Guest Reviews
- Virginio (9/5): -
- Danny (10/5): - Quick check in the staff was really polite and there's a really good restaurant next door that was walking distance! You're right in the middle of Pullman, so everything is about a 10 minute. Walk it was perfect..
- Holly (9/5): We will stay here going forward - The staff, rooms, and price were all amazing. We have been staying in Moscow for the past four years at almost 400 a night and then we’re faced with no room rooms in Moscow and had to stay in Pullman and we will stay here going forward The breakfast only had a few items to choose from. It would be nice to have a better breakfast.
- KATHLEEN (10/5): - Front desk staff member very kind and efficient.
Room was terrific!
- Lane (6/5): -
- susan (6/5): - "Breakfast on weekends" was on the website but was inconvenient for the temporary manager, so there was none. No grab bar or towel/robe hooks in bathroom. No coffee service in room, although there were two mugs.Old beat up 60s building BUT the shower was strong, and the mattress and bedding were comfy.
- Dara (10/5): - Older hotel, but very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay. Convenient location, close to WSU campus.
- Kevin (10/5): - Clean rooms. Good breakfast. Nice people. Super convenient to campus. Parking can be limited for busy weekends.
- Terry (8/5): - Great breakfast , good beds, friendly staff, convenient walk to football stadium , easy in and out. Easy to everywhere.
- David (10/5): - The hospitality was amazing! The biscuits and gravy in the morning, were made personally by the owner and were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The staff was so inviting and welcome. It felt like home away from home. Will definitely stay there again.

- Evan (1/5): Will try to scam you - Don’t book here. They won’t honor booking and will try to make you pay two nights.
- Clay (7/5): We paid the higher price for the location. The hotel meets the need for a good night's stay. - We liked the location because we could walk to the college campus. The staff was courteous, the room was sufficient for our needs, the beds were comfortable and we slept well. The room carpet had a wet stain and we couldn't identify its source. And the room amenities were sparse...(no coffee or bottles of water, good soaps & shampoo). The breakfast didn't start until after 7 am which is okay, but we wanted coffee early and there wasn't any available without leaving the hotel.
- Tim (8/5): - Very close to WSU campus.
- Herzog (7/5): -
- Trudy (5/5): - No breakfast offered. Location was great. The rooms are very dated, clean but tired. The deadbolt lock on the door did not work. Hallways sort of dark. Seemed a bit pricey for the state of the rooms but the location is excellent.
- Kelsey (8/5): Convenient and comfortable - Very convenient location. Short walk to the WSU football game. Not enough parking
- Jaclyn (8/5): - Great location for WSU visit and game!
- Ritter (10/5): Perfect for a football weekend! - Location was perfect A little dated, but not a big deal
- Ryan (10/5): - Overall a fun pleasant experience
- Ami (10/5): Close to WSU - Stayed here to move our Coug into his dorm and the staff was really friendly and hotel was close to everything. Will stay here again!
- Stephen (4/5): - Room was wide open when we got there cause it smells of smoke and we had to park 3 blocks away when we got back that night
- KR (10/5): Don't buy into any of the negative ratings...You can't please some people. It's a nice place to stay - Great location and superior staff attention. Front desk attendant was very sweet and attentive (funny too). Every detail of the stay was attended to. the old-fashioned key is not the best for me but it was not a big deal
- Maria (3/5): Old run down place - Close to wsu. The entry door could not open all way up, Hair dryer on and on button was broken. Floor carpet , negativt smell from it. Parking was tight. Expensive place for the value given.
- John (8/5): - Terrific staff. Very clean rooms. Great Korean and Japanese restaurant nextdoor.
- Lui S (9/5): -
- Kari (2/5): - They put me in a dirty room at first.
They also have not updated things, pets aren’t allowed, they do not serve breakfast, they were unprofessional even with working with me it was not worth it for this place being $200 plus
- robert (8/5): - We are a family of 4 that checked in and there was only 2 bath towels in the room, we had to go to the office and ask for more towels, they should look at the reservation to see how many people will be in the room. Also the "hot" water never got hot it was barely luke warm water.
- Harry (8/5): -
- Kim (8/5): - walking distance to WSU Pullman
- Lora (8/5): - Location to WSU was amazing!!
- Francisca (4/5): - The front desk lady was trying to give my reserved room to another customer when my sister had called to confirm, we were on our way.
- Dina (2/5): - Awful
- Cindy (10/5): - We stayed in one of the king suites, and the room had plenty of space. The place was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The lady who checked us in was very nice and pleasant. There was no coffee maker in the room.
- Rachel (6/5): The room was comfortable. - The bed is really comfortable. There were hornets making a nest on the balcony so we couldn’t use it, and the tv didnt work.
- Godina (3/5): Glad only stay 1 night - Smelled like dog urine Smells bed was gross
- Justin (5/5): -
- Guest (8/5): Good value if all you need is a nice clean place to stay for a few nights - While the place is dated it was nice an clean. The room I stayed in looked like they just remodeled the bathroom and it looked brand new The cleanliness. And the staff super nice
- Nikohl (8/5): - Room was clean and serviced promptly, a little let down that they advertised breakfast but once we got there they had a sign that said “No Continental Breakfast”. Parking was difficult, Spaces too close together and packed at night. We were visiting WSU and this hotel is extremely close, within walking distance. For that reason, I gave an extra star.
- Nicole (8/5): Great value, clean and comfortable - Our room was very clean and appeared to be recently updated. The bed was very comfortable! AC didn't quite keep up but it was 90°+ when we stayed.
- Uday (10/5): -
- Susan (10/5): -
- Kimberly (5/5): - Very close to campus. Bed was comfortable. Room seemed very clean. Doors were warped. Entrance couldn't open past the carpet, bathroom door did not close all the way or latch. Half of the outlets had no power.
- Shauna (8/5): - Disappointed to find out there was no continental breakfast served in the summer (the website did not indicate that). The room was nice, clean and bed was comfortable with nice bedding. Very well taken care of. The only issue was the bathtub didn't drain and the tub filled up with water during showers, but the water pressure was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
- Dana (10/5): Beautiful, very comfortable rooms close to everything. Slept great and enjoyed our stay. - Beautiful, very comfortable rooms close to everything.
- Newell (2/5): Don’t stay - The only thing I liked was the Lookout over the baseball field I did not like the parking, it was not easy to park with a truck. The pricing was way too high for no complementary breakfast when it was stated on the website. Did not like that there was nobody at the front desk before checkout around 9 AM. The bathroom did not close all the way, there was no deadbolt, TV didn’t work properly. Staff was not very helpful. Didn’t know how to fix the tv.
Staff didn’t care about making it right.
Oh and most of all. The bed was so uncomfortable. You can feel every moment of the other person. Do not recommend. I have never stayed in a motel this bad.
- Shani (2/5): - Website says breakfast 7-10. Then was told no breakfast in the summer. For over $150 for a night you’d think there would be breakfast. Room door wouldn’t open all the way due to carpet. Bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way. The smell in the hall way was terrible.
- Stacey (10/5): - Super clean room. Could tell they are working on updates.
- Alyce (8/5): - Clean, doors and locks are very old and could use updating. No breakfast available though was listed when room was booked on Expedia.
- Debra (6/5): - Not necessarily impressed with our accommodations. Amenities were outdated. Area was sketchy at best.
- William (2/5): - Dirty
- Troy (6/5): -
- Ronald (10/5): - Is hotel was great. It was centrally located and very clean. We brought our dog with us.So we were in the dog friendly part of the hotel which seemed to be newly renovated. I would definitely recommend this place. The price was right and it was a great place to crash for a couple of nights
- Pablo (2/5): - Definitely on the low end place to stay for Pullman.
- O. (10/5): Would stay again - The room was very comfortable. Recently redone. Nice and clean. The management was very nice. The breakfast was good but limited.
- Mary (2/5): - Buyer Beware!!!!! First, be aware of the 30 day cancellation policy. If reserving far in advance, make sure you won't be changing your plans. Next, watch the total before you hand over your credit card. I was overcharged by $100 (this was after we had a conversation 3 weeks earlier when I thought I might need to cancel. She asked then, "How did you get that rate?" She also tried running the charges 5 days early; she knew what my reserved total was). She is unwilling to refund the difference (AND wanted to charge an extra $30 for our adult son--who was included in our reservation). The room was nice enough and comfortable enough, but it was not worth the surprise $100 overcharge.
- Gary (7/5): -
- Melanie (7/5): Ok stay but mislead - The room was clean and surroundings were quiet. I was also able to check in 45 minutes early. I didn't like that the cancelation policy and " pay when you stay" on Booking.com was not the same as what the Hotel did. Cancelation policy vs, I could not cancel and because of the busyness of the Hotel. my card was charged in full the night before, what if I was going to use another card to pay for my room different then what I booked with?
- Cynthia (10/5): - Lovely premises! The owner was so kind and helpful. I hadn't called to make sure we had a ground floor room but she made it hapoen! Breakfast buffet had very few options, but enough to get us going.
- Julie (8/5): Decent, reasonably priced Pullman hotel - This was my first stay at the Pullman Garden Inn. People need to understand that hotels in Pullman are not necessarily like hotels in major cities. There are a limited number, and on parents, graduation and other event weekends unless you want to pay $600-$700 a night to stay at the Marriott, the smaller independent hotels are going to be your best options.
That said, many of the hotels are older but the locals have done a great job maintaining and making them the best of what they are. And keeping the prices in the $200-$300 per night range on big event weekends.
The gal that checked me in was super friendly, so sweet and very helpful. Again, the building is older. Some of the entrances are outside and the upstairs level on one side is an interior entrance. The room itself was older, but very clean. I did have to turn my mini fridge on, but it wasn’t hard to flip the switch. The room was a decent size and the bedding was very nice. The bed was not the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, but it was the worst by any means either.
The TV had options for you to log into streaming services which was nice.
All in all, for what Pullman has to offer and the price point on event weekends, I would stay here again if needed.
Oh, there is also a test right next door. I didn’t eat there, but very convenient. And the location is right at the base of campus (south side), so easy to walk on to campus if you want.
- Cheryn (6/5): - Older hotel but recent spruce up. Felt very clean. Super friendly staff.
- Quentin (7/5): - Easily accessible.
- Shannon (7/5): Short and sweet - Breakfast, was skimpy. Expected fruit, or something hot.
- Janice (6/5): -
- Charlie (7/5): - There is a problem with the heater. It wiuldn only heat for a minute then shut off. The weather strip around the front door is non existent so room never felt warm.
- Asim (8/5): - Good at the price
- Melissa (10/5): - Good location, comfortable bed.
- Samantha (6/5): - The breakfast is NOT Continental
- Charissa (10/5): - Lovely staff, great breakfast, nice rooms and location is perfect for the walkability to and around the WSU campus.
- Gina (10/5): - The rooms felt really clean and the beds were comfortable. The shower and bathroom felt “newer” remodeled and the shower pressure was strong which we liked. Building is older, but felt quaint. Staff is awesome and friendly! They also own the restaurant next door — and the food is great! Very convenient location at the opposite end of Stadium way. Quick walk to downtown and campus.
- Carlos (7/5): -
- Jacque (6/5): -
- Julia (6/5): - It was a good price and an easy walk to the WDU campus the fan in the bathroom and the heater in my room where both very loud
- Kenny (2/5): Poor value - Same as other night
- Kenny (4/5): Not worth the money. - Room was subpar for the money that was spent, no handy cap rooms and trip hazards in room. Snow in parking area.
- Jeremy (7/5): -
- Tanner (1/5): If you want an overpriced, dump of a hotel with an awful staff, then this place is for you ! - The location The staff, the price, the quality of the establishment, the unprofessional attitude of the staff
- Queen (8/5): - Room was nice, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Location was on a busy street, the property needs some additional work. The cost of the room was very high.
- Sean (2/5): - I could not cancel thirty days prior (the policy) if I only booked it eleven days prior. Ridiculous cancellation policy!!!
- CARRIE (6/5): - They called a month before the game and told me they've been closed for a while and wouldn't be open yet.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - closed! they waited to the last minuet to tell me!
- StayElsewhere (4/5): - This property is very close to the WSU campus (which is why we were there) and a nice restaurant.
This place needs serious updates (bed, mattress, bathrooms, USB plugs) and somehow get rid of the smoke-saturated smell of the rooms.
We paid a fortune ($160 per night) and it was to include continental breakfast. When we checked in, signs were posted that due to COVID the breakfast was not available. Yet, we were still charged full price.
Overall, the place is a dump.
- Joe (8/5): - Don't judge a book by its cover! Exceptional bed, clean and great location. Well priced.
- Eddie (10/5): - I like how fast and easy it was to check-in but would want better WI-FI.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Simple, but functional, with good proximity to WSU campus. Parking is very, very tight, almost too tight.
- Jack (8/5): - Convenient to WSU. Not clean, holes in Sheetrock.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to WSU, quiet facility, clean, variety for breakfast
- ML (4/5): - This place is old and really needs to make some updates.
1) We were not really sure if the door to the room was locked properly. You should install update magnetic key locks.
2) The bathroom door would not close.
3) Invest in some outlets, new chaulking for the bathroom, and an updated phone system.
4) One of the towel bars in our bathroom was broken.
5) The carpet was filthy.
6) We were really nervous about the bedding.
Plus we can not believe that the room was over $200 a night. I guess you have an captive audience since graduation and a new student event was going on at WSU.
- FRANCIS (6/5): If it's all that's available... - The staff was friendly and helpful though not dressed professionally. The hotel is quite dated, maybe 10 years past a needed renovation. The price was probably 3 times what is should have been, but it was still reduced by $50 from the normal inflated prices for a football weekend.
- Ron (4/5): - I’ve stayed at Nendels probably 20 times since the late 1990s and Incan honestly say I’m unsure the rooms have been cleaned since then. Dust, mildew, and dirt were prevalent all over the room. The new fridges and TVs were an upgrade, though!
For the condition of the property, it’s a complete waste of money for a game weekend when you can stay at far nicer places for about the same price.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I was unable to control the heat and was cold all night. In the morning I called the front desk to complain and the did nothing but argue with me about it being a new heater and we both had to take showers in the cold. My daughter is a student here and we have to visit often i will never stay here again
- Sue Ann (10/5): - Great beds!!!! Walls are a bit thin so if it is a busy weekend it might be a bit loud. Super clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The cost of the stay does not meet the quality of the environment
- Mike (2/5): - The location was fine as it was near the WSU campus and downtown
- Verified traveler (8/5): - There was a coffee pot in our room. However there was no coffee, tea, etc. I went down to just get some from the continental breakfast bar that had only started 30 mintes prior. Coffee was cold. Next day I just bought a coffee at the gas station. I loved how close it was to my sons dorm.
- Baxter (8/5): - Great location and clean rooms especially for an older motel. This is a quiet room and the bed was very good. Thanks Nendels.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Rotten carpets. Filthy... need to be replaced. Room seemed clean... just overdue for a makeover.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Tub water was orange first day, Luke warm at best the second day. Blow dryer didn’t work. Microwave looked like it had been dropped because there was no glass on the door anymore. Breakfast was bagels with no cream cheese, packets of instant oatmeal with cold water, and a couple similar dry items. Parking was horrible because of the configuration of walls, columns, and small spots. Could only have one vehicle per room. Checkin wasn’t mean but also not friendly or welcoming.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It's close to campus and some food options, but the hotel is old, floors squeak, no refrigerators in room, but everything worked out.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Decent place for the price. Super close to the Campus which was a huge plus.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very out dated and the parking lot is a nightmare to get around in
