• Höh (4/5): - Die Kapseln sind viel zu klein und funktionieren auch nicht richtig. Ich (1,80) hatte gerade so genug Platz um mich auszustrecken beim schlafen. Klimaanlage muss die ganze Nacht an sein, da man sonst in dem Ding gefühlt erstickt

• Kristófer (1/5): horrible staff - nice restrooms housekeeper was very homophobic and condesending, we had to go back to retrieve an item we forgot, and the old man had a big attitude and was very weird towards my friend (16 years old by the way), even asking him to remove his pants.
• Rán Blær (5/5): 4/10. Could've been much better. - You get a lot of privacy, despite being in one big room. The mattress took some getting used to, but it was still an okay sleep. If you're looking for a hostel where almost anything is in walking distance, this one's a solid pick. There was no way to turn off the TV and the Chromecast kept disconnecting every five minutes. The pods weren't noise-cancelling either and seemed pretty cheaply made. The sleep mode button did not work at all and thus made sleeping difficult.
• Dagur (1/5): Nice pods but housekeeper was too homophobic. - I liked the style of the pods The downgrading attitude the owners(female) husband showed my friends who shared a pod, he made homophobic regards about 2 men sharing a pod, and asked one of my friend to remove his pants before entering since they were “wet”. He aslo did raised a tone when we were entering the pods since they were too loud. He even had the audacity to ask the if one of them wasnt surely gender fluid. This came right after they were let inside after 3 hours of back and forth talk to go back in to retrive a visable canon camera they forgot in the pod. I really felt uncomfortable being around this man. Also there was alot of loud snoring and baby crying all night 0/10 dont recommend bc of the old man there.
• Marie-Theres (10/5): - Es hat zwar einen Fernseher mit Fernbedienung und Kopfhörern in den Kapseln aber man kann mit dem Fernseher keine Sender reinbekommen und auch mit dem Handy liess er sich nicht verbinden. War also etwas unnötig.

• Phoebe_Green (10/5): Great accomodation in Akureyri - Excellent location, quiet hostel, clean and well thought space, plenty of communal space. The capsules are great, comfy beds, easy checkin and checkout. They have a massive fridge in the kitchen, a walk-in fridge - that is very cool (pun intended). Free coffee and tea mahcine, very handy in the mornings. Bathrooms are individual, with shower, sink and toilet. Separate few sinks are available for handwashing, toothbrushign or make up. Will definitely stay here again. Everything is online- booking, checkin, checkout. There is no manned receptio, however there is a member of staff on site for emmergencies. Although some days there were few travellers in the hostel, the staff closed some bathrooms, leaving 2-3 available (out of approx 8-9in total). Cooking facilities available until 10pm, for late arrivals there was no way to cook some pasta. Kettles were available though.

Great they also provide headphones for the TV in each pod Unfortunately one headphone jack was broken but didn't hinder our experience

• Daniel (10/5): Danthejourneyman - Everything, Every staff member that couldn't do enough for you,Beautifully arranged and set up with many kitchen appliances and massive walk in refrigerator ,comfortable and large clean futuristic pods to sleep in and completely safe with very good security.The location was perfect for me and a 2 minute walk to the whale watching boats and its the easiest half an hour straight forward walk to the airport to save you £8 on the bus and get some last minute photos of this magnificent place.The only thing missing from there now is me Nothing

• Leopold (2/5): It was the worst accommodation I've ever experienced. Don't waste your money... - Literally nothing. I contracted minor heat stroke in my sleep as my pod capsule was 29.6C to 39.8C (Fire Safety Violation) with no air conditioning. The kitchen stoves wouldn't work properly (fire risk), the staff were very conservative and rude to me, especially when I demanded a refund for the last two remaining stays, they wouldn't and refused to even acknowledge my feedback. They even tried to convince me that I wasn't experiencing the heat and I must of been imagining it. I reported these violations to the H&S Authority of Akureyri, which this Hostel is now under investigation and inspection. My refund is still due and he has not paid me back. His assistants were useless and kept belittling. I left my vitamins in the building, so I returned the next day to retrieve them after I had was locked out of my paid accommodation, and I knocked on the door downstairs harder and harder until one of them answered, and found my vitamins were discarded somewhere discretely (destruction of property), the owner was insistent that I get out of the building despite my active accommodation which he hadn't and still has refunded to me. All while this happened, the Health & Safety authority walks in behind me and starts confronting the owner (while he was telling me to get out, in front of them) and started the inspection of the premises. His support team and staff was of African descent and I could not understand their ascent over the phone, and they didn't provide any support, they kept insisting that I was using the kitchen after 10pm and I didn't do that, I starting cooking at 8:20pm, they say they turn the cookers power off after 10pm to ensure safety of guests, which made it sound like I was the one at fault. I have honestly never had such a bad accommodation in my life, it was dreadful, I would not recommend this Hostel to my worst enemies, as you could be assaulted by staff or die in a house fire, both aren't unlikely.

• Tamas (10/5): Best capsule hostel i ever stayed in my Europe trip ❤️ - By far the best capsule hotel i stayed in my travelling around Europe. Its super central location, very clean and tidy. Have individual shower rooms, very well equipped kitchen, amazing communal area, roof terrace. Many books to read, chess, pool table. Coffee machine available 24/7 free. Walk in, giant fridge, modern kitchen. Very spacious, check in is straightforward, and the capsules are really comfortable. Spent a whole week there and enjoyed a lot. Would not hesitate to come back again… will do it with pleasure! Loved it!! ❤️

• Spiros (10/5): Hostel który musisz odwiedzić. - Koniecznie odwiedźcie ten obiekt!!! Byłem tam 2 razy. Z jednej strony ciepła przestronna wspólna sala, skórzane sofy, biblioteka pełnia książek o islandii, z drugiej... pokoje z kapsułami, podświetlone na niebiesko jak bio laboratorium w Resident Evil :) Darmowa kawa i herbata dla gości. Czysto, bardzo czysto, poznałem właścicieli, fanjni ludzie. Ogólnie kapsuły to jednak więcej prywatności niż shared bedroom, co oczywiście robi nieco wyższą cenę. Są kapsuły 2 osobowe i płacisz tak jak za kapsłułe. Czyli 4 pojedyncze wyjdą 2x drożej niż 2 podwójne! Kapsuły na początku mogą być trudne w obsłudze, ale na pewno nie bójcie się jednego - nie zatrzaśniecie się w nich - otwieranie od wewnątrz jest manualne i zawsze zadziała.

• Nadia (8/5): - Dobře vybavená kuchyň, relativní dostatek sociálních zařízení(hostel byl poloprázdný). Hezky zařízený interiér. Výborná poloha. Příjemný majordomus. Zastávku jsem plánovala s cílem vyprat si a usušit prádlo na další půlku cesty. To ale aktuálně nebylo možné. Pračka byla rozbitá a susička nebyla vůbec. Napříště se budu dotazovat dopředu.

For example, the kitchen, cafe, and lounge are very nice. I really liked the place, and this isn't my first time staying here. I think I stayed four nights last time and returned yesterday. What I liked most was how the staff and the manager treated me. They were incredibly kind, polite, and respectful. I was very impressed with them, both the man and the woman in charge. You need to add another charging port for your phone because the triangle where the charging cable is currently located is too wide, so the charger won't stay securely in the wall. You could also add a USB-C charging port; most phones now use USB-C, not the standard USB port.
