Guest Reviews

Merci

- michael (6/5): Very expencive for what you get. Definitly not worth it. - The sister property was nice. And the breakfast was fine. The staff were really nice but the overall standard (when compared to the price versus other Riads) was really poor. Cold, noisy heating system, no effort to clean or maintain the roof area (where we were staying).
Riad splendido, pulito, accogliente.
- Mark (9/5): Perfect stay in Marrakech old town - We were delighted with our room and the location. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and make the stay very special. WiFi was a bit patchy.
Ras
- Niko (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Riad Zineb, the staff was kind and helpful. You will experience the warmth of Moroccan hospitality here. 10/10 perfect stay!
Rien
- Ane (10/5): Absolutely stunning riad with amazing staff, a true gem - Beautiful riad, great location in the middle of the medina with easy access to all important parts of the city. So authentic yet modern. Very nice breakfast on the rooftop terrasse of Zineb riad and also tasty dinner on the rooftop terrasse (with live music) of the next door sister riad of Karmella. We were lucky to have two beautiful rooms right by the pool. The staff organised all practical details like transportation and guide and excursions. Nothing

- sarah (10/5): A fantastic base for a stay in Marrakesh. - The building is a typical Moroccan Riad. Really interesting architecture and very nicely laid out. Our room was a good size with a large shower room. Lovely shampoo and shower gel. The room (no 2) was on the ground floor and we had the patio and pool right outside our door. The pool was very refreshing after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast on the terrace was really good. A lot of choice and always served with a smile! Dinner at the main Riad Karmela was excellent, very reasonable and super tasty. I won't name names in case I forget someone but the whole Riad Zineb team deserve a huge thank you for looking after us so well.
Sarah and Lorna Nothing to dislike but a mini fridge would be great. Also more mature and less able travellers be aware there are a lot of steps to the terrace and they are quite steep. I am well into my 70s and did manage them……slowly!

Camere davvero belle e confortevoli.
- Cintia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wayne (8/5): Great location/staff breakfast options could be better - Quiet and good location The breakfast could have had more options for the price
- Ramera (10/5): Exceptional -
- Myra (10/5): - Great place to stay. Very safe, great neighborhood, lovely breakfast buffet by the pool. They met us where the taxi dropped us off to facilitate our arrival and then we figured it out. This is one of at least a suite of three riads run under one business with Riad Kamala being the primary,
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christa (10/5): The staff were the best! So friendly, helpful and kind - thank you so much! - It was gorgeous with so many facilities. Rooms were cleaned daily, and the breakfast spread was fantastic. So comfortable and relaxing.
Super! Tack för en oförglömlig vistelse från 4 ladies.
- Sidrah (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were so lovely and accommodating the rooms themselves were stunning! On arrival we were welcomed with Moroccan Tea and biscuits and were give a map and information about places of interest and the best ways to get there. The location was just so convenient. We had a late flights and they were able to accommodate a late check-in out. I look forward to returning soon. Na
- Motaz (10/5): Beautiful place to stay, remind us of history and culture, very accommodating friendly staff and pleasant. - Very nice authentic, clean and comfortable, on suite are very good. Good service. Nothing much to like, not sure if location needs a bit a walk for people who have mobility difficulties.
- Zoe (10/5): My stay at Riad Zineb was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the char -
- Rachel (10/5): - We actually ended up staying at Riad Karmela, a sister hotel next door. The family room was spacious for 4, with 3 beds. Staff couldn’t do enough to help us, the common areas were beautiful and the whole place was a real retreat after the hustle and bustle of the medina just outside. Easily walkable to everything and good value for money. Highly recommend.
- Rossana (10/5): Stunning haven, with beautiful details and gorgeous staff who went out of their way to help. - Beautiful, authentic Riad in the heart of the Medina It was a little hard to find the first day but we soon found our bearings
- Jeremy (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights stay and recommend this property for an 'old-town (medina) experienc - Lovely staff in this Riad.
Good breakfast. Check-in was disorgarnzed and unclear process.
Swimming pool was very cold!!
- Napier (10/5): We loved the buzz of Marrakech and it was amazing to come back to Zineb for peace and quiet. - I loved everything about it. The staff were exceptionally helpful, dinner at Karmela delicious and breakfast at Zineb excellent with so much choice and nice to sit up on the roof terrace. Bedroom we had was incredible, big and comfortable. And most of all, the place was so quiet that you wouldn't believe you were in Marrakech. Nothing could have been improved as far as I was concerned.
- Peter (10/5): - Very helpful and hospitable staff. Brilliantly placed for the souks. Once inside the property, a quiet and calm atmosphere in complete contrast to the hustle and bustle of the area.
- Mark (9/5): Wonderful. - Staff, particularly Doha.
- Rhett (10/5): Traditional riad experience in the heart of the old medina. All very good. - The location put us steps from the action. The airport transfer services were seamless. The breakfasts were excellent. The bed was a bit hard and the covers were not sized right.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Oasis in the madness - A lovely hotel in the middle of the Medina madness. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Nothing too much trouble. Their driver picked us up from the airport and walked us to the Riad. No way we would have found it otherwise!!
The rooms were traditional, which meant quite dark, but I was able to sit outside to do make up. The beds are extremely hard, but they found be an extra duvet to lie on, which was better. The pool is amazing. Small but wonderful to cool off in.
- mark (10/5): - A great sanctuary from the heat and medina madness.
- Elizabeth (6/5): A quiet and authentic Riad in a great location but it felt a little neglected. - The riad was very authentic and pretty. I liked the pool, the courtyard with beautiful orange trees and the roof terrace. It was very quiet and a lovely oasis from the chaotic medina. The location was good as it was quick and easy to get to everything. The staff were helpful and not intrusive. Price was good value compared to other riads in the area. The staff at Riad Karmela which is the sister hotel were very helpful and this was a lovely place to have dinner. The hotel was a little too quiet and it almost felt like staying in self catering apartment. There was no permanent staff on hand to ask questions etc. The room was pretty but not that comfortable, the door didn't shut properly so there was a big gap at night - it was fine when we went out as locked via a padlock. The bathroom window didn't shut properly so we were using the bathroom whilst people were outside our window having breakfast! Bare bulbs in the bedside alcoves didn't look very nice and were extremely bright! The roof terrace could be gorgeous but the furniture smelt of cat urine and was covered in cat fur - I love cats but this was a bit off-putting.
- Christopher (10/5): Calm, friendly, stylish accommodation with friendly obliging staff - An exquisitely decorated calm oasis in the centre of action
- Sajid (9/5): It was a beautiful experience that will hold a special place in my heart for years to come. - The location was absolutely perfect!
Close walking distance to the Souk Market and the main square. Staff at the main reception(Riad Karmela) is one minute walk from the Zineb and are always available. Pre booking TokTok is easy and convenient from the Karmela main desk. Ability to change or get Dirhams on site is worth everything, bank machines are limited in square, often run out of money and there are huge lines…this was a top tier benefit.
We are a family of 5, so we were staying in our own little apartment with a large bathroom, a room with two twin beds and another larger room with a king bed and another twin. It was perfect. At the Zineb we were looked after by two exceptional young individuals Doha and Omar; their warmth and caring for us was second to none, they spent time with us, making sure we were always looked after, they are beautiful souls and I wish them well always. Nothing,
- Shiran (6/5): Alright - The old charm, spacious room, really friendly and helpful staff who even made reservations for us at other restaurants and booked our tickets to jardin Majorelle. Really delicious food. Beautiful inside the riad and very quiet It’s situated right in the Medina so getting there is either by a tuk or walking. No vehicles. We have to leave taxi further away and walk. We were a bit surprised about the Medina location, it’s very busy and streets dirty etc, so not your typical resort type environment. You will need to expect to be in a very local very central area. But it’s an experience.
Breakfast options could have been better.
We booked a whole week here but opted to reduce our stay as we wanted to stay outside the Medina for a few days, they agreed for a refund which was good, but I did find the reception staff a bit rude when we mentioned we wanted to cut short our stay.
If you are booking consider Karmela or princess , we stayed at zineb and it was a bit isolated in that the reception was actually at riad karmela, zineb was another building and at the end of a street.
- Asma (8/5): - Pretty quiet when we stayed so we had to have breakfast at the sister riad (riad kermela). The breakfast was very good with great choice and made to order eggs.
Was a bit confusing on arrival to find the riad and we weren’t told to check in at kermela. That would have been helpful. Otherwise the room was great and staff friendly.
- Ryna (10/5): - Our family of 4 had the most amazing time at Riad Zineb. This riad felt like our own oasis and as though we were coming home. The friendly staff go above and beyond to look after you. There are only 8 rooms at this riad and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Rooms are adequately sized and large bottled water is refilled daily. Breakfast is held on the rooftop and choices include pastries, eggs, cereal, some meats and juices, although a little limited, was sufficient for our family. Mint tea is delicious here.
It is a bit of a maze to get to the riad however once you have your bearings, (we used the local mosque as our reference point) it is easy enough to find after walking around the medina. We arranged for airport transfers and i would recommend this as you will find it very difficult to locate the riad on your own. Taxi can only take you to to the local square which is still a walk away from riad. We also booked a hammam service which is reasonably priced. Overall a very memorable stay in Marrakech.
- Silvia (10/5): Exceeded our expectations - The riad was amazing - huge and beautiful room, always clean, access to both swimming pool and jacuzzi which is great when there are 40 degrees outside. But what really made the difference is the staff, they were all so polite, friendly and helpful. Fatima, Amine, and Aymen, you guys are amazing!
- Natasha (9/5): Beautiful hotel, lovely facilities and very friendly, helpful staff - The hotel was an quiet oasis in the middle of the bustling medina district of Morocco. On Booking.com it states check-in is from 07:00 but the hotel said check-ins are from 12:30.
It wasn’t explained to us when we arrived that the evening meals are served in a nearby hotel that is part of the chain.
- Galina (10/5): The best place to stay in Morocco - Greta location, excellent property , amazing stuff!
- Tracey (10/5): Everything we could have hoped for and more. - Location was perfect, easily walked to everywhere we needed. Shop owners always happy to help if we got lost. The Riad was a calm and beautiful oasis where you would ALWAYS get a great welcome and any help you needed. The sound of birds and beautiful plants and trees, plus a couple of little tortoises! Treatments were a bonus as I hadn't realised they did those as well. Also though we planned to eat out in the Medina most days, after a day travelling we really enjoyed our relaxed evening on the roof terrace with a musician and delicious tagine, would do that more next time.
As I said I liked everything. Nothing
- Nicola (8/5): Very good - beautiful courtyards and rooms. welcoming helpful staff. near main medina. Meals expensive

It has a wonderful designed backyard with a pool and a big Rooftop, with cozy sunbeds for tanning.
We booked with breakfast and were delighted by the many fresh fruits and Moroccan baking specialties. Very very tasty!
Also the waiters were very friendly and courteous.
Our room was also facing the courtyard, as is common in riads. Very clean with traditional furnishings.
We especially liked that we could feel very safe thanks to Hamza the security and he was also always there for us when we had questions. Thank you very much! nichts
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Srikanth (8/5): highly recommended - very traditional nothing
- Mohammad (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the place. Kids loved the place too.
All staffs were great. We had a very late check-in around 12.30 am and they kept very warm dinner for us. Fantastic location, facilities. It was a great stay. Keep going. Nothing
- Oliver (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): Excellent riad in the heart of the old medina - The whole experience of staying at this group of riads (Karmela, Princess Karmela and Zineb) was excellent from start to finish. The welcome was lovely with mint tea and biscuits offered to me on arrival, the late night dinner the chef made for me despite my arrival after serving hours, the beautiful decor of the riads and the unique features of each of them, the friendly staff and their good humour. Everyone had time to chat to us and offer suggestions for what to see and do in Marrakech. If you want to experience living in the old medina, down winding souks where cats lounge around, small shops entice you with their wares, and Marrakech citizens go about their daily business, this is the place for you. It is tricky to find if you are completely new to the city but if you arrange a taxi transfer through the riad the driver will drop you off in a nearby square and someone from the riad will meet you and take you the short walk to the entrance.
Just to add, I was quite a complicated guest, as I had family arriving to join me on different days and many food/taxi/room requests but the staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much effort for them. A special mention to Joel and Amine who deducted the cost of one night for me because some family members arrived a day late, many thank you guys! Nothing at all! I just wish I had more time in Marrakech to use the hammam in Riad Princess Karmela and enjoy the roof top in Riad Zineb. Next time!
- Joanne (8/5): The staff were excellent and went out of their way to make you feel safe and comfortable. I loved Marrakesh and look for - The riad was very nicely decorated, and the sun terrace for breakfast was very welcoming. The pathway to riad Zineb, is a little narrow and could do with some better signage as Marrakesh is really like a labyrinth of streets.
- Pablo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Rooms quite traditional in style and large. Clean but not sparkly clean
- Chantal (10/5): - I asked the Riad for a lift from the airport and this was well organized and a must as Riad is in the Médina and one gets easily lost the first time and it saves you endless bargains with taxi at airport.
The Riad is really very nice, sparkling clean and the staff makes you feel at home the minute you enter. It is located in a charming traditional and safe area of the Médina, close to many interesting places.
The continental breakfast was nice too. Any time I had a question and needed some infirmation, I got the answer at once. I hesitated booking the place and definitely have no regret and will go back. Great place to stay, good value for money.
The owner, a French guy is also keeping an eye on guests to make sure they have all they need and I could even visit his other places. I such I had more time.
- Meriem (2/5): - Firdt of all, this Riad is extremely isolated and situated in a terrible area of Al Medina where it is impossible even to walk. The owner is French and he was very rude to me. The Riad was dirty. The seating area, the linen, the carpets full of stains. The morrocan staff is very nice and scared of the owner. Two of them agreed with me about the state of the Riad. I spoke to them in Arabic and the apologiesed yo le several time lis while the arrogant and incompetent French owner remained in his office. It was a terrible experience. I had to find a place where to stay with my mother who is 80 and my sister. I went to the police of tourism who is very very efficient and I told them my experience and they are taking this matter seriously. This Riad will i hope close and the owner will no longer be able to lie about facilities which don’t exist on his property. Further more, Expedia should not recommend it travellers. Everything which was said about it was false and inaccurate and not cheap.
The police of tourism is keeping lecousted about what is happening and I will do all my best to close that awfull Riad.
- Charlotte (8/5): Beautiful Riad - Lovely, accommodating Riad. Well located for the chaos of the medina, providing a peaceful retreat. Lovely, comfortable room and good breakfast. Efficient arranging collection and transfer. Friendly staff. Plumbing slightly Marrakech style, but all worked and hot water. Good for families wanting to be central. Would definitely return.
- Guilson Carlo (10/5): One of the best in the medina area! - One of the best riads in the medina! They have a number of riads so they know what they're doing! Amazing service!
- ruth (10/5): Perfect! - Gorgeous riad, helpful staff, lovely room, delightful pool, my children and I loved every second of our stay.
- LouLou (10/5): Lovely, comfortable riad in centre of Marrakech - Riad Zineb was a lovely place to stay in Marrakech. It is located approximately 5 minutes from the souks that are frequented by tourist and locals alike. This is a new addition to the portfolio run by the team and in its infancy. The team at Riad Zineb (Mohammed) and its sister Riad nearby are welcoming, friendly and helpful offering advice on local restaurants for all budgets, prices that 'should' be paid when bartering in the souks, getting a taxi etc. Our room was on the ground floor (courtyard room), it was cleaned thoroughly everyday, comfy bed and the shower was steaming hot. As breakfast is served in the courtyard between 8am and 10am there is some noise but this really wasn't intrusive. The breakfast were plentiful - pastries, cheeses, honey, jams and bread, cold meats, yoghurt and fruit. It was cold and rainy for the first few days and heaters were in the courtyard and there was a fire lit in evenings in the lounge area. There was a roof terrace that was a great place to chill in the sunshine and beer and wine are available. All in all a great place to stay and a big thank you to Mohammed who worked during the evenings, he is full of useful information and took a lot of time to ensure our stay was a lovely one.
