- Seshne (10/5): Amazing - This property exceeded my expectations,
- MONARE (10/5): I enjoyed my stay - The apartment is clean and not far from V&A
- Shirna (8/5): - It is in a superb location, easy access to move around the city. The room was extra spacious and clean. Waited quite a while (almost an hour) for someone to assist and bring us the keys. The host was not answering calls or messages when we were checking in. There was construction happening at the building next door, while I understand it was beyond the hosts control - I do feel it should have been shared beforehand.
- Debby (10/5): Luxury apartment living at its best - This apartment is located very central and close to a variety of amenities such as the rugby stadium, parkrun, waterfront. I expected to have a balcony, but there wasn't really a balcony. The photo's on advertising might be a bit misleading.
- Bianca (7/5): Overall a lovely spot suitable for a single person or couple without kids. - Location was great in a lovely building. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was great, great to have a washing machine / dryer in the apartment. Staff working at the Cape Royale were very friendly. The sleeper couch was not at all comfortable or suitable for our kids.
- Chanleigh (1/5): - False advertising
- David (8/5): Wonderful location and sunny apartment with all amenities. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Apartment needs a littl - Wonderful open windows and spacious apartment The fixtures need a little refresh
- Cheree (10/5): -
- Kim (7/5): - Very convenient location. Spacious. Clean and tidy.
- Rene (10/5): Overall it was a good deal. - Location is great. It is close to V&A as well as other amenities you may require. My parking spot was given to another guest and the hotel staff/host was unable to rectify the problem. The parking that I was alocated was too small and caused an inconvenience.
- Vrigesh (10/5): -
- Judy (10/5): Our stay was comfortable. The unit was clean. Everything was within walking distance. - The location was perfect. We wanted to be close to the stadium. Everything was in walking distance
- Lerato (10/5): Out of this world for the price tag - Nothing, the place is perfect
- Trishana (9/5): Cape Town Break - Great location, secure apartment. I would definitely stay here again. The construction noises around building.
- Abdalla (8/5): It was good - Location An unannounced building site immediately next to the apartment
- Shalom (6/5): - Excellent location. Apartment was secure and beautiful. The staff that checked me in, Valery, was friendly and considerate. The Aircon was not working, and there was no provision for an alternative heater. Given how cold Cape Town gets, the environment was not conducive. There is a refundable R2,000 that you have to pay when you are checking in. It would be necessary to state this upfront. Let alone that if you pay using card, you will get the refund after 10 days unless if its cash, then you get it when checking out. This was abit inconveniencing for me.
- David (8/5): - Great location Security officials
- Shannon (9/5): Nice comfy stay! - Good location, comfy bed! Staff were friendly.

- Gh (1/5): A/C not working no bedding for sleeper coach doors are stuck and struggle to open! -
- Lood (4/5): Unimpressed - The staff and the free parking was nice. The flat also was very well equipped. Tha flat is bigger than most. The whole floor of the hotel stank of weed. The flat is old chips on paint everywhere, mold in the seems in the bathroom and selves falling of the fanity in the bathroom, things that you don't expect at a 5 star rated room. The couch was extremely uncomfortable impossible to sit and enjoy the TV. The fridge did not work and made a strange noise. Seeing as we only stayed the one night didn't seem worth to raise the concerns with the staff. All in all very over priced for an apart hotel room that is way past it's prime and needs to have a proper make over.
- Kuschke (9/5): Fantastic and was totally amazed by the beauty. - The fact that the apartment had everything you could think of.
- Emmaline (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pavlou (8/5): Very good -
- Frans (9/5): Comfortabel unit - Grate location could walk to restaurants
Safe basement parking
Comfortable unit with everything you need Little views, look into other apartments
- Paul (5/5): Average experience. Apartment is in a good location but not a well loved apartment. - Good security at apartment complex, convenient shops in the location of the apartment, kitchen is well stocked with all the cutlers and utensils that you would need. Apartment is not in a good state of repair (bulbs not working, cheap fixtures throughout-sofa is cheap and uncomfortable, electricity was cut off during stay as meter was not topped up, smell of cheap air fresheners throughout the property which it was difficult to get rid of). There was no manual to tell you which shops etc were close by. Only one key and fob provided even though the apartment was occupied by two persons.

- Karen (8/5): Everything was lovely but would avoid going back due to the agency reception and lack of etiquette - The place was lovely open spacious and balcony's for fresh air. It is ideally situated and we decided to take a walk to VA Waterfront and it was safe. Many resaturates below the apartment which made for ease of choice of cuisine. Staff on premises of apartment were extremely friendly. The agency who contacted me were rude (even put the phone down on me - if it is a recording pls check), only allowing to enter after 3pm which most places is 2pm. So did site seeing and only got there after 4pm. Was told to pay a deposit for breakages but no invoice was given nor a list of items I was signing for with regards to breakage. Very unprofessional and owners need to relook the company running this for them. When it came leaving I gave a time as they requested, between 8h30 and 8h45 and still no-one arrived so we left, after loading the car with our luggage and only then after handing the keys at reception was told that Primrose was on her way.
- Des (7/5): A lovely apartment but poor management. - The old style charm and spaciousness The reception and assistance was poor. No air conditioning. The place was cold. A gas heater brought was scary.
- Alison (7/5): Worked for what I needed - No breakfast. Location good. R2000 deposit unneccessary
- Moodley (7/5): Good location, flat had all necessary utensils. - Apartment was in good location. Hot & cold water in shower was difficult to balance. Did not have netflix and showmax. Would have preferred to have a safe in apartment. Would have liked the bin to be cleaned out daily.
- Joel (9/5): Superb -
- Fredelene (5/5): It was ok- but could have been better - It was cost effective The bedding was worn out - aged - did not look and feel appealing . The pillows were also worn out . The curtains appeared worn out and a bit dirty .
Right outside the bedroom window a building is being demolished so lots of noise and dust as a result the windows of unit 414 was very dirty.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Craig (7/5): Great stay! - The room was great, the staff were excellent! There is a gap somewhere between the balcony doors in the bedroom, and with the wind, it was a very loud weekend. At one point in the middle of the night we wondered if the doors would burst open. I would fix that, if only to banish doubts.
- Ann (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sibongile (10/5): Good - It’s convenient You have to pay for cleaning and change of linen
- Angelo (6/5): Pleasant - Nice space. Room looks tired. Linen was old and torn. Room needs tlc
- Cathy (8/5): Very good -
- Tinus (8/5): Very good -
- Tinus (9/5): Superb -
- Ondella (5/5): It was uncomfortable!!! - There was nothing to like about the apartment.
I have stayed at Cape Royale other apartments before and I liked every minute of my stay… but apartment 414… day light robbery on the money I spent. The furniture and linen is old … the couch is uncomfortable old… The bed is too small for 2 people.. It’s a kiddies double bed if there is such .. I wasn’t impressed at all. The bedding linen used to be white .. duvet cover has those small round bolts that make the linen feel like rough salt. The pillows are also history…they are flat and old …
The dining chairs, you can’t seat without a pillow to support you.
That apartment needs a furniture refresh , even the door was difficult to lock … it’s definitely not value for money … It’s soo uncomfortable!!!
- Anne (5/5): Perfect location for the waterfront. - Location was perfect for our needs.
Kitchen had everything we needed.
It was adequate to our needs.
Plenty of restaurants and cafes right next door.
Woolworths for groceries etc very close by. Bed linen was very poor. Sheets were of poor quality and old. Parts of them had holes.
I had to buy a Duvet as the one supplied was absolutely atrocious and old. Found this out when we had to change the linen to wash as we had a spillage.
You need to update the linen. I gave the new duvet to our taxi driver who took us to the airport.
Comfort of the couch was poor. So never sat on it
The apartment could do with minor maintenance.
You received a low score because of the poor quality linen. Especially as we were there for 19 nights.
- Devan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Location
- Pinkie (10/5): Mrs Pinkie Mchunu - Most of the things were superb, the property is exquisite, they have to improve ,facilities, there was no TV guide it took us 2 days to watch TV, The remote were not working some have no battery 🔋, the one has expired early while we were still there. No body clean up you clean up yourself. If they have a cleaner at leat after 2 days for thorough cleaning..Cause we didn't have ti.e for that so may places to visit and Capetown has vibrant. People are friendly. and helpful. We really enjoyed
It was awesome. The property itself good security tight, and security are friendly..The managers takes ti.e to respond. But we enjoyed.I think it is going to be our second home thank you for choosing Cape Royale for us..
- Antonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerhard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Efua (5/5): Passable - The location was great, a walk away from the V&A. We were met by the team on arrival. Upon arrival there was a R2,000 cash deposit requested from me which was not communicated prior to arrival, to my surprise. It is slightly unsettling as a female to arrive to such a request in cash which made me feel a little unsafe regarding the hosts.
If a deposit is required it surely must be requested through the booking.com app so there is at least a record to the payment should there be any disputes.
- Zoyab (10/5): Exceptional - Location
- Colleen (7/5): Not a good experience - Clean and spacious They didn’t have my booking even though I phoned before arriving to check all was in order. The communication and staff were very unprofessional in handling the situation.
- Denver (5/5): Dissapointing - None provided The unit looked "tired' and over-used. They did not appear ready for us. No coffee in the apartment and insufficient bedding and pillows. We travelled as a family with 2 small kids and it did not meet all our needs.
- Jane (10/5): Terrific stay in Luxurious apartment - Beautiful property with friendly helpful staff, convenient location. Nothing not to like
- Sulaimaan (6/5): Average - Location and space Bed is bad
Couch is finished
No cleaning service included
Knives are broken
- Lehabe (9/5): Home away from home - Location All was well
- Bjorn (9/5): Happy - Great location. All good The smell in the bottom floor getting into the lift. Horrible smell but nothing to do with the apartment. Very cold swimming pool.
- Bridgette (10/5): Exceptional - I didn't know that breakfast was included. Was it?
We didn't eat breakfast there
- Neresha (5/5): Passable -
- Mouton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lizette (8/5): Very good -
- Khanyi (8/5): Very good and fulfilling - No breakfast. I enjoyed my stay, home away from home. Very relaxing and quiet Extra bedding to change incase of accidents and towels.
- Stan (9/5): Superb - Was not available
- Charl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (8/5): Very good - the location, the restaurants below, the security only complaint would be the bed, quality of the pillows and duvet
- Elaine (8/5): Beautiful clean apartment in a great location - beautiful building - well appointed apartment but very close to shops bars restaurants, the park, and the waterfront Loadshedding. we thought as it was a large building there may have been a generator
- Alison (9/5): Perfect city break - The apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Nothing
- Georges (8/5): Very good -
- Sean (8/5): would return but only as a couple . Great location and secure parking . - location, quiet, well equipped sofa bed very squeaky and awful thin mattress. impossible to sleep comfortably on so had to make a bed with cushions on the floor. Really not ideal a third bed and the length of stay . We’re given a person to contact re check in but nobody turned up. Then someone else called the next day….. no use who. Then a woman appeared 24 hrs early to check us out. Not v organised check in and out at all
- Devanand (9/5): Superb -
- Belinda (3/5): Poor - The check in arrangements are not very flexible. Access to parking is unclear and was not easy in a very busy area. The aircon unit wasn’t working and none of the representatives knew how to get it to work. it’s a very hot room and therefore uncomfortable in summer. No linen was allocated for the sleeper couch. When I found some in a drawer it was dirty. When I enquired about how to access the swimming pool, I was told there wasn’t one. There is one and we found it ourselves eventually.
- Enzich (7/5): Good -
- Thomas (7/5): Good - underground parking power cuts
- Susan (8/5): Great short stay at cape royale. - Location. Apartment facilities - kitchen washing machine. It was quiet area. Very helpful réception Rooms could have been cleaner. Got impression that à thourough clean was not done from previous clients. The cupboards had bits of hair and dust on the shelves on closer inspection so kept most of our things in the suitcase. Not sure how often duvet covers are dry cleaned. Looked like they are just folded away between client stays. Kitchen was clean but everything should have a thourough wipe down once clients have left .
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Caxaca (8/5): Very good -
- Iwan (10/5): Best place to stay in Cape Town! - This is one of the best buildings and location in Cape Town. with a stunning rooftop pool for sunset views of table mountain and beyond.
The management for this property were super helpful and attentive. and parking is secure and safe. 25/7 concierge and staff for the building also makes your stay very safe.
The flat has lots of sunlight and also a peak of the sunset which is nice, and great blackout curtains for the night. Quiet and soundprooof apartments is also a plus!
walking distance to the park, sea boardwalk and great restaurants and grocery stores.
Highly recommend the stay here.
- Gary (8/5): Very good - Great location
- Mohammed (8/5): Very good -
- Ester (8/5): Very good - Location was great. Lovely apartment with fully fitted kitchen - highly recommended Struggled with no internet and tv for a day or two but they sorted it out for us
- Christine-vivienne (10/5): Awesome apartment in a wonderful location. - Amazing unit - really spacious and fully equipped.
The bedroom was really big and warm and comfortable.
The unit was on a really quiet side of the building - you can literally hear the birds sing in the afternoon.
The apartment comes with coffee, tea, sugar and water.
I cannot recommend this space enough.
- Arnold (9/5): The accommodation was exactly what we needed for a short stay. - location and security
- Michelle (10/5): friendly staff , safe accommodation , central to all attractions - central and walking distance to the Cape Town stadium and waterfront.
- Daniel (7/5): Good - No one could answer questions about the facility
- Martin (8/5): Great apartment at a great price. - Great apartment in a great location. Air con appeared not to be working in bedroom and lounge. Not really a problem as it had been warm recently. Looks like it needs fixing though.
- Mathibe (9/5): Superb -
