Guest Reviews
- gordon (7/5): nice place to stay , very central to everything, traffic from the road is intense at night -
- JINA (10/5): - very kind
- rex (10/5): - Great host, very clean and excellent value for money.
- Angela (9/5): -
- Victoria (9/5): stay was exelent, i enjoy it, cause i could visit the strawberry farm - WiFi could not catch room 7 and 9 where i stayed , had to walk up to reception for WiFi
- Angelina (10/5): - Everything perfect Loved it
- Jean Pierre (10/5): -
- Michelle (6/5): Convenient Stay - Convenient stay. Staff Friendly and the place was clean. Not quite as we had a unit that was smack bang on the side of the car park. The unit was hot, although they offered a fan (we travel with one) so was not required, it certainly needs an aircon. The fridge was noisy which we heard all the time as the unit was open planned. We had a braai under the pergola in the main garden, but when night fell there were no lights, so we had to use our cell phone torch to braai with. Its a lovely place to braai, but the lights need to be looked at.

- Busisiwe (7/5): Staff was very friendly - We didn't have breakfast We booked for double room when we arrived we were accommodated in a single room. I complained about that then I was allocated double room
- Rozanne (10/5): We had a awesome safe stay -
- Garyn (7/5): Very pleasant - Staff were very nice and helpful. The rondavel was clean and neat. The area was nice and the check in/out process was easy. The shower is not the easiest to use, it's either scolding hot or freezing. A two-prong to charge phones would also be nice.
- Barbara (5/5): -
- kevin (10/5): Wonderful spoy - Great little spot. Perfect for what we needed. Highly receommenede anf given time of season was able to accomidate us. Also located right on strawberrry farm which is a great spot for meal and treats
- Sibongiseni (9/5): -
- Charles (9/5): -
- Elzette (10/5): - Perfect overnight to break up a long trip.
- Chris (7/5): Not sure about return visits, - The facilities are conveniently located to reach George and surrounds. It's close to the N1 and only a few minutes from George itself.
The unit looked out on a beautiful garden with many textures, colours and accessible walkways.
Well priced. The staff was invisible apart from check in. I booked online and on check-in was called by tge wrong first name. The person checking me in was unproffessional about it. The inventory list I was supposed to check was nowhere to be found in my unit. There was a tourist brochure but no information about breakfast or anything else. When I checked out at 8h00 in the morning, I rang the reception bell and waited 4 minutes. At no time while I was loading my car - walking past reception - were there any signs of life. Since the remote for the exit gate is attached to the unit key, I resorted to parking my car in the open gate (blocking the sensor), depositing my key in the mailbox at reception and returning to my car. This was awkward.
I understand that there are water restrictions in George but: hot water has high pressure and runs very hot, cold water literally trickles most of the day. It meant getting burned by water too hot in the shower and wasting water by trying to adjust temperature. This needs attention.
- Lihleli (8/5): -
- Elaine (8/5): Very good -
- Phiri (10/5): - The service here is exceptional and the rooms are to its standard clean and very functional
- Sven (8/5): - It is a very well positioned place. Good for an over night stop and had all the essentials. Staff were great.
- de Villiers (4/5): Noisy traffic with basics not working. - Close to Redberry farmstall The door doesn’t close properly letting cold air in. You can see that the establishment knows about as they did a horrible attempt to fix it.
The fridge wasn’t on upon arrival and didn’t make cold for the entire time of our stay.
The complimentary coffee and Tea was afterthought with no Coffee. It would have been better to rather put nothing down.
The Rondawel is close to the main road and the traffic can be a disturbance during the night.

The Redberry Farm are walking distance from African Sun and Harolds Bay or Victoria Bay are not too far if you'd like to spend the day on the Beach. - Mvelo (6/5): Pleasant - The should put new bed , queen , double bed
- Rose (10/5): Just what we needed for an overnight stay. Very clean, lovely gardens. Had everything we needed I. T -
- Allan (8/5): Very good - N/a It was acceptable for what we paid thank you
- Éric (8/5): Very good -
- Chadri (3/5): Poor - Gardens No electricity due to loadshedding. Inverter would be expected for the rates charged per room.
On arrival we rang the bell at reception_the host wasn't that welcoming as she gave the key and just said "you are room 6", next to the kitchen.
The water in the shower couldn't adjust to favorable temperature, it be extremely hot, or ice cold. If someone in the next room also opens a shower it affects the water in your room.
Also the picture they àdvertise is an rondawel, giving an African experience, when we got there it was just a small room.
When I openend my booking confirmation, it showed the rondawel.

- Lucy (9/5): Superb -
- Lara (7/5): Good - We loved the setting. Proximity to local attractions was top class. We would have appreciated bottled water in the room. The wifi was also very good - our sons really appreciated that. We missed an opportunity to enjoy breakfast at the venue because we arrived after 6pm. The hostess, recommended an alternative place to have breakfast, but unfortunately it was closed. Not that breakfast venues were lacking in the vicinity, but it would have been lovely to maximise the tranquil stay with a romantic breakfast on the patio.

- Sibongiseni (5/5): Passable - I liked the location, the room was perfect, the whole property is well maintained. Very clean. Our neighbors made noise the whole night, walking up and down the passage. I think it was a group of people occupying different units. Also I was not happy about not being able to get breakfast when we requested.
