Sabrina (1/5): a nightmare, dirty place with cockroaches, room is not the one in the photo - nothing I simply arrived at the place and the gentleman who received me took me to a room with cockroaches and that was not the one in the picture, it was tiny where one bed ended with the headboard of the other bed at my feet. So I asked for the room in the picture. He was annoyed and upset, and I kept saying that this is not the room in the picture. He also took me to another place of accommodation of his friend. So, at the friend's place, yes, it was cleaner and had a room with two separate beds like the one in the picture. He charged more than the amount described in Booking. Because the payment is made there, he took advantage, asking for more, even though I showed him the price on Booking. I have never been in a situation like this, so much shit in a small place of accommodation of only one day that was supposed to be a rest to continue the trip, because we were going to rest to go to Thailand. Then, when we were sleeping, the same gentleman who charged the extra came knocking on the room door with force and violence. He was knocking very loudly and insistently, so my friend opened the door and asked not to disturb us because we were sleeping. The man seemed very upset because I complained about the dirt from the cockroaches in the other place he took me, the horrible room he initially took me to, which was not the one in the photo. The torment only stopped when my friend loudly informed him that she was going to call the police. He then stopped knocking on the door because it was the second time he had knocked even though he had been informed that we were sleeping. He was so inconvenient and so rude, as well as being very disorganized and dirty in his rooms. So this break, which was supposed to be a rest, was a nightmare.
Melissa (7/5): Overall, we are able to enjoy our whole vacation. - The location is good, and if you’re not particular about the space and are traveling alone or with a partner, the place is suitable. Considering its price, I believe it is fair. The place also has a shared refrigerator, an oven, and a water dispenser. The area is small. No free toiletries so make sure to bring your own. There is only one outlet which can be a challenge if you have multiple gadgets.

Q5144YTmariaj (4/5): A Very Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended at All - We recently spent one week in Hong Kong and chose to stay at OM Guest House—unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience that affected the enjoyment of our trip. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the place was poorly maintained. The rooms were so tiny, uncomfortable and the bathroom was in terrible condition. The photos online were completely misleading—it was nothing like what we expected, and honestly, we felt let down. We tried to stay positive during our vacation, but the accommodation truly made things harder. It was uncomfortable returning to the room each day, and it didn’t feel safe or welcoming at all. This guest house may seem like a budget-friendly option, but it’s not worth the savings when your comfort, rest, and peace of mind are compromised. We do not recommend staying here, especially for families or travelers who are looking for a clean, decent place to stay. There are many better options in Hong Kong—OM Guest House is not one of them. We truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes much-needed improvements for future guests.

Cripps (1/5): This place catfishes people - I DID NOT stay at this hotel. I left because it was horrible and the listing was not what was presented. The description and pictures were a complete fabrication. Everything this property was disgusting and I was lied to based on the description and photos of the property. Description said 3 bedroom with walk-in shower and fireplace. I got a 8x8 ft room with two twin beds that you could barely open the door and a bathroom that had an extended beday wand so you showered over the toilet.

This happened to my booking for three nights, It occurred to me that I can’t stay here because no room available when I've arrived at the hotel. I feel bad experience. It is unfair to me. They have been running their business dishonestly. The hotel is not reliable, it ignores customer reservations. Hotel owner and staff didn't help and support any problem. (Terrible, unfriendly, ignore, no service mind) I tried contact to hotel, but They don’t reply any question or help all channel (email, agoda chat, WhatsApp). Although, I request to change date for this booking, and We agreed with face-to-face (Hotel owner & staff and Me). When I request to agoda CSS, but they denied my request, and I contact Agoda CSS many times for solve this problem. It doesn’t follow that agreement. Finally, I can’t free cancellation. I haven't received refund from this booking and I can’t change date for this booking. They aren’t responsible, Poor Management of Property partner/owner and take advantage of customer. Dealing with unreliable people which bad mindset. It is low standard quality hotel. Actually, I don't recommend this hotel for travelers. Dirty walls and greasy ceiling. The beds are not comfortable and the duvet was not clean. The bathroom was not better too. Stinky and dirty. I understand everything, but how come you can put this place for a rent if you can’t look after the property? Deep cleaning is needed there.

While we waited in the hallway for hours for basic information from staff we saw many cockroaches and a rat there! Afterwards, we spent two days on the phone, long distance, with Expedia waiting to be rebooked elsewhere. A most horrible experience! Don’t let it happen to you too.

Jens Sverre (2/5): Fikk ikke det som var bestilt.+Lang venting på rom - Hei ! Jeg hadde som kjent en booking med overnatting på Om Guest House i Hong Kong fra lørdag 20 Januar til søndag 21 januar. Da jeg kom dit ville representanten på Om Guest House ikke vite av bestillingen min, Han så han fant den ikke. Og her er det allerede fullbooket. Men heldigvis hadde jeg tatt bilde av bestillingen på min mobil som jeg viste han. Der stod jo bestilling dokumentert og at jeg hadde betalt. ( confirmed ) Etter vel 20 minutter fant han bookingen min litt motvillig. Men han sa de var overboket og han ikke kunne gjøre noe med dette. Jeg svarte han at han hadde bare med å fikse et hotel da jeg hadde en bestilling som allerede var betalt. At det var overbooket er ikke min feil. Etter mye om og men sa han at jeg måtte komme igjen om noen timer , så skulle han se. Jeg gikk ut noen timer for så og så komme tilbake. Rundt kl 16 på ettermiddagen fikk jeg et rom/kott som OVERHODET ikke var det jeg hadde bestilt og betalt for. Dette rommet var uten vindu og gulvplass på knapt 1 m2. Dette var veldig dårlige greier. :-( Jeg hadde bestilt et større rom med vindu, det fikk jeg ikke. Skal jeg forsette å bruke Hotels.com må jeg kunne stole på at jeg får det rommet jeg har bestilt og at jeg får det noelunde på tiden. Slikt som dette skal ikke skal skje. Hva vil Hotels.com gjøre med dette?
Bonggyun (2/5): 영 별로임 - 새벽에도 체크인 가능하다고 해서 예약했는데... 사무실에는 사람이 없고 전화하라고 되어 있어 전화했더니 15분만에 나오고 나와서도 짜쯩을 냈음.. 방도 별로였고 방값이 3만원 정도라 참았어요
fhabz (4/5): Wont stay here again.. - We stayed here for 4 nights, so we had an agreement with the housekeeper that we will pay HKD 200/night, we need to pay 1 night advance (so we paid it..) and the balance was payable upon check-out. On the 3rd day after our whole day trip, the housekeeper informed us that we need to transfer to a smaller room (coz we were in a small one already but its fine, we only stayed here for the night anyways) bcoz he gave the room that we're using to another guest for a higher rate. We didnt agree to the housekeeper and asked him if his boss knew what he's doing, we even told him that wed rather transfer to another guesthouse than to transfer to a smaller room (but it's just a fake threat coz were already settled in that room and it would be a waste of time to pack and unpack our things again and find another guesthouse ). Later on, the housekeeper didnt push his "sideline" and instead asked us to pay for the remaining balance.
Genevieve_G01 (10/5): Best in Chungking mansions - Chungking mansions is not for everyone. It's usually very very small rooms, in kind of a sketchy (yet safe) building. It's full of travelers and backpackers. It's by far the cheapest place to stay in Hong Kong. It's a great HK experience. Some places in the mansions are dirty... but this place was great. Very clean. Great owner super friendly and helpful. There was a confusion with our reservation. No headaches, he fixed it. If you just need a place to sleep for a few nights, this is perfect.
kentisnowhere (10/5): Cheap yet clean! - We stayed for 4 nights on the 16th floor of OM Hostel in Chungking Mansion. The location is perfect! The rooms are clean yet small. What I like about OM hostel is that they have free drinkable water. All we need to do is refill our tumblers and hit the streets!
978MichaelP (4/5): Poorest place I have stayed in passing through Hong Kong - I checked with Agoda, there were good deals for the 24th October, but nothing reasonable for my date, the 28th. I checked here with Trip Advisor too... Surely they meant HK$ and not CAD$? I considered staying at the airport for 18 hours between my flights as I could not believe the amounts being asked for for places I have stayed at before. In the end I decided to pay the $301 CAD rate for a room at OM Guesthouse which I am told is six times the normal rate! Never Never Never again! I will never do this again. The 'guest house' is in an ugly building above a market with a single small lift (elevator) which has a long queue to enter. It wasn't easy to find my way into this 'mansion'. In the morning I saw three lifts pass my floor too full, and so I walked down the stairs. One of the two beds was clean. Both pillows were clean, three drinking mugs were not clean... I went to the 7-eleven for a bottle of water. If you want a $50 USD doss house this will fit the bill, $301 CAD is an absolute rip off.
