• Arianne (6/5): Centraal in Kanchanaburi maar niet voor herhaling vatbaar - Centrale ligging. Het duurde erg lang tot de kamer koel was. De airco maakt een hard geluid. In de badkamer zat geen airco en was het echt bloedheet. Je kon de deur niet open zetten naar de slaapkamer want dan werd het daar ook heet. Wij hadden met ontbijt. Je kon maar 1 ding kiezen uit een lijst van 6. Was dus echt beperkt. Geen jochies of fruit ofzo. Tegenover het hotel zit een café oid waar ze tot rond 13 uur lawaai maken. Dit hoor je goed op je slaapkamer. Ik kan niet begrijpen dat dit een 4 sterren hotel is. Wij hadden 4 kamers omdat we met 8 personen waren en elke kamer heeft dezelfde ervaring als ik hier beschrijf. Wees dus gewaarschuwd!

• Alinca Megan (10/5): - I always stay here when I visit Kanchanaburi. It’s a modern hostel with great breakfast 🙂 regarding the noise I came prepared with ear plugs just in case cafe reading reviews, but I didn’t need them. The noise is very faint and barely bothers anyone!

Chambre donnant sur la rue avec simple vitrage ,bar dans la rue avec musique à fond jusqu'à 2h du matin , obligez d'essayer de dormir avec des boules quies. Petit dej compris dans le prix de la chambre très minimaliste.

• Kato (4/5): Heel slecht geslapen. - De lobby is leuk ingericht, en de poging voor het treinthema kwam wel door. De mensen achter de balie zijn vriendelijk. Het was enorm luid. Tegenover het hotel is een bar waar tot 01.30h luid gezongen werd. De ramen zijn enkel glas en hielden niets tegen. In de kamer zelf was dan ook de airco nogeens erg luid waardoor er geen rust te vinden was. De wasmachines waren kapot. Het treinthema was meer een bunkerthema waar je wel wat aan kon wennen, en qua ligging was het ook niet zo geweldig centraal. Over het algemeen zijn de “zeer goede” recensies flink misleidend.

• Thierry (4/5): - Le personnels très à l'écoute. Mlle Ming très professionnel. Un hangar à 50 m de l'hôtel sans protection acoustique, jouait de la musique tout les soirs jusqu'à 1h du matin ( boîte de nuit) Impossible de dormir et de se reposer. L'hôtel n'est pas du tout insonorisé....

• Sam (8/5): Great thanks - Clean and comfy, cosy and modern. Not a sociable hostel but very good for a decent nights sleep. Not far from the train station and on the main road but quiet The drains in the shower room/toilet smelled quite bad. Tolerable but not nice. Also the socket for my top bunk bed was really far away from the bed on the wall so couldn’t charge my phone. Other than this very good though,
• Eliza (7/5): - Bardzo ładny hotel w stylu industrialnym. Pokój wygląda jak na zdjęciach, łóżko jest duże. łazienka też jest fajna, ma osobny spory prysznic. Personel hotelu jest bardzo przyjazny i dobrze mówi po angielsku. Jeśli wybierasz się na wodospady, to autobus łap prosto z dworca i najlepiej bądź 15 minut wcześniej. Chętnych jest sporo i ci którzy przyszli później lub wsiadali po drodze musieli stać, a autobus jest ciasny i jedzie w praktyce blisko 2 godzin. Okna w pokoju się nie domykają, a na przeciwko hotelu jest bardzo głośny klub, w którym przez całą noc gra muzyka. Hałas jest naprawdę uciążliwy, rozumiem że na klub nie mają wpływu, ale domykające się okna zrobiłyby dużą różnicę. Hotel jest jakieś 15 minut spacerem od dworca, więc nie bardzo daleko ale droga na pieszo z walizką jest trudna, nie ma tam za bardzo chodnika, polecam dojechać taksówką.
• Mary-Louise (8/5): Prima verblijf voor 1 nacht - Het was heel schoon! Het ontbijt was wat minder, en weinig faciliteiten. Maar deed niet onder aan de hygiëne en het vriendelijke personeel.

• marc (8/5): Prima hotel, we zouden er terug voor kiezen. - Het personeel was heel behulpzaam. In totaal hebben we 4 nachten in het westory hotel gelogeerd. Het is pas de laatste ochtend dat we te weten kwamen dat de drank namelijk koffie, appelsiensap en chocomelk ter beschikking was en inbegrepen. Het ontbijt was goed. We namen wel 4 sneedjes brood extra maar voor 40 bath kun je niet sukkelen. De badkamer was functioneel met een prima douche, handdoeken, shampoo en zeep waren beschikbaar. Er is geen waterkoker op de kamer. De grote kussens zijn zeer hoog en niet slaapbaar voor mij. Gelukkig waren er ook kleine kussens ( zonder overtrek ) beschikbaar. Dan heb ik die maar gebruikt. Het dikke kussen was wel OK voor mijn partner. Er is tot laat in de nacht lawaai. Zelf ik geen last van maar mijn partner moest oordoppen van goede kwaliteit gebruiken.

• Amaury (7/5): Bon séjour dans l'ensemble. - Le style industriel de l'hotel. La proximité avec la gare routière et les marchés de nuit. J'avais réservé une chambre supérieur de 29m2 alors que nous avons logé dans une petite chambre d'environ 16m2. Le petit déjeuner était bon mais pas rassasiant.

• John (8/5): First time I have stayed here and found it very good, would use it again. - The staff were all excellent, really good service and friendly, also would help any way they could. Every where was really clean. I had breakfast which I could choose from the selection on the breakfast menu, both days were very good well served and hot. The hotel coffee bar come restaurant was very well decorated, a Christmas theme with a very beautiful Christmas tree and products being sold looked excellent in their Christmas packaging and display. Also very comfortable place to sit and relax. The room I had more for one person than a family. Room and bathroom a bit basic, no where to hang items if staying for any length of time, walls a bit rough but think that is the theme of the hotel! Could do with some western channels on the TV but not that important.

• Rita (7/5): The balance was good but... - Good location. Staff was very nice, especially Kim. We have chosen fried rice for breakfast and it was pretty good. In general we have enjoyed but the facilities are quite old and deserve requalification. The AC dropped water into the bedroom, it is right in front of the bed so the wind blows directly into you when your sleeping. The pillows are HUGE and we actually had to sleep with our towels fold. The worst thing was the noise. There is a pub very close and the music was quite loud into the night, until 2am.

• Rachel (7/5): Communal spaces were lovely, but let down by pokey dorms. - The communal space was lovely, with areas for relaxing and also sitting/working. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and friendly. The dorm rooms were small, there wasn't really anywhere to put your stuff. The lockers were only really big enough for valuables, they weren't wide enough for a backpack. Also the lighting in the whole place was quite subdued, so it made it feel shabbily than it was, even though it was clean. They also only did mixed gender dorms, which I don't like. To be fair, hostel standards in Thailand have been really high, so maybe my review is influenced by that.

• Fenne (8/5): Nice stay - Nice staff, nice place. Room is a bit crowded, but had a cool vibe in the whole hostel. Booked a room for the two of us so we had a bathroom for ourselves, but peaked in the shared bathroom and it looked very clean.

• Julia (10/5): Excellent stay for a budget hotel, very comfortable and welcoming. - The staff were amazing, all of them. Couldn’t help us enough. They even hailed down the bus for Erawan falls which stopped right outside the hotel. We chose the sandwiche breakfast( paid extra ) to take as a packed lunch, all ready when we came down for breakfast. Location central to train and bus stations. Had a lovely supper at the market 10in walk towards the bus station
• Zuzanna (6/5): Pleasant - Close to bus station with buses to Erawan. Very loud and not attractive surrounding, need of extra payment for breakfast coffee, deposit for the room card.
• Tomek (6/5): Nice stylish place but don’t hope for a long sleep - It is vey modern and comfortable The noise outside. At 4:20am (!!!!!!) some people started to cut metal and do some construction work. It happens twice during our stay. At the small roof above our room there is a pigeons nest that started making noise just after people stopped cutting metal at 5:30

Small room, tricky dealing with luggage, smelly water from the tap and shower making the whole room smell of sewage0. Realised outside that it seems to be a pbm not only affecting Westory.
• Thomas (3/5): I think I have said enough! Not for us sorry. - Not much really! Obviously had a theme but too much like a prison cell for us. No safe in room, no hot water in basin, bed was hard (very hard) breakfast had to be ordered the night before, no tea / coffee in room or even a kettle. Very drab appearance to the rooms all grey and concrete.
• Kathleen (9/5): Definitely recommend WesTory! A great value for a nice facility. - Great value. Modern facilities. Friendly staff. Good location for walking to restaurants and sights. Mattress is ultra firm (I’d say hard), but that seems to be a local preference and is not a reflection upon the hotel. Room was a little small, but we’re on an extended holiday and have 2 nights suitcases.

Hard bed, huge pillow = sore neck (but that's personal so have not rated them for that). Other's hair in the shower upon arrival. Room door failing to unlock. Noisy area. Noisy AC. Only dairy milk at the cafe/restaurant (not non-dairy options. Just saying so you know to BYO).

• Markus (8/5): Nice place to explore Kanchanaburi - Design, location and value for money are great. Food and coffee served at the restaurant/bar are great and staff very friendly. Everything was good.

The aircon in the common area and room was really a lifesaver in that heat. There was music playing in the restaurant or bar nearby. My dorm bed was next to the window and i could hear it. It wasn’t too loud but it did continue till late. It was still a comfortable accommodation and I slept like a log :-)
