Guest Reviews

Choukran !

Good location, just far enough from the centre to be quiet but easy to walk to Wifi was spotty
- Franz (10/5): -

Chambre simple mais bien.
De la place pour garer sa voiture . RAS
- Emmanuel (7/5): - C'est bien . Les draps pas changés, une habitude locale. Je voyage avec mes draps...
- Mohamed (8/5): - L'accueil. Rien.
- Peter (8/5): -
- Jim (3/5): Avoid - WiFi, bed, parking ok No hot water, no toiletries, no staff, no Comms, semi deserted location, dirt loon pan, blocked shower waste
- Tobias (5/5): Cheap private room with ensuite bath but dont expect it to be clean. - Very cheap private room. Bed sheets where stained. The smell wasnt nice. There were people in the basement that were making weird noises , supposedly the owners, never saw them.
- Marta (7/5): Good - Big rooms with windows, great view The beds didnt seem to be really clean
- Jatinic (8/5): Very good - Beautiful view, quiet place and clean
- Robin (10/5): Very good and friendly place. - AZUR TAFRAOUTE is a very nice little budget hotel, run by a family.
It's really good value for money. I paid 6 euros and got a big room (room number 1).
They have wifi and hot shower.
It's only 10 minutes walking to the center.
The guy, Hamid, was very friendly and helpful.
He provided me with a electric mini-stove, so I could boil water for coffee and noodles in my room. Thank you my friend!
I highly recommend this place! I liked everything.
- Martin (8/5): It was great - Mohamed was very good and the accommodation was safe and secure.Breakfast was great There was nothing I didn't like
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Adam (3/5): Poor - Property closed on arrival but still active for bookings
- John (10/5): I loved my time & hope to return - Lovely and peaceful, in an amazing part of Morocco. I had a couple of delicious meals with the family (cheaper than a restaurant). A comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. I can’t think of anything.
- Parkin (6/5): Quiet out of town location - Quiet location, was a bit too far out of town for my liking about 10 mins walk and there was no hot water, but the lady who greeted me was very friendly and helpful. No hot water
- John (10/5): Lovely hosts and place to stay. Great location on the edge of town but 5mins from the action. - Lovely people. I enjoyed eating with them (v flexible as well, I asked for dinner at 7pm on my first night and 7.30pm on second evening). Dinner not included but good value and large portions! Only tiny issue was a noisy water heater on my first night (don’t take a late long shower like I did though).
- Matheson (8/5): Very good -
- Julian (10/5): Excellent value for money - Very hospitable hosts Don’t get the room beneath the water pump on the roof and above the host’s kitchen on the floor below!
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly welcome. Warm water. Working air conditioning. Highly recommended
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly welcome. Warm water. Working air conditioning
- Sydney (5/5): Passable - I ordered dinner one night and it was very good, great taste and good value (60 dirham for tajine with salad, water and dessert). The Wi-Fi worked really well. It was nice to be a bit out of town so you can walk and see a little bit more. There was a WhatsApp number and someone answered in English so I could request things like meals. Good hot water in the shower. Bathroom wasn’t super clean - hair in shower drain, old rubbish in the bin, only enough toilet paper for one day. The staff were a bit absent, there was never anyone around to ask questions to, just someone to message on WhatsApp. No outdoor furniture on terrace or patio to sit and enjoy the scenery. Breakfast expensive (50 dirham) and not anything special.
- Francesca (9/5): Superb - Nice Place quite and clean, good for visit Tafraout and the area. The Staff Is nice and Welcoming, I recommend it
- Zbynek (10/5): Exceptional - Nice place to stay in Tafrout, quite location, great breakfast and dinner if requested
- Power (9/5): Superb -
- Juncheng (9/5): Superb - Good service Drainage system could be improved
- Ju (8/5): Away from the center and for travallers not seeking advice/info. - Spacious and clean room.
Everything worked in the room, bed is large. It is quiet.
Ok if you're independant and do not seek socializing or mind being far from the center. It is quite far from the center and the path goes through a weird brand new ghost town.
No reception. The young host is kind of goodwilling but he is the cook, living at the ground level with his family (I guess) and the owner is far away, so some question on prices cannot be answered; also, no information whatsoever on treks/walks/transportation. When asked about this, the host said he would call a friend to help me, who was actually a professionnal guide who barely listened to my questions and tried to sell me tours while it was obvious I was looking for some information on how to visit on my own (which I ended doing). At the same time, this guide was kind enough to bring me closer to the painted rocks area on his motorcycle because it was a bit late in the afternoon (while I didn't ask anything).
Probably a bit too expensive overall given the location.
- Pawel (10/5): Super - Evrything 4lige,I Hope 3 next year😁
- Alberto (9/5): Superb - Beautiful calm hotel run by a nice family. Close (a 5-10 minutes walk ) to the center of Tafraoute but in a calm area. Appreciate the incredible landscapes of the region from here. The stay here was very restful and ressourcing...
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Friendly family, comfortable facilities and nice breakfast Breakfast was a bit pricey but the accommodation was good value for money.
- Marta (8/5): Very good - large room and private bathroom There is no wardrobe or shelves in the room where you can unpack your things
- Judith (8/5): Very good - Good location comfortable Nothing
- Osiris (8/5): Very good - Good value, easy location in Trafraoute Could be noisy due to dog's pack during the night which is an issue in all the south of Morocco anyway and not the hotel's fault.
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good - The room especially the bed was very comfortable with a great view of the mountains. The location is good, at the edge of town away from the hustle bustle and engine sounds. The family were very sweet. Plenty of hot water
Small hotel so few other people around, I had the garden and rooftop terrace to myself. WiFi all around the place. There was not always someone available for teas/coffees. The young lad that does breakfast isn't up before 9 so a coffee b4 an early start is difficult. There were no seats or tables on the shared terrace out front. The wall around the roof top terrace is so high it obscures the 360 views of mountains. It's in a very new area, so some building noises in the immediate vicinity.
- Lukasz (7/5): Good -
- Barbara (10/5): Nice and quiet homestay. Host was very kind. In the place you can order big and delicious breakfast! -
- Arlie (9/5): Superb - Location was great and slightly quieter than being right in the centre of Tafraout. The family were extremely helpful and accommodating to us and our request to change dates. Breakfast was good and the beds were comfy. Thank you. For the price, it was excellent. The showers were either boiling hot or freezing cold with low water pressure.
- Norman (8/5): Very good - Nice location, close to the town. The bed pillows were very uncomfortable and the breakfast too expensive.
- Flavio (10/5): Amazing people , great Moroccan hospitality. Best place in the region ! - Amazing staff, cozy place
- Joseph (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff, very honest and helped me with a mixup in the booking by the website... I only stayed one night but it had a good shower and was a quiet place to rest.
- Damjan (9/5): Superb -
- Uttley (10/5): John and Jacs motorbike trip. - The family in Azur were lovely, kind and so helpful. Ismail our host was very helpful and positive. The breakfast and coffee were delicious. The water was, at times, a little inconsistent. Bearing in mind the time of year and location it's not surprising.
- Richie (9/5): Superb - Ismael the young man who welcomed me was affable and polite, a nice knowledge of English and Français, a nice safe place to park my motorbike. Quiet but still close enough to the town centre to think nothing of walking in and out twice of an evening after my motorbike excursion. Thanks
Breakfast was so big I took some away and ate it for lunch. I was embarrassed to leave so much food behind me
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Zakaria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hubert (10/5): I felt like at home. - Since the first minutes I felt very welcome by the host and his family. They are genuine, hospitable people. We hung out and spend fun time together. Even the language barrier wasn't a problem thanks to technology. I really regret I couldn't spend more time there.
The room was cozy and good looking. Equipped with all the facilities I could need, like a new soap, towels, shampoo, AC, and even the mosquito screen in window 🥰.
- Jan (9/5): Superb - Parking for moto
Breakfast bit expensive but finally not only sweet one
Checkout time was flexible
Laundry Checkin was bit chaotic
Wifi was slow
Smell of goats from under the stairs, luckily it was just outside
- Simon (9/5): Superb -
- Stéphane (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice welcome, Mohamed, Aicha and Soukaina are super nice, rooms really comfortable, extra dinners and breakfast perfect Communication not always easy, but eventually always ok
- Christoph (8/5): Very good -
- Matteo (4/5): Great room but very dirty. - Nice room with bathroom, could do an early check-in Found 3 dead insects in my bed, there was poop in the toilet, very noisy
- Josip (10/5): Exceptional - Great host All good
- Robert (8/5): Comfy, clean, great value for money - the loud plumbing / pump system needs adjustment. - Comfy bed. Impeccably clean. Away from the bustle of the centre, but close enough. Great value for money, recommended. Every now & then loud noise from the water pump (solar heating) on the roof, even at night. My room was just underneath that system. Also loud, hammering noise from the plumbing when using the shower.
- Marco (5/5): not recommend, only if money is short - you get what you’ve paid for. location is okay, quiet at night. restaurants, the market (souk) , atm is available on short walking distance. safe parking for my motorbike the wifi wasn’t strong, the host let me fill out the registration. a promised breakfast has been forgotten.
- Azsiham (10/5): Exceptional - Just book it ! I mean it's not a 5 star hotel or somethign luxurious, but you really feel like visiting your grandma's house, its so warm and homy, I will come back as much as I can !
- Ana (8/5): Very good - Was a little cold.
Maybe my fault because there was an A/C that probably could be the heating
- Graeme (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sabine (10/5): Exceptional - Aisha, the mother of the house and Habiba, the cleaning woman take good care of the guest. I felt like being in a home ( family) far away from home. Aisha speaks Berber and french. Her son Mohamed lives in Agadir but you can ask him anything and he will help via WhatsApp.
The room was nice. Breakfast is great!!!! The house is a little outside of Center...15 Minutes walking.I always felt safe walking there alone...good neighbourhood. There is hiking trails near the house...look for the old Berber museum and the " gazelle" then follow the red marks. Wonderful views.
Thank you...shukran...Aisha, Habiba and Mohamed 🙏
- Micheline (7/5): Warm hospitality - The location is great, in a quiet spot. The room was very basic but fine to just sleep in. We were here in winter so didn’t see the roof. The owner of the house was very kind. There was AirCon in the room and there were lots of blankets. There were no bedside lights.
- Kieran (9/5): Superb -
- Shifu (9/5): Superb -
- Luca (5/5): Passable -
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - Best Guesthouse I have been too.
- Claudia (9/5): Very good value for money and friendly host! - The location is very good, in a quiet area but not far from town (walking). We were welcomed with tea.
The room was simple but very clean. The bathroom was very big and there was hot shower. There is a rooftop and a cute area outside the house with a table, chairs and bar chairs.
We also liked the hospitality of our host, thank you!! We had breakfast there and it was good and big.
If I am in the region again, I will stay there. -
- Louise (9/5): Ver good !! - Our host, Rkya, was lovely. She made us very welcome, made us a tasty local breakfast and offered tea when we arrived. She delighted the next day in offering to dress us in traditional clothes which was a great touch and she was generally helpful and charming. Pillows on the bed were too high.
- Peter (8/5): Very good - Nice guesthouse, friendly and helpful hosts. Location about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Tafraoute, in a quiet area.
- Mike (7/5): comfortable bed, clean and easy to find and warm welcome - value for money cold shower which ran out of water very quickly
- Byrne (10/5): Exceptional - A 5-10 minute walk from the centre which meant it was nice and quiet. The quiet, young couple who run it are very nice -they even brought me mint tea and biscuits whilst I was reading on the terrace.
- James (8/5): Very good - The owner was away and his mother was in charge. Very nice lady. Room was large and comfortable. Good shower. A 10 minute walk to the centre meant it was very quiet. Good value place to stay. PS there is a 'collective' to the oasis Ait Masour even though everyone tells you there isn't. DH25 one way and leaves close to Restaurant Kasbah. Getting back involves a bit of a wait but I left Tagrouate at 1pm and took a collective back at 5, more than enough time.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Hanna (10/5): I heartily recommend - Hospitality Nothing
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ariadna (9/5): Clean and good homemade food - The family that runs the guesthouse are very kind and great cooks!
The room and bathroom were clean and Azur is located away from the noice of town center.
- Youness (10/5): Exceptional -
