- Jessie (8/5): - The hotel is in a very convenient location close to the downtown area, which makes it easy to explore the city on foot, and it was that on site parking was available and free. The rooms are modern looking, but we found the bed terribly uncomfortable, as did our friends in another room. The leg was coming off one of the armchairs in our room, so we only had the use of one chair. The glasses that were provided with mugs and such for tea and coffee were not clean, and the garbage in our friends' room hadn't even been emptied before they checked in (at 5 p.m.). Check-in was easy enough - we had to go in to the bar and everything was ready for us. When we asked the person at the bar for suggestions for a dinner restaurant, we were told to just go downtown and find something -- not very helpful. In terms of comfort, cleanliness and service, I can't say that I would highly recommend The Crown Court Hotel.

- Angela (6/5): - When I booked this hotel the main amenity I was seeking was an on-premises bar and restaurant. Apparently at some point between my reservation and our trip the restaurant closed. This was highly which disappointing because it’s a bit of walk to the main city center. There are a few restaurants within a couple blocks but there hours of operation weren’t great either not opening until 7:30 and in some cases 9:00 a.m. We had two 8:00 am tours so it was really inconvenient that we couldn’t even get a continental breakfast. The “hotel” is basically a multi-unit Airbnb. Okay, but not what we expected. The room was spacious, quiet and clean.

- Eric (10/5): Crown Jewel - This is a wonderful boutique hotel in the Crown area upper part of Inverness. A short walk to the main hub yet far enough away from the noise of the down town! A short 10 minute walk to shopping, restaurants, train station etc. beautiful historic building on the outside and modern in the inside! Very spacious room with seating and lovely bath.
- Catalina (10/5): - Place was fine. A little further out that what I expected from the train station. Staff was very nice, and they held our luggage for an extra two days while we took a two day tour.
- Aislinn (6/5): - Property was nicely renovated, our room still needed the bathroom done however and was a bit musty. There was little to no water pressure for the shower, depending what others in the hotel were doing as we were on the top floor. Otherwise, good value for money and very convenient location and easy parking.
- Jane (10/5): - Lovely building in a quiet area but easily walkable to the town centre. There’s a car park right at the hotel. Check in was in the bar area, which was fine, there’s no lift but there’s only a couple of floors anyway. No breakfast but we were already aware and happy to eat elsewhere. Room and en-suite were nice, room had a fridge which was great! We had plenty of towels. Only drawbacks were, bed was a bit creaky, and the bathroom could have done with a little shelf or worktop to set toiletries on. Also we only had the one toilet roll; as there’s no staff on reception and it wasn’t an emergency to warrant phoning about, late at night I had to pilfer one from the women’s toilets downstairs. Otherwise though, a great and peaceful stay!

I was worried about water issues from other reviews but I had nothing but the nicest hottest showers with excellent water pressure. We enjoyed the history behind the building and all its quirks and charm.

The sofa had stains and was dirty and the carpet could use a cleaning. The wallpaper was also tattered on the wall opposite the windows. Probably would NOT stay here again… The young lady at the Bar was nice but POORLY trained.

- DEREK (6/5): A place to sleep - Walkable to downtown and a few close places to eat. The reception is never manned. The restaurant was always closed. The bar was closed. You get a room and nothing more.
- B (6/5): - Very pleasant and helpful staff. They went out if there way to accommodate us. Beds and pillows were comfy. The room was clean and housekeeping staff were responsive. Location: Perfectly situated and extremely easy to walk or drive anywhere. Nearby restaurant/pub, some shops and cafes are a few minutes away. Sadly, the hotel is in need of some plumbing maintenance. Water pressure fluctuated greatly from zero to 10. Usually when you were in the shower when the water would literally turn off.

Simple and spotlessly clean, moderate space, good price, nice host -Tarrick, toilet slow to fill, strangest looking taps. Bed sucks! Pillows have an odour (mold, soapy?), lumpy mstrress, not very comfortable. NO WATER PRESSURE. Showered under a trickle of water that stops intermittently (probably when used by another room)

- Jake (8/5): Super super kind staff! - Staff was extremely kind and helpful! Water stopped working and I called the help number. They answered immediately and fixed it quickly. Rooms are big and beds are comfortable. Nice shower (when it is running lol). Only issue for us personally is the crosswalk across the street. Every time anyone crosses it makes an extremely high pitched beeping noise. This may only bug us because we are American and not used to that noise—but it was pretty rough to hear every minute or so at 8 am. Not the hotels fault, just good to know if you are a light sleeper!
- Marie (10/5): - Awesome room. Large, comfortable bed, sofa.. very close walk to town (10 min. ) Private easy parking. Frige in room, hot water pot with coffee etc… Easy check in. Breakfast available for 15£..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Rented two rooms at ground level here for six nights. One room had windows on a busy street and the car park. The shades for these windows were broken and we had to keep drapes pulled for privacy but the drapes didn’t cover all of the window onto the car park. Hot water was iffy (we were told to run it for a while to let it warm up, which we did but then it would cut out mid shower), water pressure went up and down in shower, no a/c and only a small rotating fan, no hot breakfast and continental one was meager and all store bought items, wi-fi was sporadic in one room. Positives were the staff were lovely, it’s very close to the center of town and the river, and it has a car park. Room itself was large and with some improvements would be a great place. Cost us 80 pounds more each night than the nicer rooms we had in Aberdeen.
- Lucy (8/5): - Good base to explore Inverness and the surrounding area. Lots of off street parking if you hire a car to explore the Highlands. Great parade of shops less than 5 mins walk to stock up on coffee and sandwiches for a day out and a 10 min walk into the centre.
- AMY (6/5): - The staff is wonderful, very personable and friendly. There is never anyone at the reception desk and you have to go to the bar. Our room was tiny. No place to put luggage so it went on the floor which normally would be okay but there is no walking room so we were tripping over it. We stayed for 4 days and the first two days we had water, one day it was a dribble and the last day we had no water at all coming from the sink or shower.
- Gary (8/5): - Located in old town area - nice walking area. Room was spacious and well appointed. Hotel appears to be waning - restaurant was not operating. Told manager that we had no hot water. They came to check it and said it was an old building and to let it run. Morning showers were cold.

We booked the family room which had two twin beds and a double. Plenty of room for me and my three adult children. The check went smooth. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Short walk to the castle and Victorian market.

- John (4/5): - This place is terribly run. Most of the time there is no staff to be found anywhere, and just a phone number to call on a piece of paper at the check-in kiosk. The water ran out at least 12 times during our two-night stay, sometimes for several minutes. (Three times in a single shower.) The bed had a large spot so soft that it made sleeping impossible. The property is clean and the location is good, but someone needs to buy this place and run it like a proper hotel. The hourly staff were polite, but seemed embarrassed by the place. A weirdly and uniquely terrible lodging experience.
- Tracy (10/5): Nice hotel with large rooms - The hotel itself was great. We had thought there was a restaurant available for dinner but apparently there was not which was kind of a bummer after driving from Inverness and stopping at Balmoral Castle we didn't really want to go anywhere for dinner. The rooms were really big which was really nice. We stayed a lot of places so I can't really remember the bed comfort so I don't want to mislead anyone on that but they were by far the largest bed that we had and the pillows were comfortable. We couldn't find the area for breakfast although we didn't look all that hard since we didn't pay to have it included with our stay. It's not super close to the city center so it's quiet and it's a bit of a walk to get to City Center. But if you're looking for quiet this is the place. All in all it was a good stay and we'd probably go back.
- Genevieve (4/5): - There was never any staff around. The restaurant was never open. The bar was seldom open. Cleaning of the room of haphazard at best and nonexistent at worst. The people we did see seemed sketchy. DO NOT STAY HERE.

- Marion (10/5): - A lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The electrical sockets have USB connections and the wifi is easy to connect to and fast. We would happily stay here again.
- Gregory (2/5): - We had 2 rooms and neither one had hot or even warm water. staff had no clue on how to correct it. not fun having to head out on a long road trip the next morning feeling dirty. emailed the hotel immediately the next day and still no response back 2 weeks later. not very good customer service. Also was charged on credit card for 3 rooms when we only had 2. Guess they need extra money to fix water heater.

- Rhonda (6/5): - We had a great stay all around! It would nice to be able to open the windows in the room to get some cool air, we were there when it was unseasonably warm. We would recommend it for sure, it was a nice 15 minute walk to downtown and had good parking so we could explore without worrying about finding a spot.

- Jason (2/5): - If we could give this property less than a 1 star rating we would. When we checked in there was nobody at the front desk. After waiting for 10 minutes the bartender came from the next door bar and said that he could check us in. So we had to go into a bar with the drunks to get our key. Once we got the key to ROOM 2 we noticed that the room was filthy. The bathroom had pubic hair all over the shower floor. The floor of the bathroom had hair on it and the maid swept dirt and pushed it behind the bathroom door. The room itself wasn't any better. I took off my shoes and had white socks on. I walked across the carpet and my wife said look at the bottom of my socks which were now BLACK. The vertical blinds were falling off on both windows and left on the floor. The windows were open which we thought were odd. We went to complain about the dirty room but the bar had closed and now there was NOBODY to complain too. We were stuck with the flithy room for the night. Once we got in to bed and closed the windows we soon realized why they had left the windows open. The room REAKED of URINE! So much so that we were gagging. My wife had perfume which she sprayed but it only masked the smell for a short time then the URINE smell came back. First thing in the morning we left. No way were we staying there for 3 nights. Tried to complain but NOBODY there. We spent 1 full week trying to get a refund and they have igorned us completely. Do NOT STAY HERE. Sleeping in your car is better
- MARTIN (6/5): - Good location, 5 minute walk to downtown. Friendly staff. Room was ok, but "slanted" so took some time to get used to. Water pressure in the shower was woefully insufficient.
- Vanda (10/5): - About a 15 minute walk to main area with restaurants and pubs. Quiet and comfortable. Spacious room with sink and microwave. I was concerned about noise given that it was named “hotel and bar” but it was lovely.

However, the management was not helpful for an unpleasant situation: the water stopped running in the middle of my shower .when I brought it up to the lady at the front desk she shrugged it off without the slightest attempt to find a solution. I sent an email to the manager and received no answer. I delayed the evaluation for 3weeks + to give them a chance for service recovery. Never happened

- Christine (8/5): - This hotel has so much potential but is a let down in a few ways. The location is ideal. Away from the hustle of the downtown but a short enough walk to enjoy the downtown area. There was sufficient parking and the check in process was easy and swift despite having to go to the bar area which is in the hotel since there is no one minding the front desk. Tarek was kind and resourceful for recommendations. My complaint of this hotel i believe is valid. There was an issue with water preasure and hot water. This seems to be a repeated issue with this hotel (previous reviews indicate this). The tv also did not work in my room. This wasnt a huge deal and I didnt bother to mention it while i was there. I think minor things could improve this hotel. More hangers and better quality ones than the flimsy plastic ones. Perhaps some body lotion and hooks in the bathroom to hang towels. The pillows were of poor quality and so was the mattress. The size of the room was great (#12).

I little too far to walk to the main downtown attractions and took awhile to get a taxi but hotel staff was able to resolve.

- Albert (8/5): Short stay hotel. - Excellent location 5 mins from town centre No breakfast available. Perfect hotel for a short visit to Inverness. Room were ready for our 3.00pm check in. Room clean and tidy.

- Christian (6/5): - Great location, great staff, decent coffee. Unfortunately, bed was uncomfortable, and there was not enough hot water to shower regularly. Seems they turn off the hot water around 9-10. Water just went out sometimes when others were using it (we assume).

- Holly (8/5): - It's a lovely building and the location is near the city centre which is great. The drawback is lots of traffic noise and the beeping of the crosswalk all night. The bed was quite comfortable and overall the facility was in decent condition. The young man who checked us in was lovely.

- Joan (6/5): - The Crown Hotel was clean and inexpensive in comparison to other properties in Inverness. The problem was not having staff on site. We had a hard time getting an Uber or taxi and ended up having to walk to the train station.

There were long strands of hair from a previous customer in the bathroom, the bathroom shelf to place your toiletries was broken and all my items fell off, and the room itself smelled moldy and damp. Additionally, my room was only cleaned 1 of the 3 days I stayed even though I never put the sign up to not tend the room, so I had a full trash can and dirty towels most of my stay. Parking right on the premises was a huge plus, and the restaurants and shops were only a 15 minute walk.

- raudy (10/5): Inverness - really great service , the staff looked after us . Even the owner came out and spent some time with us . i was travelling with 2 other friends on our way to Dingwall. The room for 3 people was awesome , very comfortable and spacious .
