(The hotel we had previously booked for our Wichita stay had an issue....NO HOT WATER!) We give this hotel a thumbs up on staff friendliness & efficiency, great breakfast and a comfortable oversized room. This will be our "go-to" hotel on all future trips to Wichita.

No microwave in room, and I was charged for my dog, which has never happened at a Hampton Inn. We’ve stayed at many. The staff seemed hyper-trained about the dog rules, and I was questioned in detail about his standing with an organization I’ve never heard of, so I just paid the fee.

• dianaoB7946YV (4/5): Hilton Honor Inconsistencies - Why do the Hilton Hampton Inn Honors amenities vary so greatly between Hampton Inns? Between Eastern USA and Midwest, visiting almost a dozen Hampton Inns, we've experienced receiving 2 water bottles and 2 snacks, 2 water bottles and 2 snacks and 2 more water bottles in the room, morning snack bags for the road (this is very rare), no water and only snacks, a choice between water and a snack, and nothing at all. For Honor Members this is very frustrating and disappointing that there is such inconsistencies between Hampton Inns. They should do better.

• KKJACKS (8/5): Good 1 night stay, clean and quiet - I frequent many Hilton brand hotels for work and personal travel, often at Hamptons, Home2 Suites or Homewood Suites. This Hampton was the best Hampton I’ve stayed in a long time! Hampton is usually great for its simplicity and decent cost for the room, but for some reason this property really impressed me. I only stayed one night, but multiple nights for a business trip would also be comfortable. You can count on a clean hotel, nice room space and a decent included breakfast. If in the Wichita area again, I’d definitely consider this hotel for a future stay. Pros: Quiet – never heard other guests (I did select a top floor room when checking in on the APP) and no revving cars on nearby roads. Location – plenty of dining/shopping nearby AC/thermostat function – I LOVED that I could keep the AC functioning while still having the fan at constant on. This is a big deal for me as I appreciate the white noise, but also need to know AC will work through the night. While the unit wasn’t particularly quiet when the AC cycled on/off, it was still a big positive for me. Appreciated the liquid hand soap, as well as a bar soap. Coffee/Tea bar was adequately stocked with a good variety. Oatmeal and toppings were good. I did miss having an English muffin option in the bread box, but there were other bread items available as typical. Room with water views are really nice. I didn’t get a chance to walk on the trails, but they looked nicely maintained. Cons: The room could use a shade system integrated into the window for more complete light blocking. The decorative shades did pretty good, but there was still light pollution coming in from the edges. The mattress seemed well-used and not very supportive at all – I didn’t sleep well because of it, but I find this the case in many of the Hamptons and Home2Suites I’ve stayed.
• Bernadette (10/5): - Our room was nice and clean. The furniture and decor were more modern/updated than at other hotels (If that matters. Not too important to us). The front desk staff was friendly both at check in and out, as well as accommodating when we requested an infant bed and extra bedding later in the evening. Family members enjoyed the pool and especially the relaxing firepit outside. The only odd feature to our room was the sliding door to the bathroom. It either closed the closet or slid to close the "bathroom door." However, it didn't latch, so it was easily moved by someone while someone else was needing/wanting it closed (uhm, toddlers, lol). We left too early for breakfast, but the area was visible and appeared very clean.

Breakfast was adequate & typical with what we have seen from other Hamptons. We would stay here again!
• JWalterDon (10/5): Excellent Hotel! - Excellent Hampton Inn… we needed to be in this particular area of town to visit family and the Hampton Inn was perfect. Immaculate rooms, great proximity to restaurants and shopping, and the property is situated on the edge of the Pracht Wetlands, which offered a beautiful view. Hilton/Hampton should be proud of this property!
• 955rodneyb (10/5): Nice, Comfortable Stay in Witchita - I was in Wichita, for my first time, on a business trip. I was here for the week installing some equipment for a new facility my company was opening locally. I mainly picked this hotel because that is where pretty much everyone else said they had been staying. The hotel appears to be fairly new. There is a nice, well equipped workout room and nice indoor pool. While the pool is not very large, there were never many people using it. In the back, there are two nice patios, one with a gas fire pit. Another nice feature about the hotel was that there is a water refuge behind it, with a sidewalk. This made for a nice evening walk. There are also plenty of restaurants in the area for meals. The entire experience was very enjoyable.

They have many choices in the breakfast area, both hot and cold - eggs, sausage potatoes, toast, bagels, yogurt, cereal, waffles, fruit, etc. the breakfast was good. We would definitely stay here again.

The last 3 or so times ive stayed (several months apart) ive had the same long haired gentleman check me in and the same very kind middle aged attendant at breakfast. The fact that this place has consistent staff that are always exceptionally kind and courteous really takes the cake for me and brings me back.

I was supposed to have a King Suite. I used Expedia so the front desk person told me they could NOT help me since I used a third-party to book the room. She offered me extra blankets for my guest to sleep on the floor! I HAD to check in since my daughter had a dance competition and was scheduled to dance in a couple of hours and had to get ready. Since I checked in, Expedia would not help,and stated it was the hotel's issue now. The hotel stated it was Expedia's issue. The manager was "off duty" and the front desk person was unable to do anything to remedy the situation. I have always had great experiences with Hilton properties until this weekend! I have also always used and had great experiences with Expedia until this weekend! No one wanted to take responsibility for the fact that I PAID for a room I was not given and both parties were just satisfied that I had a room...a room that entailed one of my guests having to sleep on the floor! Horrible customer service with both Hampton Inn and Expedia!

Checked in on a Wednesday, had to track down housekeeping Thursday evening to get fresh towels, because the room was not serviced. Friday, had to track down staff, because the conditioner in the shower, because the room had not been serviced. Got up early Saturday to check out, but had to find staff at 5 am, because the room hadn’t been serviced and the room was out of toilet paper. Unacceptable…

• Sarah (8/5): - Was a lovely hotel with beautiful clean and comfortable room but no dining area for lunch or dinner. Restaurants you had to walk 10mins.. not ideal when you are arriving late but there was a great Sports Bar just 15 mins walk
• Ronda (6/5): - I stayed in two different rooms- both had a different odor - maybe try some air fresheners. I heard from a friend that was staying in another room that her air conditioner was very noisy.

• DAVID (10/5): NJCAA basketball tournament - Very nice facility in a great location. Sweet lady managing good breakfast selection.
• Blair (1/5): Front desk charged me twice and it went down from there! Pool bathroom was filthy. Pool drains clogged so the entire poo - We liked location Location
• Griselda (10/5): - Friendly staff
• Stuart (10/5): - This is a really wonderful hotel. However, it’s pretty easy to hear what’s going on in your neighbor’s rooms, especially on a floor above you. Still, a wonderful property.
