Small details prepared in apartment like disposable containers to prepare take away lunch. It is a ground floor with people and some traffic passing in front of the window. At times it seem they pass through the room. Good earplugs necessary.

• Charlotte (9/5): I recommend. A great value accommodation in a lovely location. - The property was close to the Duomo and the sea and the restaurants. It was clean and comfortable with a lovely sun terrace. The bedroom was spacious and well equipped though we didn’t use the cooking facilities. Marco, the proprietor was super-helpful and friendly and stayed in contact via WhatsApp. His app for the apartment had lots of useful information with great recommendations for food as well as advice on local transport. We liked everything - no complaints.

• Hyun Joo (8/5): - Die Lage der Unterkunft war sehr gut – man konnte alle sehenswerten Orte bequem zu Fuß erreichen. Trotzdem ruhig. Zunächst war alles – einschließlich des Check-ins – nur online möglich. Außerdem musste man eine Etage hinaufgehen, wobei die Treppe sehr schmal war, sodass es äußerst schwierig war, mit großen Koffern hinaufzukommen. Auch innerhalb der Unterkunft befand sich das Bett nochmals eine Etage höher, die man über eine sehr enge, spiralförmige Treppe erreichen musste, was ziemlich unpraktisch war. All das mag für jüngere Gäste kein Problem darstellen, aber wir sind etwa um die 70 und waren daran weder gewöhnt noch hatten wir mit solchen Schwierigkeiten gerechnet. Zum Glück konnten wir beim Check-out im Voraus um Hilfe bitten, sodass man uns mit dem Gepäck beim Hinuntertragen unterstützt hat – dafür sind wir sehr dankbar.

• Tegan (10/5): Comfy, clean room in the real heart of Ortigia - Lovely location at the end of the island of Ortigia. Small but comfortable studio room. Comfy bed, great coffee machine, good shower. Marco is really helpful with the parking situation, it is a little complicated if you have a car but he explained and helped us drop our bags and get vouchers for the car park at the top of the island. Noisy people coming and going from the downstairs apartment in the night but that isn’t the fault of the property.

• Marije (10/5): Lovely apartment with roof terrace in great location! - The apartment looks great and has all you need. Marco, the host, is very kind, organized and helpful. The bed is comfortable, the shower powerful. There are snacks, soft drinks and water to welcome you. Up the stairs is a lovely, shared roof terrace with a great view. The location is lovely, 3 minutes to the little Calarossa beach and the centre with all its lively bars and restaurants. We will definitely be back! Can’t find any fault.

• Florence (8/5): Clean, well located apartment - Clean, bright and lots of space for two people. Good location - right by some of the swimming spots and easy to get to anywhere in Ortigia. Marco was very friendly and helpful (all by WhatsApp) and arranged an early check in for us which was much appreciated The spiral staircase up to the bedroom takes some navigating but was fine for us. Might be trickier if you’re taller!

Early trash collection and the people in the unit below were very loud. The staff were very gracious to get us in a little early, and made parking easy. Mechanical noises in room (water pump?)
• Raik (8/5): Mittendrin, tolles Lebensgefühl in der Altstadt und trotzdem ruhig. - Die ruhige Lage in der Nähe des Stadtstrandes und des Altstadtzentrums ist perfekt. Eine möblierte Terrasse mit Meerblick und Dachpanorama steht beiden Parteien zur Verfügung. Die Küche mit Induktionsplatten und ausreichender Ausstattung lädt zum selber kochen ein. Es gibt natürlich auch einen Abzug. Der Fernseher geht über Internet und hat daher viel mehr Sender, als üblich. Die obligatorischen 24-Stunden Parktickets liegen bei Bedarf auf dem Tisch, sollte man mit dem Auto anreisen. Ein Abladen der Koffer ist vor dem Parken möglich. Der Vermieter meldet einen zur Durchfahrt der ZLT an. Der Gastgeber ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit und reagiert schnell auf Anfragen. Für Selbstversorger: Es gibt nur zwei Lebensmittelgeschäfte direkt in der Altstadt, beide ca. 500 m entfernt und nur zu Fuß zu erreichen. Obwohl die Straße sehr eng ist, gelingt es dennoch immer wieder einigen Autos sich durchzuquetschen, besonders am frühen Morgen.

Instructions prior to arriving and departing were clear and sent in good time. The bed was unfortunately very uncomfortable. If you’re tall then the stairs to get up and down to / from the bedroom are a bit hard to navigate, and it’s almost impossible to get a suitcase up there (although there are pictures of the stairs when booking). Could hear noise from the apartment next door very easily (everything from people talking, the TV on to the toilet flushing).

• Tomas (9/5): In the heart of Ortigia - The place is in wonderfull location, Marco the host was super helpfull. The beach on the stones was 5min walk away, we really liked to go there and hang with the locals in the morning. The apartment nr.3 it self was clean and cozy. But we only been there to sleep. The street was calm. Air conditioners worked weel. I have to mention, that as i am 1.90cm heigh it was very small, wc was to close to wall and the spiral stairs was very uncomfy. There was no normal windows and the terrace is from second floor bedroom, so just keep in mind. The grocery store that should be close to the apartment was closed during our stay, so it was difucult to buy simple stuff. Still i recommend this place.

• Max (10/5): Gerne wieder. - Die Unterkunft liegt an der Spitze von Ortigia in ruhiger Lage. Das Meer ist nach drei Seiten hin kaum 50 bis 300 Meter entfernt. Auf der Dachterrasse kann man nach Ausflügen in und um Syrakus wunderbar entspannen - mitsamt Meerblick. Marco - der Host - kümmert sich um alles. Antwortet auf alle Fragen sehr schnell und erfüllt nahezu jeden Wunsch. Check-In und - Out verliefen sehr gut und reibungslos. Das Studio 1 ist für ein bis zwei Personen super geeignet. Tisch und Stühle sind da, die Küche hat alles, was man braucht. Einzig ein Sessel fehlt (mir persönlich). Auf der Dachterrasse gibt es dann aber Sessel und Sofa. Manko ist allenfalls die Lage im Erdgeschoss = Straßenhöhe. Da die Straße aber sehr ruhig ist, stört das kaum.

• Serhii (10/5): - The apartment is located in a quiet and cozy street in the center of Ortigia. The beach is 50 m away. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. The manager Marco was very hospitable. He gave many useful instructions on how to have a good time in Syracuse. We were very pleased when after the heat, cold water and drinks were waiting for us in the refrigerator from Marco. There were also snacks and a lot of coffee in capsules. The air conditioning worked well. The bed was perfectly clean, the bed was comfortable. I recommend Marco's apartments

We had an issue with the boiler and Marco was super responsive and was able to sort it out immediately which was greatly appreciated. Lots of lovely restaurants and places to go for a drink, as well as beautiful sunsets and a little beach nearby. Would 100% recommend Marco’s made in ortigia apartments for a stay! N/A

• Peter (9/5): We loved the place and the location and appreciated the host's responses to our questions and needs. - Very helpful host. Fantastic location at the heart of the old city of Ortigia. The sea is at each end of the narrow quiet street - facing both sides of the 'island'. The central hub and Largo leading to Aretusa spring is very close for bars, cafes, views, as well as for seafront walks around the island towards the bridges to cross to mainland Siracusa, yet the street is protected from any noise. The flat has a window in kitchen and french window up high to look onto street but no outside space but other flats do have ..so if outside space is essentail check with Marco which one you are in. This was out mistake for not double checking from the photos, There is a kitchen with basic equipment. One mobility warning. there is a very lovely modern spiral staircase to get to the bed - you need to be agile to use this at night especially if you are very tall!

It has everything you need, and by arriving you can find greeting sweets, water and sweet drinks in the fridge. The owner was super nice and very responsive: anytime you have a question, he tries to answer and help immediately! We are very happy with our stay and highly recommend it!

The walls are very thin, so you can hear the neighbors talking and moving around in the other rental apartment.

The host is very responsive and has an app with the best tips of restaurants, places to go, everything you need to know. Both apartments I rented were charming, in a very good state, perfectly clean. It can be slightly noisy. But only if you are very sensitive to it. We didn't mind.

He tried to solve my problem and come up with a solution which I greatly appreciated. The bed was up a curved and very steep spiral staircase with the bathroom downstairs. I knew this when I booked but the stairs were very steep. Really an apartment for young people.
• Elisa (7/5): Good - Very easy Check-in and Check-out, Perfect and beautiful Location! The apartment also has a very cute balcony. The host is always reachable and friendly! Different than suggested in the photos, the apartment is in fact very small. The rooftop terrace was the original reason we booked the apartment, but was a bit disappointing. It would be a lot more appealing with a lovely and comfortable furnishing! We didn’t spend much time up there.
• Marisol (10/5): Amazing - The studio's location is excellent, situated near a charming little beach and all the city's major attractions. The terrace is a delightful spot where I thoroughly enjoyed relaxing after a refreshing dip in the sea. Plus, there are great restaurants within a convenient 2-minute stroll. Because of its closeness to neighboring buildings, it can sometimes be noisy, even though it's located on a quiet street. However, I believe this noise issue can be encountered in any place within Ortigia.

Roof top terrace was enjoyable Unit is small but efficient Everything in great working order Walking steps to the castle and shops/restaurants and sunset views only minutes away Nothing, everything was lovely
• Paul (9/5): Superb - The room was very quiet, but close to everything. The roof terrace was a nice extra. The room had everything you need. While it didn't bother us at all, the stairs are narrow and steep, and it would be a struggle with heavy luggage.
• Rariana (10/5): Amazing place! - The place is amazing! We were in Sicily already for 1 week and passed by a few other places, but this one was by far the best! It is small, but very cosy and for a couple is great! Usually I dont see this in reviews but I consider very important: the shower is amazing, the toilet very clean, great water pressure! Marco was so receptive, friendly and helpful!! Always available! We liked so much our stay that we decided to extend, of course because Ortigia is amazing but also because we were in a great place! Grazie mille Marco! Everything was great!!
• Sarah (9/5): Lovely space in a lovely town. Highly recommend, the terrace was a very relaxing space to enjoy the sun. - Lovely apartment and great location. Very clean and welcoming with snacks and drinks provided. Easy access and communication with host. Great location in the old town. Parking is quite a long walk away but we were able to drop off the bags.
• Viktor (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent communication with Marco, was willing to help with anything. Clean and cosy apartment, quite location but very accessible within Ortigia. I wholeheartedly recommend this host! No faults whatsoever!

• Caroline (10/5): Lovely stay, easy check in and out - Loved it ! Check in and out was super easy (no need to wait for anyone), location was right in the earth of the old town, appartment was super cozy, some snacks were waiting for us when we arrived. Would recommend. The app with recommandations was a nice touch ! Nothing - if you arrive by car, keep in mind the appartment is about 900m away from where car can park since it’s a restricted area, but this was not a problem for us.

• Virginia (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Sightseeing was very easy from the apartment. It was good to watch the sunsets. Very clean and comfy. The terrace was lovely, especially as we had booked both rooms, so we had the terrace to ourselves. Concise and clear instructions for entry to the apartments. The app was extremely useful. The map showed our location when we were out and about. We booked a taxi from the recommended service and it was very reliable and cheaper than from a taxi rank. All good. The stairs were a bit difficult to carry up luggage.

• Muriel (7/5): The property was as described and was in an excellent position . The concierge app was very helpful for getting a reliab - liked the coffee machine and the very comfy bed room was dark therefore cool but not somewhere to sit and relax . The terrace would have provided that if the umbrella had worked in the wind . A sail shade would have been much better .
