Guest Reviews
- Brooke (9/5): -
- Kevin (9/5): -
- Brian (9/5): - Interior features were fabulous. Outside areas a little run down
- Malcolm (10/5): Absolutely fantastic place to stay, could not fault anything - Location, view, cleanliness
- Gardner (9/5): Perfect - The location was perfect, enjoyed the sunsets during our stay. N/an everything was great.
- Sheila (7/5): Spacious accomodation, comfortable enough with a view and very handy to explore the area - Location was handy for exploring the area, spacious kitchen and lounge, seperate toilet which was nice and good shower room. A reasonbale view which would improve if the trees were pruned. The bed was somewhat firm and not that comfortable, the frypans need to be thrown out and new ones provided, the outside area was unkept and septic tank needs attention
- Karen (7/5): Great Location. - Great location, beautiful beach. Having the whole property to ourselves was great. The drinking water urn was covered with slime on the bottom so I emptied it and cleaned it out. The bedroom (possibly the sheets?)stunk of fish and chips and it was hard to get a good nights sleep because of the strong smell.
- Clare (4/5): Very disappointing and did not meet our expectations and misrepresented in photos on booking.com - The view from the balcony only The shabby poorly maintained interior with broken fly wire screens and lots of mosquitos affecting our sleep . Not as it’s pictured, not worth the price and not located in Cole’s bay central . I spent so much of my time back and forth with management reporting maintenance issues and in the end they sent a handyman to replace the broken fly wire screen door. It was too late as we left the next morning. At least it’s more habitable for the next unsuspecting guests. I would not recommend this rental to anyone. I requested my money back but management avoided the question and never gave me a straight answer as to whether that was possible or not. Until I complained to booking.com then I heard via booking.com that they were unwilling to move us or reimburse us.
- Emma (9/5): - Lovely quiet location . Could walk on beach at low tide which was lovely . Bed comfortable . 2 places to side out front over view and fire pit at back
- Tony (10/5): No negatives. Fantastic -
- Michael (9/5): -
- Hazel (8/5): -
- Faye (6/5): - Apartment clean, bed comfortable, nice view. This was listed as a ground floor apartment, which it is not. The driveway is extremely steep, you then have a double height step up onto a brick garden path that is uneven and then three more steps to get to the entrance door. This property is certainly not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Also the curtains need rehanging as they do not track well.
- Candid Mark (10/5): Heaven on Earth - Wish we could give more than 10 for the score! Blissful spot. Ten minutes drive from Coles Bay Village, this is a haven overlooking a huge and remarkable beach. The kitchen is well-equipped. Bathroom and bedroom top notch. Living area immaculate. Private driveway. Sit on the balcony and watch the bay and the incredible bird-life. Go into the village to enjoy the ice creamery and a great coffee at Geographe. No Complaints
- Sally (8/5): The weather was great which made the views from the balcony amazing.had to drive into Cole’sNay for provisions as it’sto - Views were amazing Steep incline to back door
- Rowena (10/5): -
- Christine (7/5): - The views Steep driveway
- Mark (10/5): -
- jonathan (8/5): Nice location, nice views, - Comfy bed, towels, views, location. Good shower. Had cooking basics-oil, salt/pepper Cold floors/
- BeBe (8/5): Really lovely stay, it is exactly as described - Very easy to collect although we didn't realise at first that the entrance was round the back and up the hill The entrance to the drive way was very steep to get in and out of and in a hire car this was quite nerve wracking. The property was also a little bit mis-matched and dated
- Saffron (10/5): Stunning sunset views from a gorgeous little home - Absolutely stunning little home. The design and all the little touches throughout were gorgeous. Had everything we needed and the most amazing view of the Bay. The location was perfect, being only a short way to local shops and restaurants. The driveway is quite steep and can be a bit of a manoeuvre going out carefully. This wouldn't be an issue normally but we had a rental car and had to be extra careful. It was still so fine going in and out just had to be more careful.
- Martin (8/5): -
- Steve (10/5): Great property with all that we needed for a 3 day stay. Thanks -
- Sarah (10/5): - The view was amazing and the house very comfortable with everything you needed - excellent local coffee and tea too 😊 Would be handy to have a recycling bin in the house.

- Mikayla (9/5): - Incredible view!!!
- Kate (9/5): - Great location, wonderful view, and comfy bed! The steep driveway
- Aoife (10/5): Most beautiful place I’ve stayed in Tasmania - The most gorgeous house and nicest place we stayed in our Tasmania trip! Place has all amenities you’d need. Lots of cooking utensils. The views from the balcony are gorgeous and sunsets is a fitting name! Tv also had access to Netflix. Would definitely recommend if wanting to stay in Cole’s bay! Place is slightly out of town so you will need to drive to get something to eat.
The driveway is very steep we didn’t want to go up in case we scraped the car.
- Tony (8/5): Convenient and quiet. - Great location and view. Some kitchen items were broken, coffee pot, stovetop, eggslice.
- Brooke (10/5): Very comfortable - Very homely great location and facilities, great heating. New frying pan needed, shower sprayed out the door due to no screen. Toilet plumbing questionable.
- Donna (9/5): A quirky little house with the best views - Fantastic location with a great view. We could look straight out our bedroom window and see the stars. It's high up!
The house has everything you'd need, including a full sized kitchen with all the cooking equipment plus tea, coffee, salt, pepper, cling wrap, etc.
It's a quirky little house. We arrived at night and it was very dark. None of the outside lights were working and it's quite a dangerous, hazardous walk from the car.
The house had a smell, perhaps from not being aired for a while. Maybe a carpet deodoriser would help. Also, the mattress protector had major "pilling" and we could feel the lumps through the sheet.
- Katie (9/5): Superb - We loved our stay at sunset lodges the view from the house is amazing, we felt very relaxed and the place was very clean and cosy. Short drive to the national park we wished we could have stayed here longer we will definitely be back!

- Allan (9/5): the view overlooking coles bay was calming, relaxing and peaceful. - the comfortable beds, the view, all kitchen and laundry facilities were properly functioning. nothing it was all good
- Jenny (10/5): Sunsets stay - Apartment was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. View from.balcony was beautiful. Close to Coles Bay for our Wine glass Bay cruise. - Joe (9/5): Great space for a relaxing stay - Excellent space - good position The curtains in the bedroom were broken and the first night I phoned the emergency number because I couldn’t find it - the call was taken by an answering service but no one got back to me.
- Mike (8/5): Really enjoyed our stay here and the short drive to walking trails. - Property was in a quiet street. Access was clearly explained and easy. The property was very clean either lots of room and a great deck for relaxing on. Nothing
- Suzanne (7/5): Great location - We loved the location, the views & the size. It was light & bright. It was so nice to come into a warm house on a chilly day. It is starting to look a little tired. The light in the bedroom didn't work. The shower leaked into the hall. The views were blocked by overgrown trees.
- Daniel (8/5): Nice accommodation witha great view - The location and the view. Additional amenities such as washing machine and dryer was helpful. In terms of location, it is almost central between Bicheno and Freycinet National Park. NA.
- Jeanette (9/5): Superb - Well equipped kitchen, lovely view, board games, heating and cooling Despite being well signed we tripped on the front step
- Tamara (9/5): Superb -
- Linda (10/5): This was a great location and we enjoyed the veranda to enjoy the sunsets. - Beautiful views. Couldn’t work out the dishwasher.

- Linjohn (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, cosy, clean and perfect for a getaway
- Paul (6/5): Pleasant - Amazing views No ensuite ⁸directly off bedroom
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Location is stunning and the balcony view was delightful. Driveway is steep and takes some getting used to - although I did work out a path to get up without scraping the pavement.
- Tobias (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Soojin (8/5): Very good - the view is amazing from the balcony the drive way was so slippery on the rainy day, almost couldn’t go up the hill
- Annette (10/5): Lovely house close to the National Park - Beautiful home with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Good wifi and tv has netflix, Disney, etc which you can log in to. The view from the balcony is great for breakfast or afternoon drinks. Very close drive to Freycinet National Park (approx 10 mins) where you will find Wineglass Bay, and the Lodge where you can grab a meal, snacks, coffee or cocktails. Coles bay also has some useful amenities such as a general store, petrol station, tavern, ice creamery and cafe, but that’s about it.
- Eve (8/5): Very good - Beautiful setting overlooking the water a few minutes drive from Coles Bay and Freycinet National Park. Quiet location and house had everything we needed and was spotless on arrival. There was an unpleasant smell outside on the balcony, smelt like there may have been a blocked drain. Did prevent us from sitting outside one evening.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Wayne (9/5): Superb -

- paul (8/5): Enjoyable view - Very comfortable house with fantastic views & nice and quiet. Unfortunately we didn’t have great weather so weren’t able to take advantage of beach. Day trip into Freycinet national park was easy 10 min drive. Make sure you take your everyday grocery with you as shop is 10 min drive. Had small problem with washing machine which was fixed immediately & could not get oven to work but lovely spot for couple to rest.
