• William (4/5): The remoteness of the property and the dysfunctional layout override the property’s charms. - No breakfast was served. Access was by a 9km 1-lane gravel road. The house is older and very rustic. Not without its charms, but dysfunctional. The bathroom that serves both the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms is only accessible by going up or down a flight of stairs.

Stary dom jest już znacznie zniszczony i zaniedbany. W środku jest brzydko, okropne stare zniszczone meble. Brudna kuchnia, lepiące uchwyty szuflad, brudny piekarnik i mikrofala, brudne gniazdka i generalne bardzo nieprzyjemnie. Rozkład pomieszczeń bardzo niewygodny. Popękane szyby w oknach. Mnóstwo starych przedmiotów totalnie przytłaczających i zbędnych. W domu są muchy. Zdjęcia na Booking są nieaktualne.

Zwischen Meer und Haus liegt nur eine Weide, auf der Pferde grasen, was unsere Kinder besonders gefreut hat. Check-in läuft mit einer Schlüsselbox und die Kommunikation lief gut. Los dueños nos dejaron el detalle de un bote de leche de sus vacas además de café molido para la máquina Hemos echado de menos tener una lavadora y el agua tenía un olor raro, era el mismo que había en las zonas geotérmicas de Islandia por lo que puede ser que se calentara a través de ese sistema.

• Jens (9/5): Tolle Lage mit weiten Blick über die Bucht - Tolle Lage mit weitem Blick über die Bucht und gut ausgestattet. Viele Schlafzimmer und großes Wohnzimmer Zu den unteren Räumen führt eine steile Treppe, die für junge Leute kein Problem ist.
• Ulrike (10/5): Lonely place, but lovely - We had the pleasure of staying at this beautifully arranged guest house for a week. The interior design is lovingly crafted and reminiscent of times gone by. Nothing is lacking, and we felt very comfortable here. We went on daily excursions across half of Iceland and looked forward to returning to our private base camp. We would like to express our gratitude for the warm hospitality and look forward to returning.
• Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - It is a old bungalow converted to Guesthouse. It has all the facilities and many rooms. Has a small garden and one can go down to the sea if weather permits. It is way from the ring road but a very adorable property. Owners left fresh milk for us, it was delicious.

• Rūtatravel (8/5): Very good - A cosy farmhouse. The communication with the hosts was easy and we did not miss anything for cooking. Just be careful with the many stairs in the house, as it's easy to miss some of the smaller steps. It was a bit tricky to find it in the dark, as Google suggested an earlier turn through the fields (probably more of an issue with Google maps "shortcuts"), but a sign earlier on the road would be helpful. The lamp above the kitchen table hangs very low and has a sharp end, when travelling in a larger group, it caused some issues.

• Harrie (9/5): Lovely modernised old farm house, still with character and soul - What a nice guesthouse, just what we like. An old farmhouse with modernised central heating, partly floorheating, double window glasses, shower and good firm beds. Bit still a house with lots of original character. We spent our resting Sunday here. If you like old houses with a soul, this is the place to be. Stable internet, but bit slow, but that is normal for rural area I guess Some parts of kitchenarea (shelfs and stuff on it) are in need of good clean (consequence of missing air extractor over oven).

• Biying (9/5): Really unforgettable and hope to have chance to visit in summer again - Wonderful sea view near the house and a lot of vintage furniture in the house, really special experience to live in such lovely place, also the farm nearby could be visited and the staff of the farm is nice and lovely horses and dog. Maybe in winter it could be better that the deep snow could be swept a little bit, so that the guests with big luggage could be more convenient to walk.😊

• Patricia (5/5): Passable - The lodging was directly on the water and had a very nice view. I liked the family history of the farmhouse and enjoyed the fresh milk left in the refrigerator for us. We were very surprised about the amount of indoor stairs to different levels. I had read one review about stairs but was still unprepared for stairs going both down and up in the home. Being an older farmhouse the stairs were very narrow and we had to take caution when going to the kitchen as well as to the bathroom and bedroom.

• Gali (9/5): A taste of true Icelandic serenity! We’d love to come back. - IT’S AMAZING! Such a lovely house! We fell in love with when we were still approaching it in the car. The location and the views are marvellous, it’s incredibly quiet — you only hear the birds and the sea. The house itself is retro-styled but very neat, clean and spacious. The kitchen is very convenient. The weather was surprisingly warm and sunny, so we could even lunch outside. Our child loved it that she could run to sea in two minutes and collect seashells. We truly regret we couldn’t stay there longer. The only thing I didn’t like is that the mattresses are too soft — for someone prone to back pain, like me, it’s very difficult to sleep on such mattresses.

• Olivier (10/5): Beautiful view - This is a beautiful little house facing the sea, with no neighbours. It's not new but has a nice atmosphere. The midnight sun is quite a magic view. The location is a bit remote: there is a 20km drive to the village ans shops. But that's the price to pay to be in that beautiful landscape!

My son loved this house! My son absolutely loved this house - but my daughter disliked it. Apparently, the best accommodation option for some - but not for some others. The owner expected us to wash the dishes, remove the garbage and leave the house in the same condition as it was when we arrived. Accordingly, not all kitchen equipment etc. were very clean (when we arrived).

• Tomi.e (8/5): Old-styled homely guesthouse - Due to the self check-in, we never got to meet the hosts, but they provided us with good instructions how got get in, so there were absolutely no issues. Also in general, there were instructions for so many things - very exemplary. As was mentioned several times, the hosts left us a bottle of their own milk, which was delicious. Thank you! The guest house is done in older style, but we didn't lack in anything. The guest house is larger than expected, with 3 rooms to sleep in. It is also has a fully equipped kitchen and a nice larger dinning table. One new thing about the guesthouse is the bathroom. The guesthouse is 9km of the highway, on a gravel road, which makes the whole experience unique - you really find quiet and peace there. The road took us also along many groups of sheep without no fence (we had no issues driving there and were not held up). Sadly, the way to the beach seems to be obstructed currently - there's a huge area closed of with tape. Nevertheless we got close enough, but I do not think it was possible to access it (provided instructions, did not have this new are marked as inaccessible, yet). Anyway, it didn't bother us much.

• Christina (10/5): - The door was a little sticky, and I have an advertisement that mentioned a washer and dryer and there wasn't one. The property was gorgeous, the view was breathtaking, the history of the home is charming. We loved our stay, and would definitely include it in our travels again.

• Kathleen (10/5): A lovely secluded cottage with great history and kind hosts. - Beautiful space to walk around. Host generously allowed use of an outdoor hotpot near their home. Saw the northern lights! A cozy house, made even cozier by the fact that we cooked our own dinner there. Some appliances are a little old, but everything was functional except the coffeemaker. The hosts said they will look into it. If you plan to cook, consider bringing your own oil and salt/pepper/spices.
