Guest Reviews
- Christopher (10/5): - I loved it! Excellent location in the medina, the hostel is situated within walking distance to many landmarks. Hamza was a very hospitable and warm host, along with the staff who constantly looked out for me and attended to my every need. The riad is absolutely beautiful and the view from the terrace is wonderful.

- Kobolák (10/5): Very good place:) Hamza, thank you for everything. Greetings from Hungary!:) Yusuf -

- Alan (1/5): Made us feel like intruders into someone's private space - The location is good. We didn't stay in this hotel. They moved us to another one that they own (Layla Rouge), saying that our room wasn't available. We complained about this to booking.com and the owners responded with a series of lies about "suggesting" and "proposing" an "idea" for an "upgrade". (The hotel room they moved us to had the same facilities and was much smaller.) They also said we hadn't complained about anything during our "entire" stay (we stayed for one night) whereas we had complained about the staff having an extended row with each other outside our room, about no wifi in the room no shampoor or soap in the whower, and had sent a message of complaint to them in the morning while we were still there (They didn't respond) in the morning after I had to wake the staff up to get us our breakfast. The room was quite nice but expensive for what it was, and there was a hole in the bedsheet, broken lamps, a toliet without a door rather than a "bathroom"

- Georgia (10/5): Beautiful, transitional, great value for money - Beautiful, traditional hostel with lovely rooftop to hangout. Such great value, includes breakfast. Hamza who hosted made it even more special - he is kind, helpful and attentive. Highly recommend and wish to return! N/A

- Sonnet (7/5): -
- Kamil (5/5): - Lokalizacja blisko placu el-finna, medyna, klimatyczne uliczki w drodze do riadu. Gospodarz zawsze uśmiechnięty i pomocny.
- Soumya (6/5): - Great location right in the medina! Breakfast was yum and generous. The room is super small and there were only two working plug points in a room that slept six. Also the bathroom was in the room but the door didnt reach the roof or ceiling so you could hear everything every time anyone uses the toilet.
No pudimos descansar correctamente. Las instalaciones podrían mejorarse.
- Natalia (10/5): - The hostel is great, comfortable, I received excellent service, I definitely recommend it

- Ian (10/5): - Everything Perfect Everything Perfect
- Antonatos (1/5): Very poor - The main area was beautiful The rooms were small but we knew it, we choose it for the location, the problem was that it was very dirty, the bathroom trash bin was full, and the toilet in general wasn’t cleaned before our stay, the mattress had a hole in the middle
- Veronica (1/5): UN ASCO!!!
- piotr (7/5): -
- Thomas (8/5): A great stay with a great host! - Hamza was a lovely host and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. The room was very spacious and the facilities were great. The hostel was pretty central and walking distance from most places. The breakfast each morning was delicious. The wifi only worked for us when we were downstairs.
- Mouzhir (8/5): -
- Francr72 (7/5): -
- Sandra (9/5): Very confortable and welcoming - The staff was very kind and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, the beds were very comfortable, and the location was good. It was a bit difficult to find the place on the first day
- Graeme (1/5): - Nothing This was operated as a bait and switch. A beautiful riad on the pictures, I spoke at length to the host. The second I made payment they told me it was full and they had a sister hotel of the Layla riad available. The second hotel was not one I would have booked. Extremely disappointed but at 10pm at night I had little option. Seeking refund. DO NOT BOOK.

- Brian (10/5): Hostel right in the centre of the action - The manager was sooo kind to me and looked after me. It was a lot of steps for me.
- Marion (4/5): Don’t stay - The design was kinda cool, only I was relocated to riad dia hostel without any notice in advance . This hostel has a bigger common spac. Because of no hot water and electricity problem I got without notice in advance relocated . I got relocated to another hostel called riad dia. The bed was terrible hard , woke up couple of times because of pain of the bed mattress. It was freezing cold . Only people smoking on terrace, no atmosphere. The host in riad dia was not communicating. He forgot my breakfast mention more times .

- Wespi (5/5): - Nice host, always available coffee and tea. Expensive for what we got and the lack of real butter was a downer for us...
- zvirbulis (7/5): - Location is quite good Very small room. But done as good as it could be.
- Perla (9/5): Hamza molto carino e gentile! La struttura vicino la piazza centrale, negozietti e ristoranti vicini a 5 min a piedi - Posizione, staff
- Lineo Patricia (1/5): I didn't even bother to stay anymore due to the bad condition - Nothing was impressing everything not in good condition The environment, and was not clean
- Eduardo (4/5): -
- Audrey (4/5): Kind host, no english or french. Overbooked, did not stay - I booked at Jenna but didn’t have the chance to stay there because they were overbooked. Past midnight, coming back from a 18 hours bus ride, being told that we will be switched hostel because its overbooked.. did not appreciate.
I wanted to stay there but then we had to walk further into the medina (wich i wanted to avoid for that night) and went to a hostel that i havent choose because of the reviews.
- Alice (10/5): - It wouldn't have been the same without the welcoming and the kindness of Hamza.
All have been good 🙂

- Oleksii (5/5): Not the best riad in Morocco but with good location - The location is great - close to the central market and to the road at the same time, so it is not a long walk if you have luggage. Possible to leave luggage if you have a late flight/departure. The owner should clearly state in the description that they do not tolerate any alcohol in the riad, even if you want to drink a glass of wine inside your room. After spending a week in Morocco it was the first time when we encountered this attitude. I know, this is islamic country, and they can make their own rules - but alcohol is sold in markets and not forbidden. Other Riads had no problem with drinking wine even during dinner in their public space. Among other annoying things - the spring bed was very uncomfortable, no soundproofing - the noise in the riad is heard twice as loud due to a "well" structure, the light in the room is very dim. Most of the rooms have bunk-beds, even a tent on the rooftop, so I guess it might be crowded during high season.

- Edward (10/5): Fantastic - Great property with very friendly staff. Beautiful view and incredible decorations and art.
- ruth (10/5): Most enjoyable stay. Close to all the action in the main square and the souks - Great breakfast each morning
Very personable host Hamza who was always in attendance. Very keen to help us with any request
- Rachel (10/5): Amazing experience - highly recommend! - Hosts were super friendly! Place was really clean, and everyone was super nice!
- Hassan (7/5): -
A wc-n nincs ajtó .
Merci.
- Abdelhakim (5/5): Disappointing - I like the colourful tiles and the staff attitude. I didn't like the fact that a tiny room had six beds. I mean you could barely move. The mattress was so old metal springs were dangerously out. Also, the electricity sockets were not working so I couldn't charge my phone.
- Ayano (9/5): Heartwarming experience! - Amazing staff and people:)! The staff are very friendly and helpful. One of the best experience I’ve ever had while I have been traveling more than 30 counties :) I stayed in the private room with 500dh, but not sure it was worthy. You might be able to find better rooms with the same price in Marrakech…
- Ana (6/5): -
- Andreas (9/5): - Hamza was a very nice host
- Faraydoen (10/5): - Very good staff nice breakfast
- Honda (10/5): - The people in general hosts & guests The space
- Assane (3/5): -
- Aleksandr (1/5): Seems like a scam - The host in Jennah Rouge seems nice and friendly but absolutely opposite in Riad Dia. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
They asked me to transfer to another hostel which called Riad Dia due to rain leakage in the room, by saying thay it is the same company.
However, they put me into cheaper room with more people in comparison with my original booking. When I asked for the price difference, all of sudden the host could not understand us/English, and just kept saying that "it is the same company".
It was getting even worse, the host came into the room in the middle of the night to talk with someone and woke up everyone in the room. Could you just awake that person up and talk outside?
There was a german couple who slept together on tiny upper bed and they made some different sounds all night, waking up everyone in the room.
In the end, the host asked us to pay 50 MAD per each suitcase to leave a luggage for a while, when Jennah Rouge host assured that it is for free.
The toilet is extremely dirty, and there are no any light coming inside the premise which quite depressing.
