Sarah (6/5): It is a lovely property, just needs some attention to the buildings and pool area. - It is located in a beautiful setting. Nice and relaxing vibe. The outside of the buildings are in need of a major paint upgrade (especially the Lofts where we stayed) on the outside. the paint was peeling and just generally had a "in need of some love" feeling. We ate at the grill, and the food was delicious, but for a $20 sandwich I had to pay $6 extra for french fries, that seemed ridiculous to me. The pool water was nice and clean, but the whole pool area seems neglected and could use some sprucing up.

Verified traveler (4/5): If traveling with pets, don't book with Hotels.com - If you are traveling with pets, DO NOT book through Hotels.com. I requested 3 rooms for all of us for the night, plus traveling with 2 dogs. When we arrived, we were told that Hotels.com did not book us dog friendly rooms. Of course they had some available for an upcharge. Then we were put in the oldest outdated and musty part of the resort. What a way to start our vacation. I will never use Hotels.com again.
Dave (6/5): - The building was in disrepair and being worked on during our stay. Entry way doors were left open all day allowing in bugs. Even on my floor I was the one closing the out door that night. Toilet seat would not stay up unless you held it up. Exhaust fan would come on but did not work. The place appears to be one that could be great, but there are alot of years on neglect and disrepair.
janet (6/5): We Stayed in Construction Zone - The view was nice but they were doing maintenance on the building outside our window and all the supplies were left there we had to walk around it all through the wet grass. It was like we are taking a break and then left all the stuff they were using. A lift, vacuum,tools all just laying there Scraped paint all over the ground. Those rooms should have been off limits to guests. We were placed in a construction area where people were working. Rooms are very outdated. The bathroom looked like a dog had been locked in it.

Seemed to be pretty empty when we were there on Labor Day weekend. Golf course looked nice. Would have liked to have had time to play. Close to the downtown area for shopping and dining. Would like to come back to play golf or ski. Only an hour from Mackinaw
Mark (2/5): - The room was horrendous, black spider widow in the dirty bathroom, linens were not cleaned and looked used. The safety latch on the door was broken. The overall condition of the room was poor and not cleaned at all, it’s as if they tried to make it look like they cleaned by reusing everything from the previous guest. When we complained they said we had to go through Expedia as this is how we booked.

Nancy (2/5): - We did not end up staying. The first room was overpowering air freshener and husband was stung by wasp with nest above the door. They gave us second room and the door broke. Did not feel secure. Asked for a refund and only gave us credit for 1 night. Not happy. But the receptionist was nice. Not her fault and she tried to help us. Never did speak to the manager even after multiple trys.

Especailly liked the cabin like feeling and the premises were lovely. The restaurant had good service, excellent bartender and food was great. The bathroom was small and the shower was a bit scary with no grab bar. The ads could state that you have to climb stairs to the 2nd floor.

Verified traveler (10/5): Unique accommodations with incredible views - So it took us an embarrassing amount of time to figure out where check in was. Hint, it’ll feel like you’re in the wrong place but you’re not. The staff at check in was helpful and efficient. I was taken aback at how beautiful the building and the views were. I imagine in its early days it was even more incredible. Vintage, high end ski lodge vibes. With the map we were provided at checkin we found our lodge/room relatively easily. I was disappointed our room didn’t have its own balcony, but it was rather a balcony for that floor/side. Some of the balconies had rotted wood, so that was a little unnerving. Our room was in the Blue Spruce Lodge, 2nd floor. The stairway and hallways were beautiful and unique- full of character and charm. We checked out the bar with live music in the evening. It was mostly middle age guys there on golf trips. Not exactly a happening nightlife scene but it made a beautiful spot to see the sunset across the hilly landscape. Our room was clean and comfortable. The lodge close to town. While it did have some quirks and could stand some updates, overall we really enjoyed our stay there. I prefer to stay somewhere with character, rather than a cookie cutter hotel.

David (8/5): - This is a good property that, especially in the winter time, will provide plenty of entertainment for those who are skiers. However, the property looks run down, with chipped painting on the outside of it's lodges. The main building doesn't have convenient parking and isn't well marked as to what is the golf pro shop and what is the overnight lodging check-in. With some maintenance/upkeep - this can be a very good resort that will compete with Treetops and other northern Michigan facilities.

Katie (8/5): Would I stay there again, probably not. I booked on booking.com and at a very favorable rate. However we extended one ad - It was a nice resort, with golf course and pool. Grounds were nicely maintained. The lodge’s theme is nice, although everything is very outdated. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The resort is badly in need of updating, the rooms, the beds everywhere. I had booked ground floor and as seniors we really needed ground floor. The girl at the desk said it was only 3 steps, in reality it is 13 steep steps up to the floor where the rooms are. Air conditioning works only in the main bedroom not in the bathroom. It was 4th of July weekend so not much else is available.
SANDY (8/5): GORGEOUS LOCATION!!! - The location is absolutely gorgeous! The main lodge, bar and restaurant are stunning. Good (expensive) food and drinks. We stayed at the Blue Spruce Lodge. Although clean, VERY outdated. It had an 80's grandma vibe. Some of the other lodges looked updated from the outside, but ours was peeling paint all over the outside and had rotton wood. Bed and pillow were as old as the room, but ok. Would stay again, but in one of the other lodges for sure.

Verified traveler (6/5): Needs some updating and maintenance - The room itself was clean and bed was comfortable. That’s where the positives stop. The exterior elements of this whole property leave a lot to be desired. Some paint, small repairs and landscape maintenance would go a long way. The rooms are dated and you can tell these buildings are old, but the outside could be mistaken for abandoned. Trim the trees, weed whack, put down new mulch, etc. the main lodge is maintained and lovely, while keeping the older charm of the building, do it with the lodging as well. Sidewalks are crumbling and the Logmark Bar has no central air. The bartender was trying to run a small window unit that was doing nothing for the heat in the building. We were the last guest left sitting after everyone else left. It was too hot in there!

The rooms where in a building where anybody can go in and out of. That was concerning for security reasons. The bed was comfortable, but the bath area although clean, was very outdated. When I asked if I could stay 1 extra hour past the check out time, she confirmed nobody is checking into that room later, but wanted to charge me $40.00 for 1 extra hour.

Michelle (8/5): Charming older place with beautiful grounds. - Older resort but has a lot of charm. Because it's older the lobby has that older smell to it when you walk in. Parts could be updated to some of the buildings. We rented an economy room with twin beds and a bunker up top in the Lodge building. The room was clean and cozy with comfortable beds and pillows, bathroom, table and TV with mini fridge and coffee maker and closet with ironing board . The grounds and view were gorgeous. We ate at the main restaurant and it had a cozy feel and pretty good food overall. We would for sure stay again.

Jon (2/5): - I arrived after dark around 9pm with my 16 year old daughter. Check in went ok - upon arrival to the building with our 'economy' room, things went wrong. The room next to ours had old metal blinds that were 'shredded' and falling apart. The metal threshold at the entry door was tipping and moved when you were walking in and out. The blinds in our room were in bad shape. 'Economy' room was meant to indicate 4 twin beds instead of double beds - which was fine. The smoke detector was missing, likely because someone wanted to smoke at some point. Then the heat didn't work - called the front desk - they said they were sending a guy to come fix it. A guy came promptly - no uniform - dirty clothes with large stain on his pants - he quickly said - no, the heat doesn't work and I should call the front desk for another room. He was quite odd and lingered looking at me inappropriately then left. I started feeling more and more uncomfortable. Front desk said they would send a guy to help us move to another room. I waited a couple minutes then my daughter and I started packing up to load our truck, knowing it would be in another building. The previous 'guy' seemed to be living in our building and was sitting on a lawn chair just watching us load our truck in the dark. The sidewalk had lots of cracks and settling - very hazardous. Entire building was very run down.

You walk in to a grand entry with huge windows overlooking the changing leaves over the ski hills, but there were no lights on and the windows were filthy. We ate at the Duck Blind restrestaurant. They didn't have a table ready by the windows and tried to sit us in the dark corner. When a few guests left, we asked for their table. They cleaned it off and gave it to someone else. So we just sat at the bar. We ordered the boneless chicken wings. They came out looking like a cheap bage of Tyson chicken nuggets. When we paid for our meal we did not leave a tip. We later checked our card and found a $16 added charge. This place was a terrible experience to our beautiful weekend. What a shame. We are at trestrestaurant
Judith (6/5): - It is a beautiful location!! The views are amazing. I was traveling with a pet so in order to accommodate that, I could not get the Expedia rate. I actually paid $100 more. They have special rooms for pets and I guess they don’t think your room should be nice when traveling with one. One bed sagged so bad it was hard to get in and out of. We killed numerous spiders and there were other bugs flying around. The building needs a paint job. The paint is pealing and flaking. I was very disappointed in the overall condition of the place.
Sarepta (2/5): - Bait and switch! Reserved King rooms (2) got rooms with 2 beds each. Wasn’t told about this at checkin. Desk was closed by the time we finished dinner at their restaurant. Contacted Travelocity and they tried to contact manager several times, no call back. Color tour for party of 6 and dinner for party of 7 was great. Cement walkway to rooms is a hazard at night. Rooms are dated and hallways are rough looking. Hotel begs you to leave good review at checkin. Had issue with key, didn’t get to see room until after desk was closed for the night.

Marianne (8/5): Would love to return. - We came in after 8pm, we picked up the keys at the bar. Limited interaction with staff. Loved the building, with its red plaid carpet in hallways. Room was large and very clean. Made me feel like we were on the set of dirty dancing! Wish we could have stayed longer! The grounds were lovely, the buildings, very Swiss like, with iron balconies and wood details. Unable to dine at any of the restaurants as we were back on the road early.
Hemoji (6/5): Overall nice place to to sleep for a night. If traveling with Kids or aged people, you have to depend on Mcdonalid or n - Location No breakfast, no microwave

Diane (10/5): - The property is very unique, it’s like stepping back in time. It could use a little exterior love and maintenance. Our room was clean and comfortable though a bit outdated but clean goes a long ways!
Barbara (8/5): - The coffee in the room! One thing I didn’t like was the the bed was too high off the floor it need to be 3 to 4 inches lower! The entrance way no light it needed to be fixed!!
Kim (8/5): BREATHTAKINGLY SPECTACULAR!!! - The staff were great and I enjoyed the grill on site. Although I didn’t golf or swim the feature points of the resort are the pool and amazing course and grounds. The views are just BREATHTAKINGLY SPECTACULAR from every direction and not to be missed!!! The shower was tight and the room wasn’t ‘updated’. It was comfy, clean and a good economical choice. Further from town than I thought so you have to enjoy seclusion, lots of walking and have your own transportation to go out
Lori (2/5): Very poor - It was clean. Dogs allowed. 70s old furniture. Small tv. Few plugs for charging. High powered sprinkler blasting windows at 8am.. Very expensive.

Smart (8/5): Very good - Location was great, close to lots of things to do and outside activities. No continental breakfast, and not many options for coffee without leaving the resort. On our last full day there, no housekeeping came
Sarah (4/5): Disappointing - The rooms were much smaller than appearing in the images, as were the beds. However, the worst part was the extreme noise - a very large drunken party roamed the grounds until at least midnight.

Wende (6/5): - The location was perfect. The neighbors however, were beyond extremely loud and disruptive. There must have been 12 to 20 young men next door, constantly coming in and out and very loudly slamming the door, music extremely loud as well as their shouting and yelling voices. After waiting 30 minutes to maybe quieting down, I called the front desk. 40 minutes later the maintenance man knocked on their door, telling them there were too many in the room, quiet down and turn down the loud music. About 20 minutes later it did become somewhat peaceful.
Edwin (10/5): - Proerty and staff were wonderful. Almost every exterior surace requires paint badly mostly to the point of being bare. The lication is great. Our waitress Kimberly at the on-site restaurant couldn't have been better.
Carl (10/5): - Very good place for a one-night stay with son and two grandkids. The 4-bed lofts work out well for this occasion.
daniel (10/5): - Rooms are spacious and comfortable. A lot of closet space. Property is very spacious and relaxing.
