Guest Reviews
- Wiktoria Jakubek (8/5): -
- Bernie (8/5): Nice room … Great breakfast - Lovely location Location
- Lars (8/5): - Veldig hyggelig personale ved frokosten. Renholdet kunne vært bedre. Personalet i resepsjonen virket lite oppmerksom. Heisen fungerte ikke. Svært mye lyd fra havet/bølger. Lyddempende vinduer hadde vært en ide? Vinduene var umulige å åpne.
- Mark (9/5): Another wonderful stay here everything was great 😊 -
- MARK (7/5): - good breakfast, great location, nice staff, good value for money no parking
- Tom (8/5): -

- christine (8/5): - Staff were very pleasant. Excellent sea view right across the road from hotel. Lift was out of order and our room was on third floor. Sixty steps including front door steps.
- Julia (8/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): -
- Brett (10/5): - Superb location
- David (3/5): - Nothing to prices Nothing
- Stephen (3/5): Overpriced for what it is. Dated and shabby. - The location is good, it’s right near the top of the promenade in Aberystwyth. The whole property is in need of a refresh. The rooms are very old fashioned and not clean. Out of the three bedside lamps only one had a working bulb in it. Small details make a difference and all were missed by the staff here. Would not stay again. The lady on reception as we were leaving was reading out loud another bad review for all to hear. Very unprofessional when guests are around.
- Kathryn (8/5): Based on my personal experience - The bed had a superb mattress, slept wonderfully. Towels and bedsheets extremely white and clean. breakfast was superb; excellent choices, eggs cooked fresh, quality produce. Staff during breakfast were a delight. Really friendly, making you feel comfortable. Shame some towels you could tell were past their best and could do with replacing. The stairs! Typical old style hotel though so only to be expected. There were lots of little things that needed addressing but it was clean, tidy and comfortable stay.
- Elizabeth (5/5): - No lift,67 steps from bedroom to dining toom.
- Sarah (10/5): Great location, great staff ! - Staff were really friendly and lovely , beds and pillows so comfy. Breakfast was tasty . Was really happy with the the hotel and will stay again ! Bathrooms slightly outdated but didn’t effect anything.
- Sara (6/5): Lovley views - Breakfast was nice Not very clean
- Revans (7/5): Aberystwyth is fab! - Location is excellent. The temperature control on our shower was not working.
- Carolyn (8/5): Queensbridge Hotel, Aberystwyth. - Our room on the third floor was clean and tidy. We Had a beautiful sea view. There were plenty of teas and coffee sachets and milk too. Mugs were clean.
The staff were excellent even the ladies and gentleman on breakfast dut
y.cooked Breakfasts were delicious. Plenty of cereals , juices and yogurts. The lift wasn't working. We were on the third floor.
There were a few issues with our room.
1. Other people's clothes left in the draw.
2. Curtain lining was ripped.
3. 1 window was taped up.
4. Other window opened but it was rusty.
5. 1 of the draws was broken.
6. Headboard was lop-sided
7. Couldn't really see TV as Curtain in the way.
8. Light above sink in bathroom didn't work.
9. Ceiling paper was coming off in 2 places.
10. Room needs updating.
11. Breakfast room had a baby grow on the floor both days we had been in for breakfast.
- marianne (7/5): I did have an enjoyable stay - The location was good. Nice to be on the sea front. Unfortunately the lift was not working and there were a lot of stairs to the 3rd floor.
- Paul (10/5): Excellent value, location and staff - From a great welcome, excellent room very clean and a magnificent view to a great breakfast and all staff we encountered were very friendly
- Janet (6/5): Otherwise lovely staff and breakfast very conveniently situated the funeral i was attending - Great location friendly staff good breakfast Lift broken and I was on the top floor .
After a 6 hour drive i did not get the room with bathroom and my room shower was not working at all . Owner said too bad !! I can shower tomorrow . Staff moved me to a room with lovely bathroom the next day . Lounge bar closed at 9 .
- craig (8/5): Great sea view. Not far from the beach either - Breakfast was great
- ALAN (6/5): An enjoyable stay, with nice friendly staff. However, tired building needs updating. - On the seafront, easy walking access to town. Excellent breakfast with a very good, friendly service. We are both in our seventies and we were on the 4th Floor and the lift was not working (again!!). The room was very hot on the day of our arrival and we were provided with an additional fan, plus we could open the Velux window. Nowadays, air con is a must.
- Anne-Marie (8/5): Excellent value for money! - Friendly, helpful staff & the cleanest whitest sheets in Aberystwyth! Nothing
- Aliisa (6/5): - Very good English breakfast, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in. Located just by the sea, beautiful scenery and easy to take a morning swim or test the nearby sauna if you'd like. Very close to the cliff railway and the starting point of the beautiful coast path towards Borth. Conveniently quieter location a bit further from the city centre but still easily walkable from the railway station. The facilities were not that modern and would need some maintenance. A particular issue was that the room was uncomfortably hot because the radiator was set at maximum temperature, and not possible to adjust because the adjustment knob was completely detached, lying on the floor. There was no window, only a door to an outside patio that could not be kept open securely at night to cool the room down. Hence lower rating. I might have just been unlucky though.
Also the building is so close to the cliff that there was no mobile service at all in the room.
- Tom (8/5): Aberystwyth short visit. - Staff were very welcoming, clean room and good bathroom. Breakfast was buffet style with everything that you would want. Good view of the sea from the lounge and outside patio area. Parking is a problem, no parking available at the hotel you need to wait until a parking space becomes available near the hotel and soon be on a parking meter. Breakfast is very good but hot food needs to be kept hotter. I would suggest that you take what you want on a plate to be heated in the microwave.
- Griffith (7/5): -
- ELAINE (5/5): No one staying in hotel but put on 2nd floor with no lift. - Good location
Good breakfast No notification about the lift not working when booking hotel. Wasn’t informed only street parking
With restrictions. That it was situated in an area with student accommodation. Very noisy at night. If you book a sea room the views are good,
- Chris (8/5): - The lady at breakfast was lovely ,she hknestly couldnt do enough for you We had noise through the night with drunk students etc ,doors slamming and shouting but apart from that location is spot on
- Peter (8/5): -
- wester (10/5): absolutely amazing - the room was very tidy and neatly set up for me, bed was really comfortable the distance but thats all
- Victoria (10/5): - Such great staff, friendly and helpful. Nothing at all to complain about .
- Alison (10/5): - Sea view from our window
- patrice (8/5): - Le lieu
- Jessica (9/5): Comfortable - Beds super comfy, location, apps on tv, staff very welcoming Can hear people walking around upstairs
- Sameer Al Abri (7/5): -
- Lee (8/5): -
- ingrid ivy (5/5): One night stay is ok - The location. Beach front. Walkable to sights The hotel is a bit run down. Clean sheets and towels but room not clean. Dusty everywhere. Mouldy tiles in the shower.
- Lee (8/5): -
- karen (8/5): -
- Michael (10/5): - Staff and location.
- John (7/5): We had a pleasant stay. Room was clean. Had everything we needed. Close to the university and a lovely breakfast include - Conveniently located for the University. Very clean. Staff friendly A little dated. Windows drafty.
- Jijo (1/5): The service was good, but the room window was broken, and as a result, we all became sick. - The sea view was stunning, the room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was amazing. The main window in the room was broken, which meant none of us could sleep properly as cold air came in throughout the night. If you are assigned Room 1, please check that the window closes fully, or you may end up getting sick as I did.
- Varinder (7/5): -
- Guevarra (6/5): -
- Tracey (9/5): Would definitely stay again - The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Marida, Mike and the lovely ladies at the breakfast buffet Nothing
- Kate (6/5): It did the job for a good price just disappointed no sea view despite being on the sea front and having to climb 69 step - The tv had free view, Netflix and Disney
The breakfast was nice.
The staff were really lovely especially the lady that served breakfast.
The room was clean, the bedding was clean.
Liked the kettle with tea and coffee. Mattress was very hard.
Door to the bathroom didn't shut properly so this compromised privacy.
The lift didn't work and we were on the op floor which was 69 steps up!
Didn't have a sea view.
- Shania (8/5): The breakfast is banging, the room is nice but disappointed about the scaffolding and the staff are nice. - The room itself was a really nice room. We were on the ground floor next to the reception. I liked the wall mirror with the chair in the corner. Lovely view outside the doors.
The breakfast was like a buffet but they do the toast and eggs fresh for you. Lots of selection like fruit and cereals, honey etc…. Jugs or orange juice and apple juice, they offer coffee but the coffee is not the best.
The breakfast was pretty banging to be fair. I really like the whole buffet. The eggs were fresh farm eggs and they were really nice.
The staff were polite and very nice. I would definitely stay here again. We were very disappointed we couldn’t go out onto the balcony through the glass doors in our room due to scaffolding, the coffee wasn’t the nicest of coffees and I noticed a bit of dust on the bath so I gave the bath a bit of a clean before using it but apart from that it was clean in the room itself. The bed was 2 singles pushed together with a blanket tucked in making it work as one so had to get a blanket from the spare bed so we could sleep next to each other. It was a bit deceiving as I thought it was a double bed. The hair drier is attached to the wall, not a problem but my problem was I had to hold in the button the whole time and I have very long hair that takes a while to dry.
- Mark (10/5): Fantastic - Great location and will be back
- Jonathan (9/5): -
- Angus (8/5): -
- Peter (7/5): Good as usual apart from the shower - Having stayed there a few times now always enjoy & the breakfasts are great. Unfortunately the shower unit was completely dead when I went to use it in the morning. Not the end of the world but a bit annoying. Reported to reception when checking out
- Maciuleviciute (1/5): I would not recommend to anyone to stay in this hotel. - The location was okay. I have specifically paid for a room I chose on the booking page but i received different room at the very top floor. The lift was tiny, sketchy and we was scared to use it.
The service was so bad, I would leave zero stars. I had to waited 15mins for toast. And the lady brought two halfs of bread for two of us… and was crying’sorry sorry’. I am vegetarian and there was nearly nothing on the menu I could eat. The toast was cold and stale, the other tables had better service and had the food delivered fast. After this bad experience me and my kid left the hotel. Please avoid this hotel if you do not want to be disappointed.
- Billy hewitt236 (3/5): -
- Street (1/5): - We were booked in for one night, friends arrived before us and said no way coukd we sleep there, it had wall paper coming off the walls and no way was suitable
- Tracie (1/5): - Nothing were the pictures were taken not sure it looked like a total different hotel Nothing room was more then basic the room was very dated and not clean not worth 94 pounds that we paid
- Lucy (10/5): -
- McGuinness (10/5): -
- John (8/5): Overnight Stay - Staff are friendly and helpful. In a good location. Comfortable and clean. Parking locally can sometimes be difficult.
- Mikey (7/5): -
- Ashley (7/5): -
- Annie (10/5): An excellent place to stay. Comfortable clean and friendly. - Friendly and comfortable hotel lovely team and great breakfast Nothing
- Clifford (9/5): -
- Mark (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here 😁 -
- Sarah (8/5): Perfect for a short overnight stay. - Location. Breakfast. On suite. Confirtable beds N/A
- Gary (8/5): -
- Elizabeth (9/5): - As above Parking could be difficult and lounge locked in the evening
- knott (8/5): - It wasn't to far from the centre of town. Quiet area staff were friendly. Only thing I did pick up on was there was a lot of dust in the room.
- Jean (9/5): Just what we wanted - Friendly Missing lightbulbs
Lift not working
- Ryan (5/5): Great hotel and good price - Love the layout of the building The room wasn't quite as good as the last two times I'd stayed there. Wet towel in the sink upon arrival and no sea view but it was good overall.
- Davies (6/5): - Look over Seaview , room ok Door banging middle night , people talking loud in rooms ,
- LYNDA (8/5): Very good value for money, very friendly staff. - Made to feel welcome by the staff. Very good, friendly service - particularly at breakfast time. Building needs a “freshening up”.
- Helen (7/5): -

- Brian (10/5): - The breakfast was perfect It was all better than acceptable
- Nicholas (9/5): -
- Callum (7/5): Lovely, cheap, and comfortable - Comfy beds, nice breakfast, ease of use and doors being kept open. Very cheap price for a quick stay and friendly staff Maybe a bit outdated and floorboards very creaky was worried about disturbing other guests.
