- Zheng (10/5): This elegant hotel is the best choice for a holiday in downtown Kunming. - I like Green Lake hotel. The decoration of our room is antique and elegant. The facilities are so amazing. I was blown away by the TV next to the tube and the monitor of the outside. The shower and tube were both great. I also like the body cleanser and body lotion. They smell pleasant. Breakfast is nothing short of extraordinary. So many options for food, and the kitchen is well-organized. The location is also inside the best part of Kunming. We had a nice walk outside the hotel and enjoyed the coffee shop nearby. We had a lot of fun and made the best choice to stay here. Nothing.

Everything about it was top notch- room was pristine, lovely view, and every single member of the staff was professional (but also really welcoming which I find more important). I especially want to mention Jacky. After we’d already checked out, we realised we’d left something valuable behind in the room. Jacky went out of his way to personally help us find it, turned out it had slipped down that space between the bed and the side table. Could have been a stressful situation, but Jacky made it simple and was very reassuring. He was also incredibly helpful with travel suggestions, and gave us some practical advice which meant we've moved around a lot more easily during this trip. His recommendations have genuinely improved our plans. Overall, this was a great experience, and Jacky in particular has made a lasting impression. We're absolutely going to stay here next time we're in kunming and would recommend this hotel without hesitation. Thank you 翠湖宾馆 and 张先生！ Everything was brilliant

Zimmer im klassischen Stiel, Personal sehr freunlich und zuvorkommend Extrem gutes Frühstück /Buffet und Zubereitung mit allem drum und dran mehrere Wasserflaschen pro Tag sowie Obst und Plätzchen und Süßigkeiten Bad infolge klassischem geschnörkeltem Stiel nicht besonders praktisch, die geschörkelten Leisten im Duschbereich sahen dreckig aus, die Personenwaage ging nicht, der Fön auch nicht.

- Fabio (3/5): Lack of communication, not good enough for the price. - The hotel is one of the highest rated places in the Green Lake area, which is a charming and busy neighborhood. The room was old but clean and well equipped. Breakfast is good. We chose the most expensive option in the area for our first night in Yunnan to avoid as many issues as possible. The hotel did not offer an airport transfer service nor it helped book a driver and plan activities for the next day. When we got there the staff did not know english well and made us pay way more than the "final price" shown on the website. They said that the value shown was just a reservation fee and that the room we booked was more expensive. At checkout we were short on time, I had to sign a receipt where the price shown was actually the original lower one. The only reasonable explanation might be that the payment included a large safety deposit and that the staff was not clear enough about it. I will update the review if we get the difference back.

- Penelope (9/5): Atmospheric, confortable hotel in a great location - The hotel was atmospheric and the room very comfortable. The historic nature of this hotel really added to its charm. The location was perfect, The Green Lake area is pretty, and there are also interestig neighbourhoods nearby.

- Zlatko (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel had a wonderful location right next to the lake. The room was very clean with all the necessary amenities. The restaurant is very good and there is also 24/7 room service. Even the staff at the reception don't speak particularly good English.

- DB (10/5): Nice location, elegant hotel and staff... - Located adjacent to Green Lake Park - which is a great place to see locals enjoying socializing, walks, and Tai Chi in the early morning or evening. Hotel was elegant for this region and dining was very good. The staff was classy and well-trained - love their uniforms!
