• Govender (6/5): Perfect one night stay! - The rooms were clean and neat! There was a beautiful aroma that made the room smell fresh. We had clean bedding which was amazing. We had all utilities in the room such as a fridge. Loved the patio, we had our supper there and was quite safe. Insects were coming in through tiny gaps. The room/bathroom needs an upgrade. An airing would be great.

The units have a very damp smell which is not healthy to sleep in. All the units have water leaks. Bathrooms was of low standards. Utensils was rusty and also the dish rack. The fridge was not getting cold.. Very disappointing to be advertised on an international booking site

• Nosipho (10/5): I truly loved everything about room and found it comfortable, immediately review of your food safety - The room and bathroom was so spacious the breakfast provided was unacceptable and raised serious health and safety issues. Cereals and yoghurts were expired. Fruits were not fresh, and the bacon was dark and hard. Eggs, tomatoes, and mushrooms lacked taste and appeared poorly prepared. Bread was extremely stale, and beverages including coffee, tea, milk, and juice were of poor quality. Additionally, the in-room beverage setup was unhygienic: Teabags were uncovered. The tea and coffee set was full of dust. This experience was far below the expected standard and compromised both comfort and safety. I kindly request an immediate review of your food safety and hygiene practices.

• malinge (8/5): The place was home away from home. - The service was exceptional. There was value for money. All was well and the level of professionalism was exceptional.
• Adelaide (8/5): - Spacious rooms, clean and comfortable. It was an older accomodation but lots of care taken to make our stay value for money. Host was great for a last minute booking and accomodated our late check-in due to gross underestimation of travel time on our part. We got the rest we needed, before taking on the next part of our journey! Was a little aware of impact o other guests due to our late artival.

• Thuletu (3/5): I did not enjoy my stay , its like a haunted house, I will never stay there ever again. - Ive requested a room with a smoking area, my husband had to go out side the house in the balcony to smoke which means he had to go out of our room pass the dining hall in order to get in the smoking area.The room I booked was for 2 people but there's only one chair . The furniture is too old for my liking,the room was clean but it was not smelling fresh. There was no soap in the bathroom. It says there's a Wi-Fi but no one gave us the password for Wi-Fi.The lady who welcomed us was not friendly at all.The guy who came in the morning was very friendly but we were already living at the time he came.

• Sarah (6/5): Generally a good B & B. Can be improved upon. - I did not get breakfast. The location was good and the bed was extremely comfortable. Good shower with hot water. I have 3 complaints: 1. I was told when i arrived that the breakfast needs to be booked separately at an extra cost. I have never heard of a Bed and Breakfast that does not include breakfast in the price. 2. The step down into the bathroom. There should be tape or some sort of warning. I fell into the bathroom. 3. There is no bathroom light switch - just a pull cord inside the bathroom. I suggest it is moved to outside the bathroom as i left the bathroom light on all night so that I didnt fall again.
• Terry (5/5): Good thing it was only for 1 night. - To be honest, it was basically just a room to sleep the night in and I actually don't have much good to say that made me feel excited about staying there. Think they need to look at new pillows for the beds. The 4 that where on my bed where hard and flat, so had to sleep with the scatter pillows as well. Wi-Fi password was not given on entry to the premises. No breakfast offered in the morning.

• Lerato (5/5): Passable - in the morning we found our car opened and items stolen. its not a safe place at all. and the property management were not willing to listen to us. they need to tighten the security.
• Chenise (10/5): Absolutely lovely! - I highly recommend this B&B. Clean, neat, tidy, cozy with a lovely peaceful ambience. The owner is an absolute hospitable gem! He is kind & generous and was gracious enough to allow me to stay a few hours after checkout time - which is at 10:00- as I had to attend to an important appointment and, my trip back home was delayed. If I ever have to book accommodation in EL again, I will definitely return to Selborne B&B!

Could not attend breakfast, but the guest house manager prepared breakfast hampers for me instead and was very helpful in all aspects. TV and WIFI met expectations, No complaints. All good.

• Phoebe (7/5): Lovely and comfortable place. - My family and I had a good stay at Selborne Bed & Breakfast. Jemma communicated with me before we arrived and we were welcomed with a smile. She was a good host and allowed my family and I to invite a couple of my family members for a celebratory lunch as I had graduated. The B & B has a great dining space and lounge big enough to host about 10 to 12 visitors. I was happy with their service. Everything was good.
