Guest Reviews
- SAMPATH (10/5): - Nice place to stay Rainy day bit hard to go to reception and cafeteria
- Christopher (8/5): Good choice en route to Murchison Falls National Park - We stayed in Masindi overnight en route to Murchison Falls National Park. For this it was satisfactory. The room is solidly built and comfortable. Exceptionally quiet. Food was okay. Staff were very pleasant. Could be just me but the restaurant was very dark. Lighting is minimal. Maybe a good reason for this. Not sure.
- AHMED (8/5): Confortable altogether. I'd still go back there - Environs great. Well nurtured vegetation and trees Breadfast for residents may not have been budget for well because, unlike during my previous visits, this time around, the hotel hosted some group who were on a residential workshop. By 9.00AM, the caterers were caught "flatfooted" when guests turning up for breafast had little or breakfast made hurriedly
- Bara (10/5): -
- Tony (6/5): Adequate - Gardens and pool were an asset. Staff very helpful in helping to sort out a problem with our chimpanzee trek Room was stifling, no air con and fan did not work. Buffet dinner and breakfast not great. Staff were mostly rather sullen.
- Rae (10/5): -
- Ohiana (8/5): -
- lidiamolins (10/5): Recommended for sure - The room was wonderful, better than expected. It was huge, with a kitchen and living room very well cared. Everything was cleaned and the resort in general was amazing. It had swimming pool, bar, terrace, and good athmosphere in the nature. Perfect to stop one or two nights if you need to be close to Masindi, Murchison Falls Park or Chimps Trekking in Budongo Forest.
But the best was the service. Great attention of all of the workers -> We had a health issue and had to go to the pharmacy and the receptionist gave us his number to call him in the pharmacy and he helped us to talk to the pharmaceutical. Really appreciated.
- Lukasz (9/5): - Lokalizacja wygodne łóżko Brak internetu w pokojach oraz brak lodówki i długie oczekiwanie na obiad telewizor bez internetu
- Rosana (7/5): Good -
- Janette (10/5): Always a pleasant and quiet place to stay in Masindi. - I've stayed at Kabalega Lodge in Masindi several times and it's always been great. The staff goes beyond expectations and always ready to greet you with a smile and answer any questions. I highly recommend!!
- Martha (10/5): A very nice stay! -
- Pieland (10/5): Perfect stay at kabalega resort - Food very nice
Rooms very nice
Staff very helpful
Location is in an ambient and a tranquil place Nothing
- Derek (8/5): Very good - The food was good except the pizzas which were lacking.
- Pierre (8/5): Great stay for a family - Welcoming and helpful staff, Good breakfast, swimming pool, good location between Kampala or Jinja and Murchison Falls which enables to stop at the rhino sanctuary.
There was a party on this day closed to the hotel. The staff offered us another room at the other side of the hotel so it was very calm. Many thanks for this.
- Kim (10/5): Perfect place to break up the trip between Jinja and Murchison! - Wow! This resort exceeded our expectations!
We stayed for 1 night just to break up the journey between Jinja and Murchison National Park so we could make time to visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary on our way. We were absolutely blown away by the quality of service, the standard of the room, the large/clean pool and to top it off, the food was absolutely delicious!
I would highly recommend this property! Nothing!
- Mathew (7/5): Good - It was all fair and ok, Swimming pool dirty and wifi did not work
Fair play to the beautiful staff let me connect to there phones hot spot, but annoying as i chose this hotel the most expensive in Masindi hoping it would have the best wifi and did not work at all
- Catherine (7/5): Useful stopovers - Location perfect for getting into the national park on the Budongo side. Masindi town is worth a stroll.
- Guillaume (8/5): Calm, spaceful, comfortable - Nice and spaceful room Should add mosquito nets on the window so that we can sleep the windows open
- Martin (4/5): Disappointed - most staff need propers - The staff in the restaurant did not seem to know what to do. The sugar bowl was empty at breakfast . The bottles of beer were always served warm. 2 cups in the bedroom for a start, quality of food and 1 girl in the serving area was so miserable
- Eric (8/5): Better than anything else we stayed at over our fortnight. Pleasantly surprised by the room standard and the kindness of - Exceptionally clean and well constructed. Great bathroom and shower Buffet wasn’t great. The a la carte menu was good.
- Reiziger256 (8/5): Very good price and quality for a room, large pool and good restaurant - Very friendly and helpfull staff, broad range of foods available in the restaurant and served quickly. its a little out of masindi town but everything is available. Pool is very large. Wifi barely works in the room
- Anderson (10/5): Great place to relax and catch your breath before heading up into the National park. - Lovely and quiet place. Close to a fantastic Indian restaurant just up the road.
My son even forgot his wireless headphones in our room, and the dear lady literally ran out of the hotel into the carpark to catch us as we left to give him his headphones!
- Lucy (10/5): One of the best places we’ve stayed in Uganda! - Good atmosphere and entertainment Nothing
- Thomas (7/5): Be careful if you book on a weekend - Generally a good location in green surroundings with pool, bar and a la carte restaurant On my arrival there was a wedding.
I wasn’t told before- only at arrival.
So I could not use the facilities like pool and garden. But this was the only reason to book a Spa and arrive early.
The noise was unbearable so I had to swap rooms. I still do not understand why they gave me a room next to the noise.
Only after heavy complaints I got another room.
If I would have informed before when I booked I would have decided for another much cheaper option.
At least much quieter.
So be sure if you book for a weekend that there is no function.
I wanted my money.
Didn’t get any apologies or offer of refund or any kind of compensation as it should be in this price league.
Cannot recommend this etablissement.
- Jordan (8/5): Very good -
- Eric (9/5): was really a good one - was excellent the walk way to deluxe rooms
- Daniel (8/5): Nice place, worth it, good located to southern entrance to Murchison Falls Park - We were self driving with our own car to the Murchison falls NP. - The accomodation is good located to one of the southern entrances is approx. 23 km by car. - That´s why we booked. A large resort, with nice pool, good food buffet or a la carte in the restaurant. - Good bed/mattress ! - Clear recommodation from my site! Service is a bit slow, - but you are in Africa! ;-)
- Anjaiah (7/5): Good stay - Fantastic location, close to river Nile and the Game drive No Wifi, No ample charge points and lighting in pathways
- Lisa (7/5): Good -
- Teodora (9/5): Superb - A very good option to stay outside of the national park
- Stephen (7/5): Overalll good but some frustrating points - The bar and catering staff make this place. The food was fabulous also The fact that they wanted payment in $ but only good condition $ notes. Made too big an issue about it as well upon check in. Next time accept pre-payment on the Booking.com platform to prevent these issues
- Jorge (9/5): Superb - The place have nice accomodations and surrounding areas. Some employes where not too friendly
- Vatsla (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Nice place - lovely pool. - This a good place to stop off on the way somewhere else. There's quite a bit of space, a lovely pool (including a baby pool) and the rooms were clean. Menu was pretty good. Appreciated them being flexible with check-out time. Beds were a bit hard. Food took a while to come in the evening.
- Ian (7/5): A good place for overnight transit - The staff were friendly and helpful It is quite dark and gloomy
- Gijsbert (6/5): Average - We had a new room. Beware the old rooms are not to prefer. New rooms have also their issues. Staff is friendly. Toilet did not flash well. Hot water shower was limited . No airco and fan did not work very well. Breakfast not tastfull
- Eeri (9/5): Superb -
- Nagujja (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jose (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (8/5): Beautiful location and grounds with refreshing pool. - Beautiful gardens , stylish rooms, refreshing pool Mattress too firm , no ac, no screens on windows . pool area nice but few lounge chairs. Surrounding pool deck is rough and not kind to unprotected feet . Restaurant was best in town . Atmosphere was tranquil with nice background music . Service was fair. Server Helen was friendly, others not so much .
- Mohammad (8/5): Nice accommodation and good food - Food was great. Helpful staff. Nice atmosphere No hot water in the shower. Speed was very low
- Kevin (7/5): Good -
- Joan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Frank (7/5): Good -
- Giuseppe (9/5): Superb -
- Sanchez (8/5): Very good -
- Kana (6/5): Pleasant -
- Joy (9/5): Superb -
- Ram (10/5): Fantastic garden with good facilities except poor bathrooms - Fantastic resort with fantastic facilities. Bathroom is very of very poor standard. showery don’t work properly
- Beverly (8/5): Very good -
- Saara (8/5): Very good - Nice pool, nice big compound, friendly service Room was not ready in the evening, the bed was noisy, breakfast quite basic
- Ruth (8/5): Tried to book another night it was that good but they sadly where full - Lovely location, great staff really enjoyed our stay The room where small but comfortable however if I could change anything it would be the mattress in room 5. It was not a foam mattress and u could feel the springs. So change the mattress and it was the perfect stay
- Wallis (8/5): A nice quiet place to stay - with great food. - Kabalega Resort seems to be the most expensive place to stay in Masindi. I had to move there due to a booking error at another hotel. It's a nice place - great location with quiet gardens and clean room. Good food! For this price, I think the room was rather average. It was clean, but nothing special. The web site said "garden views" and "balcony" but there was no balcony and the "view" was not of the garden.
