame for this). The only window from the room is towards breakfast room where the light is on the whole night and shines to your room. Obviously disturbing the sleep. Without this the place would have been ok. So make sure you book a different room. Breakfast was average with a staff member supervising the coffee machine etc..
- Dr. (5/5): Not to be recommended - Quiet room in a not fully booked B&B pension. WiFi most of the time without fail, occasionally unstable. Very good location, in the centre of the old town, all sightseeing spots easily reachable on foot, Friendly host, only speaking Italian. Very modest furnishing of the room. The only seat was an uncomfortable wooden chair! Otherwise one had to sit or lie on the bed. But the worst thing was the breakfast, it was to be served at 9 am only which is equal to no breakfast at all being on offer. For those of us who are used to early breakfasts it was a nightmare, in my personal global experience it was the latest breakfast ever offered anywhere. The practice in the ordinary Sicilian B§B places was 8 o'clock., which is already late enough. My solution was to have a first breakfast in the room and to go for the "official" breakfast as a second breakfast. However, this was no obvious option, because there are no plates, only cups, or cutlery in the room. There is a fridge, officially for a small minibar, and a type of Nespresso machine which produced coffee with capsules (two provided by the house per day) which did not properly function without flooding the table. The breakfast itself consists of a tiny buffet, consisting mainly of sweet pieces of cake or cookies, and a croissant. A small cup of factory yoghurt is also available on demand, and of course coffee, with of without milk. Another weak point is the shower in the bathroom which only consists of a handheld shower. The bathroom floor is regularly flooded, notwithstanding great care. Overall the place is., compared to other and better pensions, seriously overpriced.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst ever - We thought we were staying in a band b (bed and breakfast) but it seems this is untrue if you want breakfast it was an additional 8 euros and from what we saw it wasn’t worth it to me saying you are a band b is false advertising, room extremely small box room size and no windows, drains in bathroom smelt of raw sewage , no free water provided had to pay for everything additionally so would I stay again definitely not and would I recommend absolutely NO how the owner can say he has 9.6 from booking . Com is beyond me not sure where the reviews are coming from. We had been looking forward to Palermo and this experience has been the worst of our 2.5 weeks in Italy

- Lloyd (10/5): Despite Palermo being large city, it is a beautiful city to visit. - Our host was so helpful in so many ways imaginable. It made a difference in our stay. It was a little difficult to locate, as it often is in these old historic areas. But a really friendly person with a little street business dropped everything to locate our B+B. The Italians are really quite amazing with their willingness to be helpful.

- Robert (9/5): Great choice for Palermo - Our host, Emanuelle, was very helpful to us and patient with our questions. The location is superb-- easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see in Palermo. It was a very doable walk from the train station. Set back a few steps from the main pedestrian street, via Maqueda, this small, boutique BnB is nicely designed and modern looking. The room and bathroom were very well equipped-- mini fridge, kettle, and plenty of electrical outlets. The bathroom was fully equipped, and everything was immaculately clean. Our room opened onto the passing street, which had traffic (pedestrian, cycle, cars, horses) but never bothered us. At night, it was very quiet. We very much liked the digital padlock at the front door with our own personal entry code. The room key was the typical RFID card. The room was airy, good AC, and bright. Really nothing. I would advise prospective guests that the rooms are on 1st floor (ie up one flight from street level) and are accessible by stairs. I f you absolutely could not climb steps, be forewarned.

Location is great, in the city centre, short walk to the sights Palermo has to other. Not forgetting to mention all the restaurants and shops.

- Charles (9/5): Other than that one incident everything else was as I expected - Central location was excellent Can use a better method for transportation with taxi to airport, while they provided a ride as promised for a 4:30am pick up I had to wait outside so the taxi could see me, 4:30 in the morning in Palermo isn’t pretty as dozens of shady characters are walking the streets, in my case I had an incident with someone who kept asking me for money and kept coming closer and closer to me to the point that I needed to shove him away as I felt he was definitely trying to rob me, luckily he realized I wasn’t having no part of that, but others might not have been so lucky, other than that Palermo was what I expected

Staying at B&B Ponticello during my visit to Palermo, and I must say it was an excellent experience. The location of this B&B is truly fantastic, situated centrally and close to many historical sites. It made exploring the city incredibly convenient and accessible. The cleanliness of the B&B was impeccable. The rooms were well-maintained and spotless, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. I truly appreciated the attention to detail when it came to cleanliness, and it enhanced my overall stay.

Clean, quiet, beds comfortable, breakfast amazing!!! Emanuel was a top notch 10 host!!! I would highly recommend staying here. A/C, nice private baths, wonderful location within walking distance of train and bus. It was a wonderful time. We will return!
