• Sheila (2/5): I would not recommend this apartment, the attitude of the letting staff was appalling. - Location Group of four friends away for 3 days. After a 5 hour walk on our first full day arrived at Footprints to find no water whatsoever. Phoned the letting agent but it was after 5pm and they hadn’t switched the phone line to ‘out of hours’ so I couldn’t access their emergency phone line. Tried 5 times without getting anywhere, also phoned Booking.Com who also tried but they also couldn’t contact anyone. We felt abandoned by the agent and four very hot and tired people were desperate to use toilets and showers. After sometime we managed to locate a fuse box outside the property and found a fuse had tripped the water pump off. It took 16 hours for the agent to contact me in response to my desperate messages. I then felt the assistant was both rude and aggressive in her manner. The information supplied in Footprints is totally inadequate, consisting of a notice board in the bathroom with some QR codes. The information on how to operate appliances is scanty and incorrect. No where does it mention what to do if the water fails or how to locate the fuse box. I also found mention on Tripadvisor that the water in the tap was not for drinking. I managed to spot a small sticker under a cupboard informing us of this but not before we had drunk the water for 2 days! It would had made more sense to put the sticker by the taps and to have supplied some bottled water on our arrival. Although on first viewing Footprints looks a lovely apartment you should be made aware that the en-suite bathroom has no door and consists only of a partitioned area (which does not reach ceiling height) giving no privacy in terms of noise or odours. Also there is no soundproofing between the two bedrooms making every snore noticeable to everyone except the culprit!
• pilar (10/5): Incredible - The views, the room, the bed, the showers, the overall feel The sign that you can’t drink the water from the tap needs to be much much bigger and communicated directly- this is an important point and it must be communicated clearly and directly. No exception. And perhaps this needs to be fixed. Not really right considering the type of rental this is and to not be able to safely drink the water.

• Julie (9/5): Beautiful property. - Beautiful property on the coastline. We have stayed in Footprints 1 before and the apartment quality and layout is identical. However, the view isn’t as good from Footprints 2 and is obstructed by trees. For this reason I would only stay in Footprints 1.

• Louisa (10/5): Lovely location. Good space. - Great location, very close to the beach. Lovely big windows brought the outside in. Building site next door might be an annoyance if work is active while you stay. Nothing happening while we were there.

Obviously noise from early morning to the afternoon. The cost of the accommodation should be looked at while this is happening!

The ensuite bathroom was a bit open to the bedroom and it was very light during the night with the full length of the building windows. But the windows during the daytime gave a feeling of more space.

• Margaret (10/5): Booked two nights, stayed three because we loved it - Very modern, beautiful view, easy walk to the beach and easy access to the Freycinet Peninsula park. A few trees blocked some of the view, but not much can be done about that Insuppose.

The fact that there was a construction site next door with noise from 7am-3.30pm was very disappointing. Would have liked heads up on that when booking. Also wasn’t aware of no drinking water unless you boil the water, which was a bit of a pain. The deck could have done with have an out door setting to sit out for breakfast before the workmen turned up.

A couple of comfortable chairs would have made relaxing on the deck perfect. Nothing to sit or relax on there. Same for beach towels or blanket, would be appreciated.

Really comfortable with 2 very comfy sofas, fantastic beds and good a/c and heating - we needed both in our short stay. Very well equipped kitchen and nice touches like boardgames and DVDs. Tap water is rainwater and there is a TINY sign, not next to the tap, to tell you to boil before drinking. Did not see until we had been there over 24 hours. Cleaner was still there when we arrived and was unnecessarily difficult.

• David (10/5): Exceptional - This was an incredible holiday home, outfitted with everything we needed and more. The location was AMAZING, very private but right on the beach. Having a BBQ on the back deck looking out to the sea was just perfection. Nothing important.

The apartment is lovely and has everything we needed to cook meals and to relax. A short distance to the beach . Bed in the master bedroom was a little soft for our liking but it is a personal taste. Nothing to complain about.

• Rosemary (10/5): Fabulous! Great April weather, only 1 day of wind & rain plus 2 Aurora shows :) perfect location with easy access to - Located right on the beach accessible by small track. Very private! Nice afternoon sun to warm the house, possibly not ideal in summer but perfect the rest of year, there are blinds. Now has a Nespresso machine with plenty of pods supplied :) kitchen has a good selection of utensils, sandwich press, microwave, half size dishwasher. Well maintained by Freycinet Holiday Homes, last stayed 5 ½ years ago so were happy to see it was in great shape with everything working as expected. And…perfect spot to set up for Aurora photos which was the goal! Nothing to mention, a bit more kitchen bench space for those who want to cook up a storm!

A really tranquil stay at a beachfront location in Freycinet! Though dining options are limited in the vicinity, there are two convenience stores nearby which you could use to stock up on some food ingredients to whip up a quick meal!

The main bed was hard, probably too old and we were both stiff and aching after two nights. It's common to have a pod coffee machine at that price point. Just the one packet of roast and ground for one cup each.

Couch and main bed were ultra comfortable. Not anything I didn't like per say. The shower head in the ensuite was a little disappointing for such a spacious shower. Path to beach was very overgrown but manageable.
