Ook goede fiets/tour mogelijkheden en vlakbij de Ardennen of zelfs een stedentrip Aken/Maastricht/Luik. Restaurant is prima. Overnachting was op een dinsdag. Dus vrij stil in het restaurant, onterecht overigens.

The breakfast spread was big and delicious. The staff was also super nice. Nothing. The rooms were pretty basic nothing fancy but had everything that you would need for a 1 night stay
• A.M.P. (9/5): Rustig en rustiek hotel - Lekker rustige omgeving. Kamer 24 achterzijde was groot en heel rustig. Vriendelijke gastheren. Ontbijt was goed. Mooi uitgangspunt voor wandelen en fietsen. Er is ook een restaurant vanaf 18.30 uur Trap is hoog en kan voor sommige mensen lastig zijn.
• Annick (7/5): Fijn verblijft - Ruime kamer, ontbijt was ok, personeel spreekt Nederlands Vreemde ontvangst. Geen begroeting, direct kregen we een opmerking dat we we te vroeg waren (dat wisten we wel maar soms is het wel mogelijk om vroeger in te checken). We hebben daar geen probleem van gemaakt. Als we s avonds terugkwamen, kregen we opmerking dat we te laat waren. Nochtans volgens booking.com konden we inchecken tot 23h. Voor de rest wel vriendelijk.

• Ray (8/5): Good hotel close to the Vennbahn cycle route. - A nice hotel conveniently located close to the Vennbahn cycle route. The owner was very friendly and there was secure storage for our bicycles. The food served in the restaurant was very good and the breakfast was ok too. It would have been nice to have been able to make a cup of tea/coffee in the room.
• F.C (7/5): prima - Verbleven een nacht als onderdeel van het fietsen van de Vennbahn. De heer die ons incheckte (ervan uitgaande dat het oom was) , was erg aardig en gastvrij. Helaas was de kok op vakantie en moeten we zoeken naar een restaurant. Mooie grote kamer, zeer schoon, geen koelkast, ventilator in de kamer die was leuk als vrij warm, maar kon slapen met ramen open en een zeer rustige omgeving, bed was comfortabel en kussens goed. • Pierre (8/5): Agréable et bon marché. - La chambre est très spacieuse et bien équipée bureau, fauteuils, divan. Il y fait très calme la nuit. Le jour, on entend l'école assez proche, sans que ce soit gênant du tout. Nos hôtes sont prévenants, attentifs, disponibles et souriants. Le parking a toujours été disponible en face même de l'hôtel. WI-FI gratuit. A deux reprises sur le séjour, nous nous sommes retrouvés sans eau chaude dans la douche.. Et maque de chance, le restaurant était fermé. Nous avons seulement pu bénéficier des petits déjeuners.

• elisa (6/5): Soggiorno con imprevisto con Booking mal gestito - La stanza riservataci era molto ampia e pulita. C'è la possibilità di parcheggiare le bici in un garage dedicato e sicuro. La colazione è stata piacevole. - La vista dalla camera da letto e la mancanza del frigo in stanza. - La gestione dell'imprevisto avuto con booking rispetto al pagamento che a noi risultava già saldato ma non lo stesso alla struttura: all'inizio il figlio del proprietario, che ci ha chiesto il pagamento in loco per poi dirci di chiedere il rimborso a booking, ha detto che il POS non era funzionante, solo in seguito alla telefonata al servizio clienti di Booking, richiesta espressamente da noi per risolvere insieme il problema, il POS è ritornato improvvisamente disponibile.

• Francesca (8/5): Very good - The hotel is run by a family, and the owners were very friendly. The breakfast was a nice Continental spread and had everything we could want. The beds were comfortable and our room was very spacious compared to many hotels we've stayed in, and nice and quiet! The room we stayed in was a bit dated (but very clean and comfortable). We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious, but very expensive (unexpectedly so).
• RitaS900 (8/5): Decent stop for one night. - Stayed one night as part of a 5 week touring holiday on the penultimate day of our trip. The gentleman who checked us in (assuming it was uncle), was very nice and welcoming and spoke some English which we very much appreciated but I think his forte in languages was German and Italian. No elevator so if you don’t want to tackle any stairs you need to make the request for a lower level room, we were on the top floor which we had requested. Nice large room, very clean, no fridge, fan in the room which was nice as quite warm but could sleep with windows open and a very quiet area, bed was comfortable and pillows good. Parking available at the front of the hotel for free, secure parking (gate locked at night) at the back of the hotel and also garage parking. Nice dining room with cotton table clothes and candles, small menu but good options and small but decent wine list. Hubby had a starter and we both had a main which was good home cooked food, not fancy and large portions. Breakfast was the usual fare. Would recommend for a one night stay if passing.

• Xi (10/5): very good choice to stay and eat there for vacations - it is a not big but very cozy hotel. it also has a great restaurant. you could eat there and I must say it is worthy to do so, by just letting the host know your reservation. the food are very fresh and they are prepared very nicely with quality. the rooms are quite big and have enough good and clean facilities, which are in good condition. the breakfast is served by the hotel and had a good quality. in summer time you could sit outside to enjoy the cool air. the host hold a very high standards for service and makes the guest’s feel comfortable. and the family is very friendly. they provide English, French and German language service. it is next to the exit of E40(E44) and easy to find. very suitable for a few days’ stay to discover the neighborhood like Eifel national park or Monschau and of course Aachen. I would like to stay still here next time. attached is the delicious food they provided, very tasty!!! na

• Jeffrey (8/5): nice small town hotel. - nice well run hotel with sorta small rooms but they were still OK for the reasonable price. the dinning room food was very good , but it also was the most expensive dinner that we had in our three week tour of the Low Countries. a very small pour of wine was billed to us at 7.50 E which seemed a little out of place. most of our dinners elsewhere ran about 75.00 E with tip and this meal ran about 95.00E.
• Tahsha (9/5): A real gem in a small town! - The hotel is wonderful. We spent 3 nights in Raeren for a festival in Eupen. For a small town I wasn't sure what to expect but the room was huge! I love the wood floors. The bathroom is very spacious. The host even offered to make food for us even though the restaurant was closed for a couple weeks. The courtyard in the back is very charming. You need to ask for the wifi password-- the room has a phone so you can call the office, restaurant & bar from the quick dial. I would say the only downside is the location being remote if you don't have a car, but the hotel is still accessible by bus from Aachen and Eupen (722) & limited on the 14. We did kind of wish we had a mini fridge but the room was so nice it isn't a big deal.

If I could talk/speak "normally" (I m suffering from a disease that makes it hard for me to talk/speak) I would have called... never the less "shame on you uncle"....
