- Richard (10/5): - We loved the cube-style apartment we stayed in at the Oak Tree. It was clean and very quiet since it was self-contained. Parking was convenient in the back right in front of the cube.The young lady in reception was friendly and very helpful. The area is absolutely beautiful. Wish we had more time to explore the Loch. We had an excellent dinner though service was a bit spotty because I felt they were understaffed. Would highly recommend this Inn.

- Karen (10/5): - Had a two night stay in a Superior Pod that was larger and more comfortable than many UK hotel rooms. Brand new, very clean. If you're looking for a quiet escape, you can’t do better. Loch views just a short walk, and right by the national park entrance. Lovely pub, restaurant, and coffee shop on the grounds, meals and baking are fantastic. Be forewarned there is very little public transport in the area, plan ahead or you'll have to hitch a ride.
- Jeffrey (4/5): - Very basic room with basic amenities for the price! Bed was not comfortable and the pillows were old and thin. One step above camping for the standard room. Surprisingly the staff was not very friendly or hospitable, which was not the case in the other hotels we stayed at. The food and beverages in the restaurant were excellent and the wait staff was nice. The staff in the store next door was super friendly however. Great store! Highly recommend the store and restaurant.

The water would alternate between very cold water and scalding hot water within a few seconds of eachother. The water pressure is very weak but that seems to be the norm in Scotland. I had dinner (fish and chips)at the adoining restaurant and enjoyed the service and the food despite having read some negative comments.

Only downside was all orders from the bar are made from downloading QR code off table, took too long for us to figure out and actually make an order, then waited ages for drinks.

- Andrew (10/5): 1 night stay - pod - Booked a short notice overnight stay in one of the upgraded pods. It was very nice with a very nice location. It was really quiet and peaceful. We booked dinner in the restaurant and the staff wee attentive, accomodating and very polite. The food choice wasnt huge but the quality of the food was good. It was a little pricey for what it was but you are paying tourist hotel prices. Overall we had a lovely time and would consider booking one of the larger cottages for a family event in the future.

- Courtney (2/5): - The photos of the rooms were misleading. Paper thin walls. We booked the deluxe double room, which according to photos, had a fireplace and balcony. We did not have either of those although we did have a window looking into the lake and a storage yard of some sort on the next property. We had made a booking for dinner weeks before and they had tried to seat us in a table crammed in front of the main door of a family room, fortunately we asked for a better table and they found us a much nicer area to sit in the pub which was part of the appeal of this hotel in the first place. Not a great experience when hospitality isn't a given. I would choose to stay elsewhere if I were visiting again.

The staff were kind and super helpful, and the location is fantastic for hiking Conic Hill! The food was also scrumptious. All in all a great retreat in Loch Lomond. We would book again.

- CHUNG HANG (8/5): Good Quality Room. Too Expensive For What You Get - Check in was nice and easy with clear directions to the room in another building. I think the building was called Loch Say. The room was one floor up and likely a converted attic. Bed was comfortable and, shower nice and clean with all amenities expected. The steep sided roof was annoying and other than the bed, there was no furnishing. We literally sat on the floor to watch TV and make tea/coffee. Location wise, the hotel is centrally located, directly opposite Conic Hill Car Park and where a shop and cafe are located.

The second night of our stay we were celebrating my patners 70th birthday with 8 other friends, we were refused any more drink served to us as we were too loud! If we had been asked to tone it down then we would have, it was a birthday! The way the staff went about it was upsetting and embarrassing that took the shine off our weekend. Apart from that we did enjoy our stay.

- olivia (10/5): An amazing village! Will be returning. - The Oak Tree Inn was easily signposted and welcoming upon arrival. We were a little early for check-in but were shown where to park the car and get food. We stayed in a twin room in one of the cottages just down the road from the main reception site and restaurant. The room was clean and warm! Ate in the onsite restaurant both nights good was great and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and helped with directions to places to explore. I would recommend the 'Devil's Pulpit' if you're up for a climb down into the gorge. Also, the Loch ferry across to the village of Luss is great for seeing more of the Loch. Balmaha is a beautiful village and we will definitely be returning on our next Scotland trip.

- Bee-Lee (10/5): - I could rave about how friendly and accomodating the team who runs this B&B is (it's a family business), and how amazing the restaurant was in terms of delicious food options. I thought my cabin was just nice for me, and totally warm and comfortable. My favourite feature: Beautiful Location for views, hiking, attractions, everything! I walked across the street to hike Conic Hill (visitor center right there too), and also walked along the West Highland way from Tom Weir statue loch-side towards the next town, it was lovely. I especially loved the Mocha Cafe and grocery store next door for treats and supplies, everything was within walking distance and super convenient!

- Rod (2/5): - Disgraceful and appalling, an absolute blight on Scottish tourism. Booked and paid for a deluxe room which all website photos show as large spacious rooms with separate lounge sitting areas fireplace and balcony with seating. Ended up in a small room 1/3 the size and a smaller uncomfortable bed, no room for our suitcases which we left in the car. Staff assured us restaurant was safe for coeliacs which it is definitely not as it's own menu and other reviews attest to. AVOID!

The bedding was clean however the pillow cases were well worn with holes. Bathroom was not particularly clean and there was no storage or any place to put bags. Umbrellas were a nice touch as required, for walking too and from reception or restaurant.. Would definitely recommend.👍👍
- Sue (8/5): Great stop Day 1 of West Highland walk - Great stop at the end of Day 1 walking the west Highland Way . The room was a little on the small side with virtually no storage places and only a shower not a bath (that would have been perfect). Very clean with tea and coffee facilities. The restaurant was part of the pub which was very busy and was mostly pub food. Staff were very friendly. Only wish there was somewhere for residents to go and relax - ie a few sofas - as we had to sit in the noisy restaurant all evening with all the other pub goers. Great cafe and shop on site to get bits for the next day too. Would book again .

Unable to review the hotel room, however, as we couldn't find our Expedia booking in the preceding days before our arrival. As the payment was not made in advance, we thought we'd failed to complete our booking.
- Paul (8/5): Popular place to stay. - The pod looks fairly new. You can park right outside. Shower was strong and hot apart from the shower cubicle is on the small side. Double bed is comfortable with clean bedding. Once you put the heating on the pod becomes warm. Two down sides, there was no remote for the TV and I couldn't get the WiFi to connect. But once I went to reception and connected it worked fine. The hotel it self is great, good food, nice bar. Also very busy clearly a popular hotel. Really good coffee in the coffee shop.
- Sue (8/5): - The property is across the street from a hiking park and that made the 2 place's to eat hard to get into. The price for breakfast in the main dinning is not worth it. The coffee shop is a better value. In the main dinning it says they have a bar but they don't. You can order drinks that are on the menu but the staff will not make anything that is not on the menu for drinks even when you explain how to make it with the ingredients they have. The housekeeper was very nice and helpful. The place could do with some maintenance but was clean.
- P (8/5): - Accommodation is in rooms in various buildings around the village. Everything was comfortable but very expensive.

- Cristina (10/5): - This place is a hidden gem. The dining area and pub decor is great. The hotel room, which was a cottage was very clean, the bed was comfortable. I would definitely go back!

- Natasha (10/5): Don’t think twice! Just book it! - We were not ready for the cuteness overload! This hotel is so special, my husband I didn’t want to leave! Lake Lomond has truly imprinted on our hearts! Clean, quiet, friendly staff, a wonderful restaurant on site, a delicious coffee shop next door as well as a gift shop, and it’s pet friendly! What more can you ask for? Don’t think twice about booking this location! Oh, and the views from room 81 are spectacular!

- Brian (6/5): Tired and price too high for what’s offered - The Oak Tree was a disappointment. Not as presented in their photographs. Rooms are tired and in need of updating. Food in the restaurant was good but surroundings very rustic. In my view expensive for what was on offer.

- Susan (10/5): Lovely Six Night Stay in July - We loved our stay here. Our superior pod had everything we needed and the little patio with the view of the Loch was just perfect. Good mattress and plenty of hot water - the most important things for me. The hotel and cottages were beautiful. Might try out the cottages next time! Reception staff were delightful. Friendly and welcoming. We had dinner our first night and it was terrific. This was our first time having haggis and I think it spoiled us! The Cullen Skink and Sticky Toffee Pudding were also great. Lovely whisky flight also
- stephen (6/5): Lovely room but... - It's a difficult review. The staff are great,the food is great and the rooms are very nice and clean.however,we were in Dan's cottage room on the lower level. The soundproofing is unfortunately non existent. We could hear and feel every footstep above,every toilet flush,every hairdryer and every muffled conversation. It's a shame as the room,hotel and balmaha are lovely.
