- Pamela Anne (8/5): I’ll be making doubly sure there are no hidden costs booking next time - The property was fine, but got charged $45 a night for parking which I didn’t see there was an extra charges for this when I made our booking. My husband stayed another night ( as I wasn’t well - in hospital - being operated on) and that extra night cost him $400 plus another $45 for parking. Issues as above

- Saimone (8/5): Handy hotel close to local hospitals - The location and facilities were great, although my time there was very limited and I was unable to enjoy them all. On check-in, I gave the staff member my car registration number and paid $45 for parking however our details were not entered in the system and on leaving the car park, we had to pay $60 to exit. We were refunded $45 only and not the full $60 we had to pay to leave the car park.

Our luggage was kept until check-in On the evening of the check-in day, we didn't put up the sign regarding cleaning for the next day and overslept. The cleaning lady banged on the door at 10 am, banging as if there was an emergency and an evacuation. She woke us up, she did this with less force but also in the afternoon.

The 2nd bed was too uncomfortable for my 15year old who is very tall. We also did not realise that during the weekends resturants are very limited but that was our research fault.

- Ronald (8/5): Wont stay with the Vibe group due to price gouging policy - We extended our stay based on flight cancellations for our trip home to the UK via Abu Dhabi. We had to change rooms although the layout of both rooms was identical and good. Given that we were forced to stay in Sydney for 4 days longer than we planned, the situation was difficult for lots of people with the same cflight cancellation problems. We did not like or appreciate that the hotel charged us almost double the room rate for extending the stay.

Cafes and restaurants all close by with a short walk to the Metro. Staff were really nice and helpful. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work and so everything got wet also the cleaners hadnt cleaned the coffee pod machine after the previous guests had put milk through it instead of water which wasn’t pleasant.. a fresh tea towel would also have been helpful.

It was very spacious and clean. Very close to restaurants, take away places, a Woolworths metro store and the Charles Sturt Uni building. I was a confused for a minute upon arrival until I figured out which level the reception was on. Also bumped into some older people in the elevator who were looking for reception too. A clearer, larger sign might be beneficial to all

- Christine (9/5): I have stayed at other North Sydney hotels but would return to the Vibe. - It is the little things that make a difference: 2 towels rails positioned so that towels could actually dry; power points and charging areas above the bedside table rather on the ground or the other side of the room ; excellent lighting; storage space for hanging and shelves, not just a few hooks on a wall and a useless beside drawer; a comfortable chair with footrest. I still find the fashion of open shower areas annoying as water goes everywhere. I would have liked some biscuits to have with my tea. Both of these are small things. Theparking was a very long way down and would have been hard in a large car. Overall the room was very comfortable.

- Luana (7/5): - Great location, friendly staff. Construction noise was extremely loud at 6.30am and no prior warning. Was like waking up to an earthquake. Also waiting four days for a receipt is frustrating. Service could be improved we.
