It isn’t an actual Hotel, it’s more likely a chalet apartment. Which i was here on Business Purposes, i made a transfer to Radisson Blu Waterfront the very next day.

• philippe (7/5): Nice hotel - terrible front desk service for a Radisdon Blu. - Wonderful balconies, cool air-conditioning in rooms, nice food and room service, next to a safe area. The front desk was incompetent. I checked in in a good mood after a wonderful 7-day trip around Madagascar but it rapidly soured. The front desk lady who checked me in could not speak intelligible English or French. When I asked her to please explain better and speak louder (since I’m hard of hearing and the din from the restaurant right next to front desk was loud) she noticeably looked annoyed. Which annoyed me. I finally had to stop the conversation and just go to the room unhappy. The hotel itself is great with many redeeming qualities but her incompetence became even more annoying when I twice discussed with her transfer service to airport after we would check out. The first time we agreed we’d talk about the xfer the next morning since we weren’t communicating well at all. Next morning after breakfast I told her I did not need a xfer since I arranged our own. Upon checkout with my driver waiting she then informed me I had already booked a transfer charged to the hotel. This would have been nice to know or be reminded of anytime during the 20 hours we were at hotel. Instead we had to wait another 15 minutes figuring out how we could get reimbursed- we never figured it out and we’re still waiting for a refund (which I’m sure we’ll never see). She was ineffective, unfriendly, un-knowledgeable, and frankly not up to standards I expect of Radisson Blu. If I had had time and not had an airplane to catch I’d have sought out a manager and complained directly. Never heard an apology from her. Poorest service ever had at a 4-star hotel. This occurred afternoon of 4 April and morning of 5 April.

• Mona (3/5): Poor mosquito prevention compared to other hotels in Tana - Good location Unfortunately, the mosquito net in my room was broken and there were a lot of mosquitos coming in and within the premises (could not eat with short sleeves / constant swarm of mosquitos) I travel a lot to Tana and have visited a lot of different hotels - but the Tamboho should really incorporate mosquito treatment strategies like the other Radissons especially considering its proximity to the lake (spray, nets...).

• Badria (4/5): Décevant pour le prix payé - Etant cliente de ce genre d'établissement (programme de fidélité), l'accueil a été plus que satisfaisant par le personnel à la réception. Le cadre du Radisson Tamboho est beau Etant donné le coût de la chambre, j'ai été déçu par la propreté de la chambre (112), le sol sal, les WC (traces sur la cuvette, nettoyage approximatif), les draps moyennement propres, de la poussière sur les meubles. J'ai appelé la réception qui sont tout de suite venue constater l'état de la chambre. Par contre à leur venue je n'ai pas apprécié qu'un agent de la sécurité rentre dans la chambre, je lui ai donc demandé de sortir (est- ce dans votre procédure?) Pas de bouteille d'eau dans les chambres pour les clients On nous a donc changé de chambre (111) et la nous avons eu un soucis avec la douche (problème de bouton), la vue donnant sur la rue n'était top par rapport aux remarques évoqués dans la chambre précédente. Sachant que j'avais fait une surprise à mon conjoint pour son anniversaire. Il y a également beaucoup de moustique le soir au moment où on voulait se prélasser avec mon conjoint mais nous n'avons pas pu le faire, c'est dommage.

• Tiffany (10/5): Great location for a visit to Antananarivo - The room was spacious, had a great view, and was well appointed. Staff were all friendly and attentive. The location is perfect with easy access to a larger grocery store, restaurants in addition to the in house one, and various specialty stores. Enjoyed a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant and the breakfst buffet was wonderful with multiple options. It felt like a very safe location. Highly recommend. The counter in the bathroom was chipped and needed repair. Not a big issue but raises a question about overall upkeep.

Nous ne vous laisserons pas tomber. - Nous avons vécu la soirée du 25 septembre avec tout le personnel et je peux vous dire que tout le monde a été super on s’est senti soutenu et le directeur était toujours là pour nous tenir au courant de l’évolution et de prendre la bonne décision de nous transférer au Radison Blu pour nous mettre en sécurité. Quand nous étions dans une chambre au rez-de-chaussée et que nous avons tout perdu, tout a été volé ainsi que les meubles. Les Lit tout a été absolument pillé. Nous attendons un retour de l’assurance, afin de se faire rembourser nos effets personnels perdus.

Les mets sont très bons et la terrasse en bonus est agréable. La piscine est très appréciable. Le lit supplémentaire demandé et pris en compte n'a pas été mis à notre arrivée. Parfois les démarches effectuées à la réception ne sont pas mises à jour. Mais tout cela est à améliorer et vous vous êtes bien rattrapés 🙂 C'est un séjour presque parfait !

• Fran (10/5): Great place to stay. - I loved the quiet and being away from the hustle of the city. I particularly liked having a balcony and being able to look out over the lake and fields. There was supermarket and cashpoint (ATM) across the road which was really handy. There was a fridge and kettle in the room which I used a lot. The food was good. The hot water was a bit sporadic - one minute boiling then tepid. Otherwise no complaints at all.

• Eirik (4/5): Noisy stay at Tamboho. - I have stayed here many times and normally enjoy the calm garden in the midst of this busy city. This time it was very different, and the hotel should make some changes. Daytime visitors to the pool filled up the entire outdoor area during the day. They also used the private terrasse of the room and left their used towels there. Nobody came to tidy it up. In the evening, a group of young adults had some kind of party in the garden and made a lot of noise. Neither groups were guests at the hotel. The staff should have reminded both groups to consider the guests at the hotel. Nothing was done. Considering the price of a room, this hotel should keep the small internal garden for guests of the hotel only, as the rooms face the garden directly. External guests should not be there.

There was a mistake but the hotel manager fixed the mistake and she was very kind and I thank her for that The breakfast was good, but the breakfast area was open and the birds were coming in and eating the food. I advise for the sake of cleanliness and health that it be closed.

The breakfast was also very nice! Very clean , very good location , good value for money, comfortable room. No noise from other tenants or the room above. The room was huge with a comfy bed and pillows, and a good-sized ensuite. Loved it! Will definitely come back!

Even though bookings had been made quite some time in advance at the Radisson Waterfront, dividing our group was not a pleasant experience. If rooms had already been booked out, then that should have been made obvious at the time of booking.
• Ronald (8/5): - I did two pre-checks before arriving that my room would have two beds. Upon arrival there was one queen-size bed. We had to wait 40 minutes while they made up two beds. Also the air-conditioning worked poorly, and I was uncomfortably hot all night.
