• Dianne (9/5): A lovely break in an apartment with fabulous views! - Great location, amazing views - a lovely stay! The stairs were a bit of a pain climbing up for the fourth or fifth time in one day!

Dismayed to find feather cushions in the lounge room despite being advised there were no feathers in the property - we have quite severe allergies and were wise enough to check when we arrived and had to remove them to an empty room

• Liz (8/5): Beds were squeaky, apartment not very clean on our arrival but location was spot on - Location was spot on, parking very easy, central location to beaches and restaurants Great shower, fairly quiet location The beds were comfortable but squeaked everytime you moved, and the apartment hadnt been vacuumed/swept out before our arrival, therefore there was sand all over the floors and in shower recess
• Lisa (8/5): We had a great stay at Lamon Lodge - Excellent location & view - especially for the fireworks on NYE! It was very clean. Very spacious for a family of 4, easy parking. Close to shops & marina although a bit of a hill on the way back. The glass coffee table was not safe for a family as we kept running into it & had to move it. The second bedroom was hot at night & the beds were a bit uncomfortable.

• Katie (9/5): Superb - The location was good, it was a very easy walk to the marina for plenty of activities, very easy walk into Nelson Bay for woollies, dinner, coffee etc, the view was nice, the lounges were comfy. There was a lovely walk in either direction along various beaches. The unit was well stocked for plates, etc. Loved having a dishwasher, laundry facilities were also accessible. We couldn't fit our car in the garage which is very low, lucky there was unmetered street parking close by. It is a 3 flight walk to the apartment (worth it to be at the top though), there was no cooling in the bedrooms which were already quite hot and stuffy in this mild weather (air con in lounge, and slow ceiling fan in one room, windows only open a crack), the beds were a little noisy and not the most comfortable, but ok. The apartment was very noisy but we did expect that being so close to town.

• Amber (6/5): Pleasant - Location I wasn’t impressed with the lack of cleaning of the property. The dust inside and on the bath alone looked like it hasn’t been wiped for a good few weeks weeks. Toothpaste from previous check out still all over bathroom mirror, cobwebs on wardrobe doors in main room. Benches still has crumbs, over dirty. The cleaning really needs to be addressed. I had to clean the unit before I could use it. This was a big let down. Everything else was good though, location, marina convenience and walking distance to shops is great. Please address the cleaners!

• Heather (8/5): Lovely apartment lovely view! Older apartment which has been redecorated nicely. - Lovely elevated location with beautiful view. The constant emails demanding we complete an online booking form before arrival when the property had already been booked and prepaid through booking .com. We are elderly travellers and don’t intend putting our photo license and credit card details together on a third party site!!! Kitchen tap needs attention. External staircase difficult for elderly with luggage.

• Karen (1/5): Bad - Location & view outstanding Smell, WiFi not working, very outdated furnishings, needs a dam good clean.Throw rugs in loungroom I wouldn't even let my dog sleep on them. Bathroom was archaic just terrible, ugly, worst ever bathroom. Wouldn't wash my dog in the spa. Why not pull the spa out, disgusting. Don't start me on the kitchen. Floors sticky and dirty thoughout just yuk.. Very disappointing on all levels. Reckon a refund should be forthcoming..

• Lewis (8/5): charge a little more to add the basics and the stay would have been perfect - location, view, facilities there was no basic welcome pack (tea, coffee, milk) and only 1 toilet role. having to make the bed on arrival and build up of dust between the bed slats
• Bernie (2/5): Disappointing - The view is amazing, and the apartment is well set up, apart from the very noisy main bed( can't roll over without waking yourself up). All complaints below relate to how it is maintained. First time on booking.com after many dozens of bookings ive been given a packet of sheets to make the bed. There is a full kitchen but you're give two small sachets of dishwashing powder which I'm guessing is why many of the dishes were dirty from previous guests. No basics like cooking oil or salt and pepper, the most non absorbent tea towel, no toiletries, etc, etc, generally unclean through to some items being filthy (place mats, dining chairs) suggested that every chance to save a dollar was taken. We didn't dare use the spa. Internet didn't work, reported it, didn't hear anything back for the duration of our stay. Disappointing stay despite being an incredible apartment.
