- Day (1/5): Poop on seat - The floors were sticky. There was poop on the toilet seat. It was filthy. Gross place.
- Guy (2/5): - Dirty, outdated, lights didn't work, bathroom door didn't shut and lock, insufficient pillows, small tv, no coffee, parking lot pot holed, they pressure washed the dirt off the building roof, outdoor balconies, and exterior early morning before check out all over my brand new car parked below in the parking lot.
- Earl (5/5): Passable -
- Dewayne (7/5): I had a peaceful, relaxing stay. -
- James (3/5): Go somewhere else - The shower pressure was good the room was fairly clean The woman working was rude and unhelpful. She refused to give extra towels, and the bathroom had no toilet paper and the room smelled like stale cigarettes even though it was supposedly non smoking. There were a lot of gunshots through the night. How this place had such a high rating is mind-boggling.
- Rakeith (10/5): - Nice friendly environment and the rooms are clean
- Rakeith (10/5): - Nice atmosphere and nice and comfortable environment
- Whitehead (1/5): It was very unprofessional, and ran under bad conditions - I paid online and when I got there she refused to give me my room unless I paired an extra 15 which made it almost 100 dollars. Then she complained about the booking online it’s for people take are travelling when I just wanted to save my money because I feel like the prices or out over prices of a hotel that haven’t been up dated in 10+ years Nothing honestly

- Pritul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phillip (2/5): Not safe by any measure. - I booked my stay with the correct dates but didn't realize there was an option to adjust the check in time. I was away from home and worked a full day and was exhausted at 1am. The front desk person, or hotel manager, said that she could not find me in the computer. She immediately went to bed and did not respond to calls from Hotels.com. The took my money and never provided a solution or a refund. Abhorent!
- Simmons (7/5): Good -
- Idella (2/5): The stay was horrible and I was very disappointed and dissatisfied. - I didn’t like anything about the property. The room was dirty, the tub didn’t drain and I wasn’t given proper towels. The bedding had stains on it as well.
- Phillip (2/5): Gross place. - The room smelled of smoke even though it was non-smoking. The room was way too hot. The walkways are dangerous as well. There are unexpected steps and no signs indicating watch your step.
- Keith (5/5): Passable -
- Gary (2/5): - Rude front office. Room was dirty with dead bugs in the drawer.
- Jack (1/5): nasty was there 10 min - it was nasty dirty
i did not stay more than 10 mins
no ac no tv very unsafe everything
- Steve (2/5): Absolute worst place to stay anywhere - This place needs to be condemned. It is in a very bad part of town. I literally witnessed 4 separate illegal transactions in the parking lot before I went in to tell them I would not be staying. It looks nothing like the pics online as well as. The lobby smelled like a sewage facility. The woman in the front office held my ID hostage until I gave her money to cancel the room. If you dont care about your safety, this is your place to stay. This place needs to be bulldozed. DO NOT STAY HERE.
- Dan (3/5): You really get what you pay for! - Location Towels were nicotine yellow, room smelled like cigarettes, shower barely peed water from head, people keeping us and out service dog awake all night.
- Resit (2/5): - SCAM PLACE. EXTREMELY UNSAFE PLACE
- Dashina (6/5): Pleasant - Location Having to stay upstairs and no ice machine
- Antwon (8/5): - Ok
- Dashina (6/5): Pleasant - Location Having to stay upstairs not having a smoking room. And no ice machine
- Carrie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rodney (6/5): - There was no toilet paper in the room. There were smaller bath towels and very rough ones at that. No clean towels the second day. Room wasn't cleaned the next day. There was shampoo but no conditioner. Toilet seat was loose. The ceiling above the bathtub was coming down in one corner. Couldn't call the front desk to let them know of any problems. The attendant was apparently taking a shower when we were trying to check-in, late afternoon. There was someone else's ear bud, that was apparently left behind, laying on top of the plastic bag for the ice bucket and the ice machine didn't work. The outside of the building looked like we were in a ghost town and it looked very unsafe outside. Not the most pleasant place to stay and will never do it again. First time working with Expedia and most likely the last time.
- Pam (5/5): Passable - Easy to find Shabby
- Benjamin (10/5): - I agree with others comments. The property is older, but it appears to be family owned and well cared for. Room very clean and staff pleasant. It is basic, no frills and I slept well.
- Moe (3/5): Poor -
- Linda (8/5): - I loved the convenience but didn't feel entirely safe as my room was in the rear of the property. Room had no way to hang clothes. Pretty clean.
- Ashley (8/5): - A little run down but was very clean and comfortable. Just fine for a one night stay. I would stay again.
- Lyudmila (8/5): Small, quiet, cheap hotel - Small, nice hotel, room was clean, except towels were not white colour. I wish they were cleaner.
Other then that was ok. Convenient location , close to shopping centre and high way. Towels and sheets.
- Charles (8/5): You get what you pay for - For an overnight stay it was convienient in location, bed was surprising comfortable. It is an older type motel but served its purpose. Toilet didn't flush at first n had to jiggle the flap inside to work. Shower was great! You get what you pay for. you want fringe...pay more but this did work for us this time
- Corbett (10/5): - Love that place. Very friendly, I would pay for the hot water and the air conditioning alone!
- dennis (8/5): - The room was old but clean. Fine for a one night stay.
- Kyle (7/5): Good value - Great location for traveling. Gas station in same parking lot and a 24hr Waffle House across the St. Only complaint was the shower was dirty.
- Anonymous (10/5): Always chose this location when I visit the area. Beds are comfortable and clean. - Ms. Susie is an exceptional hotel host. Everything was good for the value
- Latonya (9/5): Overall I enjoyed it and will stay again - The rooms were clean and comfy. The motel was near a lot of stores for convenience. It was a little small
- Salas (9/5): Not that bad - Was ok Kind of smelly
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad - nothing everything
- Mark (10/5): - The property was just what I needed. Clean and affordable. The manager was very nice and accommodating. Lots within walking distance.
- Katherine (1/5): poor - only hotel room available for miles so had to stay my room smelled like urine. price was high for the poor quality
- Judith (10/5): - Even though it was a little run down, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Would like to have had a coffee pot or coffee in the office.
- Maytal (1/5): Bad - Room smelled bad, hot water lasted 1-2 minutes and shower was dirty Smell, dirty, no hot water
- Celestine (10/5): - The staff at budget inn is very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean, and the place is quiet. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and I will be staying again!
- Celestine (10/5): - The room was very clean, and it was very quiet!
- Denetra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): Perfect for what we needed! - Price, location and the nicest and friendliest girl running the hotel, always there to help with anything we needed! Older hotel but was very clean and comfortable and quiet night sleep!Walking distance to wal mart and various restaurants and gas station/store right on property, would stay there again! Thank you!
- Micahel (1/5): Cigarettes and mold - Bad Clean it up
- Tim (4/5): Worst hotel. - Worst hotel ever. Dirty, smelly and disgusting. Towels were threadbare, curtains not attached to rid. Ice machine broken.
- Lewis (1/5): Bad -
- Jerry (8/5): - The property was fine, the rooms were clean, and the staff was nice. My only issue was the door to the bathroom did not shut easily it had to be forced shut or forced open to use it and with small children it wasn't easy for them to open or shut completely. Other than that I had no issues with the property.
- Alexia (5/5): Passable -
- Toni (10/5): Enjoyed my stay I will definitely be back here for future stays. - The staff was very friendly. The room was exceptionally clean. Bed was very comfortable. I would choose this hotel every time I’m in the area.
- Pritul (10/5): - Great stay at a wonderful prices!!!
- Tenesia (9/5): Superb -
- Forward (9/5): Superb -
- Eugene (1/5): If not already paid would have went elsewhere. - There was absolutely none at hotel. Had to go to waffle house for a cup of coffee. The place is very run down. Paint falling off ceiling, rust and general state of disrepair.
- jessica (8/5): - Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. AC was great and kept the room super cool. Only concern was cleanliness of office. There were some bugs as you walk in which can scare you into thinking the rooms will be the same but the rooms were great. Area seems a little sketchy since it’s hidden but there are a lot of shops and dining options nearby. Overall a great stay and you can’t beat it for the price. Staff was very friendly too you can tell they appreciate the business.
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Dawn (1/5): Bad -
- Andrew (8/5): Meets Basic Needs. - It’s a cheaply priced hotel in Tarboro, NC. Room was comfortable and quiet. Plenty of food options nearby. Air worked fine, water pressure was good. No complaints from me on the stay. Those expecting a Hilton or Marriott are foolish.
- Corbett (10/5): - The lady that runs the place is SUPER friendly! Quick to answer your needs and help you out quickly.
- Sherrill (4/5): Tarboro budget inn - The price was fair All type of issues with room and place seems understaffed and they need a dedicated person to stay at front office and answer phones at all times in which they failed terribly.
- Jose (2/5): - The restrooms door it was terrible
- Melissa (6/5): It was OK - The stray was ok. When I arrived my fire alarm in the room was beeping. The hotel clerk came into my room push the button to make it stop by 6 o'clock the next morning it was beeping again in which case woke me up. Along with the trash truck emptying the dumpster at 5:30 in the morning. So it was ok for a night. Did not stay the serving like plan bc of the noise
- Julian (6/5): - It was quiet. well located, a goodnights sleep, receptionist friendly. Downside: "Non smoking room" smelt of tobacco traces. Fridge advertised, but not operating. Carpet had leaves on it.
- Melissa (10/5): - Looks are deceiving. It looks scary and deserted, but a very nice, clean comfortable room and extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff!! We’ll worth the price paid and would definitely return.
- amber (2/5): - The place was abandoned, looked like they went out of business because all of the rooms curtains was open and some doors had yellow tape across the door
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was ok.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Rt. 64 via Tarboro is an expedient way to get to the Outer Banks. Do not judge a book by its cover as to this property! The onsite Office Manager cares about this place! Clean room, very comfortable mattress, sports complex and golf course with practice facility, and many dining options nearby.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The bathroom could have been cleaner, otherwise friendly clerk at desk
- FairyGurl (10/5): - When I am Traveling through the Area to Visit I perfer to Have a Smoking Room. The place is Comfortable enough to Meet my Basic Needs. The Staff has Always taken good care of me & I always feel Safe knowing theres always an eye out for any Riff Raff.
Greatly Appreciated & I will Definetly Be Staying again.
