Then shower Wass also not in good condition. Atleast do it better foe the next person.when u buy money give us basic requirement . Very sad and stressful with regard to wash room and toilet.

• Christina (10/5): Excellent service and really welcoming staff - The staff and room at the hotel were excellent. We had a long drive down from Northumberland and then visited family so we were exhausted when we arrived. The room was so comfortable and I had an amazing soak in the huge bath. We had brought our dog with us and he was also made to feel welcome which really means a lot to us as it takes the stress of travelling with him away. We will definitely be staying here again when we next visit Nothing

• Maree (9/5): Really enjoyed our stay here. would highly recommend. - Was a very comfortable and very clean room with good sized bathroom. Restaurant was lovely and food was superb. Staff very very friendly and accommodating. Theer was a large metal staircase going up to the room. This could be a health hazard if the weather was icy and also an older person may struggle to get up the stairs as quite steep.

The apartment is just great, had everything you could require, and within walking distance of Tamworth and its surrounds ie castle 5 minute walk, major shops 10 minute walk Only downside was that we felt the cold a little bit and the heating was on a timer that we had no control over, getting up at 5am with no heating was a challenge

Had I known it was just a backyard with rooms off a parking lot, I would never have booked there. Very misleading. I wont be back.

• Sam (9/5): Very nice for a weekend break! - The team at The Peel were all absolutely lovely, and our room had some lovely features like wooden beams, and was a good size to stay for a couple of nights. Breakfast was lovely (and is included if you book directly with The Peel) and we enjoyed having a pint in the pub downstairs the night we arrived. Parking was sufficient for the number of rooms, and there a few nice restaurants and bars nearby if you are staying for a bit. Nothing to complain about, but it was also just a nice pub hotel, nothing particularly extraordinary!

Our only gripe was that the weather was warm and our upstairs room was uncomfortably hot, even with the fan provided. There was an air con unit in the room, but it needed an ice pack, so it didnt make any difference to us. Otherwise, lovely hotel and would definitely stay again.

It was warm while we was there, there was a fan and then we worked out there was air conditioning! The Peel itself is an ideal location for tamwoth town centre and a short 5min walk from castle grounds. N/A
• Jenny (9/5): Very pleasant short stay, good location, quiet and comfy, with welcoming staff - Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and no problem with swapping items to accommodate preferences, with personal service. The towels were fluffy and huge. The staff were lovely - helpful, friendly and smiley The bathroom door squeaked and needed WD40! But we told someone in the morning and they immediately put it on the list of things to be dealt with.

• Catherine (6/5): - Having eaten at Christopher's (excellent), I thought it only reasonable to expect the same high standards in the adjoining hotel - sadly not. The lady who checked me in was friendly and thorough but the accomodation felt tired and in need of some TLC in terms of decor and ambience. Lovely bed and bedding but poor quality / old towels and shower mat (all were frayed). No rubber mat available which meant the shower floor was very slippy however the toiletries were nice. It was a very hot couple of days and the fans were much appreciated but it was necessary to open the windows to get a flow of air - not easily done and it was then incredibly noisy due to the traffic (not the hotel's fault). I would have shared these comments on checking out but I was not asked how my stay was...

• Celal (9/5): Good accomodation only 20 minutes from Thomasland - Cot and high chair were not in the room as previously agreed in writing ; however, the manager Sarah was delightful , helpful and went beyond the call of duty by offering to set the cot up. Made the rest of the stay a brilliant experience.

Air-conditioning wasn't working in the section we were in, which, as it was a hot weekend, made it quite stuffy. A fan was provided, which did improve things a bit. The heat in the room actually made us both feel extremely uncomfortable. Trying to get ready for a wedding was very difficult. Room located overlooking back car park. Metal outside steps leading up to the room were extremely steep. Quite challenging when carrying a suitcase up and down. No warning of this when booking. Some people would struggle with these definitely. Had we been warned about this we would not have booked
