Kasperi (9/5): - Great location next to railway station. Facilities were clean. The room I booked was facing the inner courtyard so the room was silent. Even though the single room didn't have a toilet it did have a basin. I enjoyed the conversations with volunteers Daisy and Maribel =) Soundproofing inside the hostel itself could be better, but this wasn't a major issue during my stay. Luggage storage was not a locked room like in some other hostels, but rather in the reception area (access to the hostel is not free though). Also the room was pretty expensive, but hey it's Rome.
Lucia (7/5): No volvería - Lo único positivo la ubicación a dos cuadras de la estación de tren Los baños incómodos, sin ninguna espacio para colgar nada mientras uno se baña. Había unas alfombras de baño sucias y viejas. Un baño un día estaba lleno de pintura y polvillo como que hubo un arreglo y nadie limpió. Es un lugar que le falta infraestructura en habitaciones y baño. Incluso al llegar te avisan no usar mucho el agua caliente porque tarda media hora en calentarse. Al llegar la recepcionista vivía haciendo hincapié en que todo era sensible, fácil de romperse. Desde los lockers hasta las cañerías de la cocina. No volvería.

Andress (10/5): The hostel for people who don't usually like hostels - A true nomadic community near Termini! We originally booked The Beehive for its proximity to the Termini train station, but we got so much more than just a convenient location. The hosts clearly value community; even though we were only there for one night, we were added to a WhatsApp thread for daily activities and meetups, which was such a thoughtful touch. The facilities are extensive and full of character (almost labyrinthine in the best way!). Our room had a cute balcony, and we loved having access to nearby coffee bars. The common areas were clean, inviting, and clearly designed with care. Plus, the flexible check-in/out and free luggage storage made our quick trip through Rome incredibly stress-free. Highly recommended! As an Oasis fan, I was a bit miffed to see a sign in the common room that read “this is a Wonderwall-free” zone 😂 (though I can completely understand!)

The staff was very helpful with check-in, they were able to accommodate me arriving early which was wonderful after an overnight flight. They offer happy hours and walking tours, and suggestions nearby when you check in. Bed and showers are comfortable. Felt safe as a solo female traveler.

Lisa L (8/5): Great hostel for solo female travelers - Great communication prior to arriving. Very helpful with instructions for getting from airport to hostel. Lovely that there was an evening Christmas dinner organised. Unfortunately I had prebooked a cooking class. Had I not done this, I definitely would have been keen for Christmas dinner. Room was nice and warm. Great to have a shared kitchen. Nice to connect with other solo travellers. Felt it was overpriced for a hostel.

Anubhuti (9/5): Comfortable Stay. Good value for money. Very close to Roma Termini. Will stay again. - I really liked my stay here as it's a 5 mins walk from the Roma Termini train station. This made it every easy for me as I had to catch a train to Florence the next day. The staff was really friendly- especially Linda who was really kind enough to help out my friend also in keep her luggage at the reception for a few hours as we couldn't find any other place to keep. It was definitely not something that every hostel does, but Linda made an exception to help out my friend. The rooms are spacious with a small balcony. I only stayed a night but would definitely stay again if visiting central Rome. The entire hostel has a nice vibe with a garden seating for some drinks in the evening. I think there isn't anything that I didn't like. The girls dorm had a separate entrance and different from the main hostel but it didn't cause any issues. There was a kitchen and two bathrooms/ toilets on our floor.

On my booking receipt the city fee was listed as 3.5 euro but once I got there the staff claimed I need to pay 5 euro. They claimed because it was a female dorm suite. If that's the case, the booking information needs to line up, otherwise it breeds mistrust

Katie (10/5): Great Stay - The room was great and the bed was so comfy, having a little balcony was also a bonus. the staff were so kind and offered different social events which is always so nice as a solo traveller , i didn’t end up attending any because i was so busy with my own itinerary but some people i spoke to in my room were telling me how great they are. The only negative thing i would be able to say is that because it’s close to the station the surrounding area was a little sketchy for me as a solo female but the location was equally amazing and handy for getting around so worth it

Robert (10/5): - Beautiful 1930s building super close to Termini. Owner does an incredible job making you feel welcome and comfortable. Really fostering a bit of community there too. Was an absolute delight to stay there.
Kerrie (10/5): - location walking distance from Termini station. Supermarket near by. Staff were amazing. So helpful. I was able to leave my luggage a Safely after checking out. Little court yard was great to chill. I stayed for 2 nights before moving to a hotel. I wish I could have stayed here for my whole trip. I had a single room, spacious with a sink and aircon and fan. Walls were thin, but everyone was respectful and had a great nights sleep. Bed was comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and showers good. Especially for shared bathrooms. Would definitely stay again.

Daniel (8/5): - Great value for money and very helpful staff. It was a bit noisy inside with the security door constantly slammed by room neighbours who did not care to respect the silent hours code. Definitely well located near the Roma Termini. The room was actually quite large for Italy standards.

Lovely outdoor area where we had drinks in the evening. Staff were lovely. Room was really nice. Plenty of bathroom space & very clean. Nice kitchen (although we only used it to make coffee). Would definitely stay here again.

Bea (10/5): - This is a great place to stay if you’re a young solo traveler, with a happy hour option where you can meet fellow travelers. Super convenient to Rome Termini, with an option for Private rooms/bath or shared rooms/bath. The staff is super helpful. Although the neighborhood around the train is not the best, I had a great dinner right next to my entrance to the beehive.

Robbie (10/5): - The Beehive is a perfect affordable hostel for a week long trip. The location is great being next to Termini station and there are some nice shops, restaurants and cafés surrounding it. The building itself is secure and clean with well furbished rooms, a community kitchen and lounge and though it does have shared bathrooms one was always available when I needed it. Best of all, even after checking out they let me leave my luggage there for the day since I had an evening flight and due to their security I didnt need to worry about my bags being stolen while I was out. If I'm ever back in Rome, I'll be booking here again.
