The staff did everything they could to answer my questions and help me feel welcome and comfortable. Shout out to the bartender who offered to walk with me two blocks to meet up with family in the big city and the daytime concierge who helped me get ready for a family wedding, a pair of scissors, a sewing kit and some extra items to enjoy during my stay.

We love the restroom and the high-quality soaps that were provided in the shower. The room was decorated perfect the fridge and bar area were so classy. Not much to complain about, only thing is, we got there an hour after check-in and it was very busy. Our room wasn’t ready so we had to take a different option room, which was still great, but the TV would not turn on, not sure what the issue was and the record player in the room wasn’t working correctly. It might’ve needed a new needle or something.

The location is nice and the valet are some of the nicest and fastest in the downtown area. Alejandro was very responsive and nice, grabbing my car quickly at early morning hours so I could go to work on time. The front desk staff are all kind and accommodating.

Music TOO loud, The room is SOOO noisy (lots of noise from street, there are theaters and music venues near by) and the hallway has tiled floors. HUGE room, but only indirect lighting - none of the lamps over the tables worked. The TV is on a wall in a 90 degree angle to the bed... not comfy to watch TV in bed, and the chairs are torture devices , not suitable to watch TV either. Bathroom is HUGE, and has very cold tile floor, and only one bathmat ? Worst night sleep EVER. Not suitable for business travelers, unless you want to feel hip and cool... Not meeting expectations for a Renaissance branded hotel.

It was just a regular hotel with regular amenities close to downtown. Nothing about the room itself made it worth the exorbitant price. The location & the staff made it worth the price. The breakfast included was a drink and muffin/croissant from the cafe in the lobby even though there is a restaurant that serves breakfast. Definitely not worth the additional cost and a bit of a disappointment. There are cafes close walking distance where you could get a better breakfast.

Even though the room was pre-booked, I was still charged for the night and am still waiting on a response from the hotel and booking.com on a refund. I would have expected better systems in place to manage this so guests aren't charged twice. I booked my stay 19 Sep, called Renaissance 9 Oct and have still not received a reply on the 24th Oct. We didn't find the concierge knowledgeable of the area which was disappointing

The dining options were limited no free breakfast (if you’re into that) no free parking either but valet parking was offered for a very hefty fee lol. I did enjoy the ease to attractions however. I parked and rode the scooter around. All in all it was an experience.

I like the music theme and even played the records in my room on a record player. Fun throw back! It’s a high end property so it’s expensive. You pay for the name and guaranteed quality/service. - Melanie (8/5): I’ll be staying here every time I visit my daughter at SMU. Cheaper and way more stylish than the Beeman. - Thoughtfully appointed, chic, and located in the heart of downtown. Also, the room was huge! The valet staff are outstanding, even during busy times. They remembered my car and provided excellent service, even before I had cash for tipping. There’s an ATM in the lobby. Get cash and tip them well. Devonte is the best! I called down for a luggage cart before checkout and was told that there were none available. After carrying 2 boot boxes, a large suitcase, and 2 shopping bags down to valet, I checked for carts before going up for my second trip with more bags. I saw that there were indeed 5 luggage carts available. Those all clearly didn’t become available in 10 minutes. Check-in was tedious as well with the receptionist not able to find my Bonvoy membership but spending 10 minutes after I had just driven 4 hours from Houston. Our room faced the super busy street and it was loud on the weekend. I closed the drapes completely and didn’t have any problems going to sleep though.

- Kaiser_D (10/5): Hidden Delight_DvB - A last minute trip meant a rushed search of hotels. This hotel was lower priced than several properties in the same area, but had higher ratings on the brand app. I was curious since I had not heard of it, and the photos online seemed to show a thoughtfully decorated environment with many details. And yet, the price per night was very reasonable. Alejandro at the valet stand allowed me to park there while I checked in and got my luggage to the room. The young lady at check in was more efficient than many desk clerks I’ve experienced, yet still managed to inquire after my day and plans for my stay during the completion of check-in. The elevator was pretty quick to arrive; one interesting note is that during my stay only the furthest of three elevators showed up for me. No extensive waiting and no notice that the other two might be out of order, so maybe coincidence. The room was very large and broken into sections that gave an impression of more space and privacy. It seemed clean and showed many of the appreciable details I snored online. I didn’t want to offset the great deal by paying for valet parking so I parked on the street. It was maybe $12 for the two days since it was a weekend. The annoying part was adding time since the app expired every 2 hours. Checkout was comparably smooth, with a friendly young lady able to ask about my stay while completing the necessary steps. I was very pleased with the room and few interactions with hotel staff.

About 10/15 walk to the JFK Sixth Floor Museum in on direction and 10mins to the Dallas Farmers Market -both places worth a visit. Plenty of bars and food choices nearby. Deep Ellum is walkable distance as well or about $6 in a taxi. Decor wise the hotel is lovely - very 1920s esque in the entrance hall/foyer. Staff were friendly.

- 57regisr (2/5): Beautiful hotel but terrible service - Terrible communication with front desk and food and beverage staff. No consistency with the coffee lounge hours, restaurant hours, and restaurant menu. Microwave is located on the 15th floor and it was sooo dirty, along with the gross ice machine, probably not cleaned in years. Terrible check out process, the front desk agent could not answer any questions about my bill, and I was told I would be contacted by a manager. I waited weeks and they never got to back to me.
- NWA_VP (8/5): Cool Boutique Hotel in the Main Street District - Like all Renaissance hotels, this one was an older hotel that was renovated and updated. It has a small footprint, and floors have no more than 10 rooms. Rooms have an interesting layout, with one large room with beds, desk, and seating, and a separate very large bathroom. The overall style is mid-century modern, leaning towards 60s touchstones with a heavy dose of vinyl. I think every room has a record player (many also work as Bluetooth speakers), along with a few albums. There’s a large library of albums (vinyl) behind the front desk that can be checked out. Breakfast at Tiffany’s plays on a loop in the entry. I spent 10 nights there while I was in town for work, and there are good spots and bad things. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, and I’d stay there again. The staff is really great, but there are a lot fewer people working than you might expect, from how large the hotel appears to be. They use purely electronic locks, so if you have the Marriott Bonvoy app, it works great. Until the lock messes up, or the battery in the actuator dies. Had to wait 45 minutes for it to be worked on, at 9:00 at night. But, there is a very good coffee/snack bar in the lobby that is rarely busy, in the mornings. The attached restaurant and bar get very high marks. The fitness room is small, but everything works. You have to go to the 15th floor for ice, but it’s small pieces, not quite Sonic ice, but not much larger. There’s also a microwave beside the ice machine. I was also surprised to find a fridge in our room (not listed on most sites), as well as a guest laundry, I believe that was on the third floor. Many really good restaurants were within a couple of blocks. Personal favorites for our group were Namak Indian Food, Crafty Irishman Pub, and Press Box Grill, a sports bar. The pub and sports bar are both open late, which one is open later depends on the night.

- Ramie (10/5): Beautiful - Beautiful property literally the perfect location. Going to book again soon to check out the restaurant inside. Room was clean and comfy and had a record player! You could choose records as well. It was a dream really. Definitely will stay agin for my next staycation. Staff was lovely very friendly and helpful Nothing bad to say

- Meander36749459213 (10/5): Great staff that really care for their guests! - This was a great experience! Cara made us feel right at home while we were there for the SBC annual meeting. She even hosted events at the hotel with convention guests in mind! We were so thankful for her hospitality.

- uo332 (2/5): Frustrating experience with management - We were very disappointed in our stay here. Had toilet water dripping from the ceiling one night and pinging noises from another leak the next. Management forgot to comp us for the toilet leak issue and then gave points when we had paid cash for the room. They told us to call corporate if we wanted a cash refund and corporate told us to talk to the hotel. Overall an unsanitary and frustrating experience that still doesn’t feel resolved.

- Wynetta (1/5): ‼️OUR VEHICLE WAS STOLEN FROM THE PROPERTY ‼️ - I didn’t like anything about the property. Upon arrival, I felt a bit uneasy but I didn’t know why. Our truck was stolen from the parking lot, and unfortunately, the staff was unhelpful in assisting us with notifying the authorities. Their lack of reaction to the incident was concerning, as they refused to review the camera footage. We were informed that only the manager could access the footage to provide it to the police, and that would not occur until Monday. This theft happened on Good Friday, and we had not even been at the hotel for a full day. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, as it is evident that vehicles are not secure on their premises.
- Kelsey (7/5): Good - I liked the way the hotel was styled- it was a mix of modern and art deco. I liked the record players in every room- so unique. The room itself was nice, although dark and not a lot of natural sunlight. I also prefer when there is a proper bathroom door instead of a sliding door. It was a bit pricey and breakfast was not included.
