• Sylvain (10/5): Perfect stay! 🤙🏼 - We had three excellent nights at OceanLife Surf Stay! The location is ideal, less than 10 minutes by tuk-tuk from the main beach in Weligama, and only a 5-minute walk from Jungle Beach, which is much quieter and more unspoiled. The room is very clean with a large bed. The bathroom is also spacious and has hot water. The breakfast is generous and delicious. Overall, the place has a very chill vibe, and Shannon & Imke are friendly and welcoming hosts. They gave us the contact details of a tuk-tuk driver who was lovely. He took us to several places, and everything always went very smoothly. We took a surf lesson with Shannon, and it was incredibly valuable for us to receive video and photo feedback. It helped us a lot! We highly recommend staying with them! Nothing, everything was perfect!

• Bethanie (10/5): Great villa with wonderful hosts in quiet location, accessible to beautiful beach - We had a fantastic time at Ocean Life. We stayed for three nights, loved the breakfast which changed every day and also had dinner twice which was beautiful. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable with air con and fans and serviced daily includng fresh water changed in the fridge in our room. The bathrooms are also large and spotlessly clean. It was lovely to have the lounge space upstairs to work or chat with other guests, pat Polly and to watch the monkeys play in the trees. Shannon and Imke are wonderful hosts who helped with recommendations of drivers, places to visit, places to eat - anything we needed to know they provided advice on (including returning lost property!! - thanks guys). We also did a surfing lesson with Shannon which was great and added to our time in Welligama. The villa is 5 minutes walk from Jungle Beach which is a quiet place for a swim or surf or a 20 minute walk into Welligama town. We highly recommend Ocean Life Surf Stay as a base to explore the area, learn to surf or relax in the quiet. nothing
• Debbie (10/5): Restful relaxing and chilled 🤙🏼 - Everything was great from the communication before and during my stay, the meals and the consideration and thought put into the services provided (which went beyond the usual expectations of a hotel). It felt like home away from home with a like-minded friends who by the end of the stay felt like I'd known them for longer than the 5 days I stayed. The location is perfect for exploring the south coast with Jungle beach on your doorstep for surfing, swimming, snorkeling or just soaking up the sun. I arrived weary from lots of travelling and left feeling revived and relaxed (not wanting to leave). Thank you, Imke and Shannon for sharing your little piece of Heaven :) Nothing.

We had no idea how beach will look or will it be crowded or not.. but in jungle beach is just perfect location to be! It is quiet, you have villa located in the village close to the beach which is not busy at all! Property is clean and tidy, there is fan and AC in the rooms and private bathroom. Hosts just wonderful. They will make you welcome and include in dinners and breakfasts 👌😊will recommend it. We have also met great other guests who stayed at the same villa. One amazing bonus is that Shanon and Imke are surfers and Shanon can be your coach! He knows spots and people who will provide you great surfing experience from beginners to pro levels. I am thankful to hosts, people there and of course Polly for the great stay! N/A

They are incredibly warm, honest and helpful hosts. Our recommendation: contact them directly by phone – they’ll help you with anything you need and make your holiday in their little paradise completely stress-free. Our highlights: • truly amazing hosts • a super relaxed atmosphere and a wonderfully chilled rooftop terrace • delicious meals and unlimited filtered drinking water • a jungle-like setting with monkeys, peacocks and their lovely dog Polly • personalised, very educational surf lessons – Shannon is an exceptional coach Everything we needed was organised easily and without any hassle. The food was excellent, lovingly prepared and always varied. Breakfast was perfect every single day, and we’d definitely choose the communal dinner again. The surf lessons with Shannon were incredibly helpful and perfectly tailored to our level. The video analysis afterwards helped us improve very quickly. The rooms were clean, cool and we felt safe at all times. The whole team was wonderful.

• Philipp (10/5): A relaxed and welcoming guesthouse near top surf spots, with amazing food, great coaching, and a perfect balance of soci - I came here last minute after reading the description and comments - and I’m so glad I did! It was exactly what I was looking for. A chilled guesthouse with lovely hosts in a quiet area, just around the corner from amazing surf spots. Imke’s kitchen - blending local flavors with European influences - is absolutely delicious. Shannon is one of the best surf coaches I have met so far. Their concept makes it really easy to connect with other guests if you want to, but there’s no pressure - you can totally do your own thing. • Saskia (10/5): Exceptional - Imke and Shannon are the kindest hosts! We got a very warm welcome followed by many great local recommendations! We were even able to borrow some snorkelling gear. They've got connections to two TukTuk drivers who will be very happy to give you a lift for reasonable prices. Breakfast was included and with homemade bread the best breakfast we had on our trip! You've also got the option to have lunch and dinner at the accommodation. We did have dinner twice and it was absolutely delicious! Location is perfect - a 3-minute walk to Jungle Beach which was our favourite beach in Sri Lanka. Not far from Weligama and Mirissa and very quiet. Rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. They got cleaned every morning. We will definitely come back and would recommend everyone to stay here to enjoy the south coast to the fullest! I recommend this hotel to visit. The wi-fi was not working at the time of my stay, I can't say anything else bad.

Imke and Shannon were the most welcoming hosts, giving lots of info on what to do etc in the local area - also nice to just hang out and "chew the fat" ( British term to converse)- new friends who I hope to see again on my next trip. I personally don't surf but it didn`t matter as Horizon Inn caters for all. The room was spacious with fresh laundry and room cleaned everyday. Breakfasts and dinners on request were superb! Location wise, 30min walk(or 6 min tutktuk) from the hustle and bustle of Weligama and 5 minute walk to jungle beach. It`s a chilled spot away from party vibes of Ahangama etc. and a real place to take things easy. Definitely recommend staying here. Matt
• Aleksandra (10/5): I really enjoyed my stay here - Horizon Inn is a quiet guest house on a green village street. I spent there a few weeks. Seya is a great person and the most caring host, she treats you like family) Rooms are spacious and cleaned regularly, ac works well, bed is nice. Bathroom is also clean and functional (it has a countertop, which is great), water pressure is good. You get a bath towel and a beach towel, you can also get a hair dryer. In fact, you can ask Seya about anything, and she will help)) Breakfasts are very good, served on a lovely rooftop, you can ask for something specific if you like. WiFi is great. As a female solo traveler, I felt very safe and comfortable in Seya's guest house. A nice little Jungle beach (with a surf spot too) is 2 mins away, as well as 4-5 restaurants within 10 min walk. Weligama is 5 mins away on a bike or tuk. Also a bus stop close by. The neighborhood is generally very friendly. I seriously can't think of any faults. Everything was good and I'm very grateful to Seya and two other ladies who work there. Maybe I missed not having a kettle in the room a little, but that's just probably because I didn't ask))

I really liked the location of the hotel - the beach is just a three-minute walk, and the area is very quiet. In the morning, while having breakfast on the veranda, you can watch the life of local animals - birds, monkeys - it’s very cool. The room is very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay, plus a huge bed. wifi works great. Upon request (in addition to a delicious variety of breakfasts), excellent lunches and dinners can be prepared for you - I especially want to mention tuna steak and curry. I would be very happy to stay at this hotel again!

Very welcoming and helpful host! Really the best host I met in Sri Lanka. Good food, with option for lunch and dinner. Big, beautiful and very clean room, comfortable bed, very nice sitting area.
• Ivars (10/5): Exceptional - I was very well taken care of. The host helped me with all the things I needed. Easy to communicate in English. There is a tuk-tuk and motorbikes on the property. The host will help you to get the license if you decide to rent one. The property is close to a small beach which is also good for surfing. The rooms are decent size and have both AC and a ceiling fan. There is also solar-powered hot water. Breakfast was massive. The wifi was always working and there is a battery backup when there is a power cut. Not many restaurants around, but you can always get a tuk-tuk to go to Weligama.
• Love (10/5): Perfection - The lovely diverse breakfast, the strong coffee, the friendly staff and the location! Also rooms are great with strong Wi-Fi and ac! 2 min from the beach. There is also a great tuk tuk driver ready to take you where you need to go.
• Toni (10/5): Exceptional - Owner Seya take care of everything moment I landed to Sri Lanka and arrange transfers, safari trip and recommend nice surf school nearby. They have also own tuktuk driver for your use. Location is quiet and near 5min walk is also jungle beach were you can watch sunset. With her help I enjoyed and experienced Sri Lanka more than I expected, so thank you Seya☺️
• Björn (10/5): Super nice! - Seya is a super nice host, very friendly, always ready to make an effort to make us guests happy. Great food, great advice, as well as a very nice staff. Horozon Inn is super cozy, close to a small beach, as well as walking distance to the best party place in Weligama. They have a kitchen, so you can order food all day, espresso, etc. Recommended!
