- Stephen (8/5): - Older property but very tidy and clean. Was right in the middle of town and had very helpful owners. When coming out of the driveway at night we saw Kangaroo’s munching on the grass which was awesome! One major complaint though was that the wifi didn’t quite reach our room, so we didn’t have any wifi for our stay.
- AlbanyRick (8/5): Wonderful week's stay in a very central location - We stayed here for a week, and were very pleased with what Kyra and Mark offer guests who stay here. We had a single bedroom unit, but units with two bedrooms are also available. While the facilities aren't new or modern, they are comfortable and clean, and we had ample space. The location is excellent, since it's only a short walk to the center of town, and located on the main road so it's an easy drive to all the attractions in the area. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated our stay here, and would definitely consider returning.

- Michael (8/5): - Excellent family apartment. Well appointed and spacious with every appliance / kitchen accessories available. Very clean and tidy. There's not much to do in Augusta in early spring: but it is a haven for rest. The river tour, and visit to the lighthouse were well worth doing. The colour patch restaurant is excellent with a beautiful location overlooking the estuary and the food is good too. Opening hours rather ideosyncratic so check before you go.

The beds were super comfy and the bbq area outside our apartment was perfect. Lots of lovely beaches nearby to watch the whales, dolphins and surfers.

- Jabba812 (10/5): Escape to Augusta and stay at Augusta Escape! - Augusta Escape is the best! Mark and Kyra really present awesome and well priced accommodation. Clean, plenty of facilities for a self contained holiday. Walking distance to everything in town....pub, shops, cafes, bakery. Off road parking, outdoor area for summer drinks on a balmy night! Mark even helped me with car repair! Diagnosed and fixed! I have been staying here every year for decades, and will certainly continue to do so. If 6 star review was available, they would get 6 stars! Can't recommend highly enough.

- Joanne (10/5): A hidden Gem! - Absolutely loved our 2 days here at Augusta Escapes. We had a 2 bedroom apartment #2, freshly painted and renovated really nicely, older style unit but perfectly clean and comfortable for 4 adults. Had everything we needed in the kitchen, a full litre of milk in the fridge, thank you, no one has been that generous in our 21 days of holidays in WA. Kyra had such great communication with informative emails about local shops in the area(IGA, Pub, Take Away and more all in walking distance) and things to do and see. Loved the herb gardens and I did cut fresh shallots, mint and parsley to our dinner. Talked to both Kyra and Mark they're both lovely and I would definitely stay here again!! Thank you guys!! Absolutely value for money with old-fashioned hospitality, well done!!

- Roy (4/5): - On first impressions the place was nice but after a good look round the place was not very clean, the extractor fan in the bathroom was covered in fluff and the clock radio in the bedroom was covered in dust.The kitchen units could do with being replaced.Strangely with the owners living on site they never came to see if everything was ok, the wi-fi connection was good though.

Plenty of shampoo, conditioner and soap to wash off trail dirt. Plenty of space to spread out camping gear. Super location- walking distance to restaurants, bakery, grocery store and the bus stop to catch bus back to Perth. Many thanks to Kyra and Mark for helpful information. - hopepest (10/5): Home away from home - There's pretty much nothing more I could ask for. Unit 4 had a living area with a TV, sofa, dining table with 4 chairs. Kitchenette with a refrigerator, oven, stove, pots, pans, utensils, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, salt, pepper, dishwashing liquid, tea towels. There might have been a microwave, I can't be sure cos we don't use them. Toilet has a decent shower, soap, shampoo. Bedroom comes with a queen bed and double decker bed (if you are travelling as four they will probably provide towels for 4). I don't advise fitting 4 adults here, but a family with 2 adults and 2 children would do fine. Or 2 quarreling adults who won't share a bed. Owners are warm and friendly, they even left reading material (and personal notes) on places of interest in, and around Augusta. If you manage to catch them for a chat they'll be able to share even more.

- THFC_Detty (10/5): Our awesome weekend staycation - We arrived down from Mandurah at approximately 1700 on the Friday night to a very warm welcome from Kyra and Mark, the room was an older style unit but very comfortable and spacious, all the creature comforts of home. - 641BobE (10/5): Not all accommodation providers are the same, this one is exceptional. - Writing this review from firsthand experience and also on behalf of my sister and brother-in-law who recently stayed at the Augusta Escape Units. While unloading the car after arriving at Augusta from Fremantle my brother-in-law could not find the car keys. After spending fruitless hours trying to find them hosts Mark and Kyla kindly offered to assist and were successful in locating the keys that had fallen under the spare tyre in the spare tyre well. Mark and Kyla spent a lot of time in the search and my sister and brother-in-law were very appreciative of their assistance. By their actions Mark and Kyla demonstrated just how caring some accommodation providers are. We have stayed at Augusta Escape on a number of occasions and keep returning as the location is excellent, the units are clean and comfortable, the tariff is good value, have everything we need to self-cater and the hosts are outstanding. Highly recommend Augusta Escape next time you are considering staying in Augusta.

- Rgjde (8/5): Great Value - We recently spent 4 nights in a one bedroom apartment. The unit was spacious and very clean. The queen size bed was super comfortable and had quality linen and plenty of bedding for a cold night. The kitchen had everything you would need if you prefer self catering. Kyra and Mark are great hosts and helpful with any inquiries. I highly recommend Augusta Escape as great value accommodation in this area. We found the best deal by booking directly with the owners.

Due to other stressors occurring in my life at the time I could not remember where I booked. I could not phone and I did not receive a phone call from the place. Hence I did not arrive and was then charged the full 3days booking. It would be better in the future to allow the place to have the details of the booking person so they could be contacted. Then only charge on day non attendance. I'm sure they would have had opportunity to rebook the room. Thank you Julie

- Lori (10/5): Very Comfortable in Augusta - It was a very clean, 2 bedroom unit- nice linens, comfortable beds. The owner was very nice and even let us pick some fresh tomatoes and cucumbers from her garden. Would definitely stay here again. There were a couple of places within easy walking distance to eat ( including the Hungry Pelican - very good and reasonably priced) and a liquor store across the street.

Host stay in same compound . Do drive or walk down to the blackwood river and feel the peace and tranquility. Not forget to have breakfast at augusta bakery and have dinner at the Blue ocean fish and chips. Do also take note the supermarket IGA close at 6pm. Another attraction near by is the Cape lighthhouse just 10 min drive from Augusta escape where u will see the 2 ocean meet

Having the bathroom right off the kitchen, with the toilet, mirrors, shower and laundry all in the same room makes it hard two people getting ready, much less the 6 the room would be able to accommodate according to the bed space. That said, there is nothing the owners can do about the set up at this point, and what they can do, they do very well. I would absolutely stay here again as long as I didn’t have a lot of people in the same room.
- 182elishac (10/5): Home away from home - Spent a night in Augusta before heading down to Margaret River. Kyra, the host, along with her husband were really friendly and hospitable. They gave us great tips on where to go and even the opening hours of the local IGA (grocery store) as we arrived in the evening. The house we rented was spacious and very clean. The beds were so comfortable! Glad to have found such a cosy place to stay in.
- Christian (10/5): Great accommodation for family and groups. - Mark & Kyra are very friendly and courteous. Providing direction to nearby amenities. They have everything we needed in the self-contained accommodation. Will definitely stay again.
