• Lisa (6/5): It was nice but the rooms were a bit out dated - The amenities They need to clean the patios and balconies of the villas and they need to pressure was the buildings and the concrete walkways. There were spiders and all over the balcony.

The view was not what was advertised. I was told I wasn’t going to get it because it was a holiday, however that was not what the advertisement said when I decided to book the location.

It felt like we were in a house all to ourselves. Very comfortable, my family enjoyed it very much. The check out is 10 AM. Would be great if it was like 12 noon.

I told her we have NEVER stayed anywhere with this many terrible reviews. Guess what? It totally sucks. The infrastructure is somewhat OK (generous) but so very dated. Remote. Inconsiderate guests all around. Do not stay here.

• emmatX8082WR (2/5): Nonexistent safety protocols - If I could leave zero stars, I absolutely would. I strongly advise against staying at this location under any circumstances. On June 8, 2025, my young cousin went missing for over 10 hours due to a combination of unsafe conditions. One of the primary issues was that the doors to the unit did not close or latch properly, creating a clear and unacceptable safety hazard. The management's response was deeply disturbing. When the incident was reported early that morning, the manager’s only response was, "I don’t have time for this right now," before walking away. This level of indifference in an emergency situation is beyond unacceptable. To make matters worse, the entire resort has no surveillance cameras, doors that do not securely close, and an apparent disregard for guest safety. As for Montgomery County, the response from their services was apathetic at best. The officials involved seemed more concerned with bureaucracy and paychecks than with the urgent safety of a missing child. This experience was horrifying, and I’m sharing it to warn others. The safety protocols are nonexistent, the management is unresponsive, and the accountability from local authorities is severely lacking. Please take this as a serious warning — your family’s safety is not guaranteed here

When we requested to be moved, they told us they had no availability, even though we had reserved this place months in advance.

Fun for young and old! Age 100- 1 yr olds with tons of activities! No late check out although I received a letter @ check in stating that bc of my membership status; I had till 2pm to check out! Once inquired; I was told this location does not have late check out options!

• Amberley (1/5): Yuck! - The pool was nice. The pictures shown for the property do not show the cabins we were put in. Very misleading. When we walked into the cabin it smelled like rotted fish. The hallway was wet and moldy, and when we ran a bath for our son and turned on the jets, the most disgusting orange stuff started coming out of the jets. By the time we drained the bath, it looked like someone threw up in there. It was awful! Beds were extremely uncomfortable and the water pressure in the shower was completely nonexistent. Super disappointed in the room vs. how much we paid.

• Akanksha (10/5): - The hotel rooms are very big and spacious. The grounds are a little confusing but nothing a map cannot resolve. The check in area is separate from the actual hotel rooms which has its pros and cons. The hotel grounds are gated which makes it very safe. The beds are comfy and the rooms were very clean. This is a very family friendly hotel and I would stay here again. Both rooms having attached bathrooms is a game changer.

• Candace (10/5): - There is nothing better than a cup of coffee outdoors in the morning on the balcony. The breeze from the lake was everything. We didn't get to fully experience the room but the jacuzzi tub was the highlight of the stay for me. So it is near the lake and in the country. There are bugs outside and on the exterior of the building. If this scares you, then it's not for you but we will definitely be back!

Good amenities, clean, comfortable beds. Outdoor pools were still cold but indoor pool was nice and warm. Fun miniature golf with deer off in the distance.

WHEN WE ARRIVED AND CHECKED IN. I REALIZED THAT THE ROOM THAT THE FRONT DESK PERSON WAS GIVING ME WASN'T IN THE AREA WE DESIRED. THE FRONT DESK AGENT SAW THAT I WAS DISAPPOINTED AND SHE WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO MAKE SURE WE RECEIVED THE ROOM IN THE AREA WE DESIRED. SHE COULD HAVE JUST SAID THAT WE HAD TO STAY WHERE WE WERE BUT SHE ACKNOWLEDGED MY FEELINGS AND MADE IT A FUN STAY AND NOT A SAD DAY. I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO MELONDEY!!! 😊
• Jeffery (8/5): - Enjoyed the presidential suite we had. The neighbors were too nosiy and didn't turn off their loud music till early a.m. One of our heaters wasn't working properly either. Otherwise enjoyable stay.
• joshuarW7330YK (4/5): Definitely would not recommend. - The checking in process was conducted in a professional manner and all questions were addressed at that time. A map of the area was given and directions were thoroughly explained. Once we arrived to the villa we checked in and examined the rooms. Found hair in the tub, jets look like they haven't been cleaned or serviced for months, dirt and dust in the tub once filled with water, oven was not cleaned, and cracks in the wall. Booked this hotel through AMEX and I'm an IHG platinum member, bit after staying here I would not book this hotel again. Definitely not the quality I would expect that IHG would provide nor AMEX recommend.

The older cabins are a little difficult to find and we used up 30 minutes looking for it because they want tell you the room number only the building number. Also it would be good to get the extra hour of 11:00 check out instead of 10 and the water in the Jacuzzi ran really slow, took a hour to fill

• The (8/5): - Great for families, lots of outdoor activities, but be prepared it is more like “glamping” in a cute cabin rather than staying at an upscale resort. It’s kind of like adult summer camp I guess. Great views, beautiful area, friendly staff, main outdoor pool is lovely, and you are on the lake. No restaurant or room service on site. We will be returning maybe 1-2x a year for a short stay. Very dog friendly so we may bring our dog next time. Conroe is a great little place with good seafood. Recommend Conroe Lake House to eat but make reservations as they are always PACKED!
