- Corrinne (9/5): The owners were lovely and welcomed us in the food was gorgeous and room nice. - The variety of lounge spaces Close to busy road
- Neil (5/5): Tired property which needs investment. - It was clean but tired Staff weren’t overly welcoming
- Geoff (9/5): Ok - Location
Moved room to disabled without hesitation
Breakfast lovely Evening meal, considering we were on our own in restaurant the attention to meal/ food was poor. I think my sausages were re heated.
- giles1009 (8/5): -
- cedric (6/5): As we only there for one night n the rate reasonable not include Breakfast etc. - Bathroom good accept need brighter lights not clear enough for shaving etc. Need cleaning dinning lounge no heatings in Bedroom , Lights keeps flashing in bedroom n bathroom. Need brighter lights or fit another light.
- Pranav (9/5): -
- Iain (8/5): - Location The food in bar shocking and poor value
- JaynieW (5/5): - Liked the price The TV was so small it was on the opposite side of the bed and by the time you could hear it, it started vibrating and you lost the announciation of the programming. Bar closed at 9.45pm!

- michael (5/5): Okay but won't visit this one again. - Nice sized room with good size tv.Breaskfast was half desent. Most of the staff were pleasant. Only one hand towel & one bath towel.Meal's ordered had some element's missing.Tables in bar were sticky.Room not serviced unless you put card on door.
- Pamela (8/5): Good valve for the price paid and friendly staff, with good range of food and beers etc - The room was good valve for price paid, clean and comfortable with tea and coffee available. Good shower. Breakfast was good for the price. Ate tea in and off the menu good selection ro chose from. Staff really friendly & helpful. No charge for the parking. With morning breakfast the coffee machine was out of order not the fault of the staff but the service company of the machine
- faulkner (8/5): Good for an overnight stay or good value for a few days -
- Ann (1/5): - Nothing The room was accessed via the carpark. The outside tables (beer garden) all had ashtrays which had not been emptied. The smell of stale cigarettes inside the room was so bad that we decided not to stay. When I went to give the key back, the staff couldn't have cared less.
- Jacqueline (8/5): - The staff were very friendly. The shower was lovely and hot. The room was nice and warm and the bed was comfy. It was a little awkward to get in and out of the shower because of the sink. The decor of the whole place is in need of redoing
- Daffydd (8/5): Look forward to a future return visit - Warm Welcome & Checkout, conveniently located/easy to find. Lighting in Bedroom seems very dim..presumably low wattage bulbs. Lack of Razor socket in Bathroom.
- Christine (5/5): - Location Food was cold, Room had missing panel in wardrobe, very dusty, bathroom minute
- KEVIN (7/5): Would stay again - Accommodation was good and the staff were friendly, would stay again. Nothing
- Ceri (3/5): -
- stephen (7/5): A reasonable place to stay, probably on the expensive side of value vs quality. The food was nice and the staff we dealt - The property is conveniently situated and has the facility to provide food and drinks on site which allowed us to stay in once we arrived.
The food is simple and good value for money. The tables were a bit sticky.
The bathroom door in rm 10 was squeaky and at night woke the other person up.
- Camellia-oana (1/5): -
- Leszek Ciesiolka (9/5): Good value and helpful staff, not intrusive. - The room was spacious and the hotel offered ample parking, which was very convenient. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere at night and the friendly, professional staff who were helpful without being intrusive. With good food and a reasonable price point, it offered excellent value for money. Weird noise coming out from the sink in my bathroom 🤔
- Viviane (5/5): -
- Smith (10/5): - food was good, staff were nice, large room comfy bed no Marstons beer or any bitters on draft
- Smith (10/5): really enjoyed our stay, very well cooked food, lovely room - really nice hotel, friendly staff, lovely food, nice rooms would have been nice to have had some Marston beer on tap
- Doreen (4/5): Not a very good place to stay - Staff friendly. Not very clean and could not sleep with traffic
Every time lorry's went past the room was shaking
- Keri (10/5): -
- Owen (5/5): -
- Coral (10/5): 2 night stay - Absolutely wonderful staff. Callum the manager is friendly, helpful, cheerful, and very accomadaing. Made us feel very welcome and at home.
- Coral (10/5): -
- Julie (7/5): Pleasant, accommodating and professional - The room, the staff, the restaurant was lovely but unfortunately there was no running water in the morning due to a burst pipe. I will say though the staff were very accommodating and apologetic. A refund is being processed. The noise next door was slightly disturbing but that wasn't really an issue.
- Ndhlovu (10/5): We enjoyed the stay. Couldn’t fault anything - Everything was just spot. Very pleased. Will definitely call again Nothing
- Alex (7/5): -
- Keith (4/5): Very poor. - The location is good. Have stayed here before Standard has dropped. Rude manager. Almost lazy .
The room wasn't clean on arrival We asked for it to be cleaned. This seemed inconvenient
Breakfast was rubbish. Went elsewhere the second morning
Have stayed here before and it was very good. Standard has really dropped. Oh the windows in the room are filthy. Won't be back sorry
- Thomas (9/5): -
- Marion (10/5): Nice ace to stay - I had a lovely stay at the Admirals Table Inn. The room was lovely and spacious with an enormous bed. The bathroom was tiny but didnt spend much time in there so it didn't matter. The gentleman on reception/bar ( sorry I didn't get his name) was very polite and friendly. I was made to feel welcome. Breakfast was lovely - full English with continental. Not the hotels fault but there wasn't a bus stop nearby to catch a bus into Bridgwater - not that i could find any how.
- Stephen (10/5): -
- howard (6/5): It serverd its purpose for one night - Parking No Draft ale, no tv in bar too many steps no SUB sockets in room. Electric sockets on one side of bed
Smelt like stale smoke carpet not clean
- Rosemary (6/5): A convenient overnight stopover with pros and cons, depending on your priorities. - Very comfortable bed and good hot water supply, modern bathroom, and the room and ensuite both clean. I chose the place for its accessibility from the M5 and distance from work the next morning, not for looks. The staff were pleasant and the pub was not noisy or rowdy. Double glazed windows kept the road at bay. Sorry to say the tables in the bar where breakfast was available were sticky, and the floor likewise. Whilst the brekka was wholesome and perfectly adequate, not all the published "choose from" list was apparent.
The lighting in my room was dim - one 3 prong ceiling fitting minus a bulb, and no ready/bedside light.
Not sure why a large, framed photo of three beer cans (over the bedhead) would be the art pic of choice, but that's just a matter of taste, I suppose!
- vic (9/5): -
- Simon (10/5): - Location Nothing
- Tanya (8/5): - Good location, comfortable beds, nice food, friendly staff Glass dirty, dust on kettle, lamps, mirrors, cup tray.
- Anne (10/5): Weekend of carnival - Great greeting
Very friendly staff
Great room - big bed ✔✔ No dislikes
- Theresa (5/5): Stay - Staff especially callusm and two staff who worked on Friday 31st brilliant just fantastic Pub in need of attention, dirty, tired a great shame
Obviously having issues or changes behind the scenes
- John (8/5): Delightful - Staff very friendly and helpful. Needs a complete overhaul
- Carl (5/5): - Bed was very comfy
Big warm room We got food in the bar and when it came out the food was frozen in the middle.
Another time it took 45 mins to get our food order.
Very low lighting in the bedroom.
- nigel (5/5): It served its purpose but would not rush back. - Location Lack of room tidying service. Bed not made once in 6 days, bin to emptied, coffee tea and milk not replenished, had to buy milk etc. to have a coffee. Towels not changed.
- Mick (10/5): Value for money - It was a last minute stay and the staff were great Nothing
- Pavlína (9/5): Very comfortable and spacious! - Lovely and spacious room Bit nosey from the road
- Declan (8/5): - Easy to find from motorway, lots of parking, good communication re check in
- yvonne (8/5): The bed was very comfortable, but everything else was just adequate. - Breakfast was adequate The bathroom could have been cleaner.
- Teresa (10/5): -
- Stephanie (4/5): - Location The hotel was close to roadworks and my room was shuddering as lorries went past . It was clean but basic and definitely needed an upgrade at the price. The food was very Pub grub and should have more facilities for those who need gluten free and vegetarian for example. I was very disappointed.
- Alastair (7/5): Stay was much as expected. Staff engagement was a bonus. - Service was excellent. Did much to accommodate coeliac dietary requirements. Room was a bit tired. Needed decorating.
- Michelle (3/5): Won’t be back! - Large bedroom size Dirty, dusty windowsills and windows
Stains on carpet
No toiletries in bathroom
Stains on tiles in bathroom
- Daniel (1/5): Bad food, bad drink, poor quality for an extortionate price. - Nothing It was all worn out. Needs a complete refurbishment
- Graham (1/5): The pub/hotel was adequate for our needs but better care should have gone into room preparation - The staff were friendly but after we discovered a problem with a blocked toilet in one of our rooms and reported it, it appeared that no action was taken, rendering the room unnusable! Our main problem was the insanitary condition of my daughter's room rendering it unusable and our subsequent and still ongoing battle to get our room fee refunded after having virtually no way to contact or speak to anyone at booking.com
- Ben (6/5): One night stay - Parking no problem . Sadly for a real ale pub there was non on . I would not stay here again if in the area .
- Chanelle (10/5): Great stay! Lovely hotel and pub. - Lovely restaurant and pub downstairs and room was cosy to stay in come with nice complimentries and have a nice view of hills. Not very local to many facilities, have fast food and Asda express but not much else.
- Sharman (8/5): Excellent as near m5 motorway! - The comfortable bed, spacious room tv and also electric fan x
- paul (6/5): - The room was ok comfy bed slept well. The pub and toilets where dated and not clean as was the outside areas
- Graham (4/5): Disgusting Place - Everything about this place is disgusting. Below expected standards. would not recommend this place to anyone
- Hill (7/5): - Location and parking. Room shook constantly. It was that bad I google earthquakes in the area. It was the floorboards!
- John & Jayne (2/5): - Near the M5 Road works outside we were not told of. Very hot so had to have windows open very busy traffic most of the night.
There was a fan but not very strong.
If we had been advised of the road works we would of stayed elsewhere.
Don't get room 4, it's right on the main road.
Wanted to share 2 pictures from outside so 1 has been put as bathroom.
This really didn't start my holiday very well as going to Devon. Plus I have a motonuron disease which was affected by lack of sleep.
Just wanted out.
- Jayne (8/5): - The staff were really friendly and helpful, the breakfast was super Ww had a very spacious room, but it was on the main road, and despite the Double glazing the way the lorries thundered past it vibrated quite a bit
- Tara (4/5): - The bedroom was very big and comfortable
- Olerato (9/5): - The staff were friendly and the place was clean Everything was good
- Darren (5/5): -
- Nicholas T J (1/5): - Prompt check-in to get to my booked disabled twin bedroom with a toilet, sink and shower large room, bathing area!! 3 faults with the bedroom.
Carpet had not hoovered found an old cig end butt on the carpet as I walked into the bedroom unfortunately!!
Sink plug got completely stuck and I could get it freed up that Friday night!!
One of the bedside table lamps had gone out, stopped working unfortunately that night - - just my luck!! They say it happens in threes!!
Otherwise, it was all not too bad, and the bed was very hard, just how I like them!!
and the night was fairly quite thankfully for sleeping and I awoke about 08.30am/09.0phrs, am and was still not hungry from the previous evening s nice dinner two courses and two soft drinks for approx 30pds in cash payment!!
- Nicholas T J (1/5): - On checking in the young Mgr lady was very polite and helpful in the main bar area.
I'd unfortunately accidentally left a personnel item there the week before and the Mgr Young Girl, sorted that out very promptly for me, as I got checked in, thankfully!!
I'd booked a table, on my own for dinner, for about 19.15hrs,pm.
I eventually found my ground floor disabled room, outside off the smallish rear car park and it was a good size twin bedroom thankfully. With a fully walking disabled toilet and shower very large cubicle area to shower in also!! I'd just needed to have a shave that Friday evening, and I'd run some water in the small sink and, unfortunately I couldn't get the sink plug to release, to empty, flush away the water from, in the sink!! The sink plug was well and truly stuck tight!! So I just left it, to tell the breakfast staff on, on checking out on Saturday morning at 11am!! The bedroom carpet, hadn't been hoovered that morning, before I checked in unfortunately!! Also one of the bedroom side bed unit lights, bulbs had also gone out completely, and didn't work unfortunately for my only one night's stay also!!
On checking out, the following Saturday morning at 11am, I didn't have any breakfast and went into the main bar restaurant, table backroom large area of the Inn, Pub to give the bedroom key back in, and the extremely nice, polite Older lady on that morning with a young manager Type lad, who was extremely V thin build, I think was on, I told the older lady about the three problems I had in my disabled room, that Friday evening, Saturday morning - - and she was lovely, and was very interested in the 3 faults, I had and I asked her to pass them on to the duty manager, too note, and hopefully I prove by my next stay at the admiral table, at Bridgewater, Somerset, England hopefully !!??
Other than that, I had a lovely quiteish large bedroom, too my self for the night and had a two course - - dinner, tea meal in the bar which was not too bad, the main meal - - a green Thai curry with a little rice was, abit cold, as I was abit slow in finishing a medium prawn cocktail with 4 bits of brown bread and butter, that evening unfortunately, as I'm a V slow eater, unlike my older brother!!
But the main meal - - green Thai curry with a piece on half breast of chicken was very nice and fresh and I enjoyed both courses of the food there, and have some normal garlic bread, and two soft drinks, until about 20.14,25hrs,pm and then retired to my bedroom for the evening to try and get some much need sleep, as I just had a journey from hell, caught in a tailback on the M5 southbound, from Gloucester to bridgewater the beginning of August 2025 summer, very hot, warm evening and the car journey was completely hellish, bumper to bumper and I'd set off at 3.15pm that afternoon and arrived at the admirals table Inn, Pub at about 18.15/20hrs, pm that Friday 2nd evening visiting the site, Inn, Pub!!
- Toni (3/5): Was disappointed - Beds were comfortable and clean The rooms and pub need a good clean , dust and cobwebs everywhere. We were sat outside having a drink we were asked at 9.45 if we wanted any more drinks as the bar was closing and the door was lock we had another door to use to get in to the rooms did not expect this as it says bar open till 11 pm . Breakfast wasn’t great we have stayed at a Marston’s before up north not a patch on it very disappointed.
- Bowater (1/5): - Up from 2am till 6am with a tv on loading in next room. Knocked on door several times but no answer. Complained and staff were not interested Staffs attitude
- wayne (10/5): - Arrived late, got the poor manager out to open up, which he did with a smile. Very friendly very accommodating and a good breakfast.
- Lynda (10/5): - Nice place Restaurant seemed to close early. Couldn't order meal at 8.20 pm and bar was shut by 9pm.
- Sam (2/5): - I booked last minute and it was terrible. Dirty room facing a busy dual carriageway. Single glazed windows let in a lot of noise and draft. Furniture shakes when a lorry drives past. It was a local Biker night on the night I stayed so no parking and locals very unwelcoming. Bar staff extremely rude and disinterested.
- Janice (1/5): - Nothing Dirty .No drinking water in room. Not enough tea or coffee facilities. Paid for a carvery but as soon as we got our food started packing away..Traffic on road kept us awake all night which was meant to be a stop over before continued our journey. The images are nothing like the real state of the room.
- Colin (2/5): Bad - Did not like the carpet needs replacing Everything
- Joan (4/5): Tiny bathroom - Handy for the M5 for a stop over In room 14 the bathroom was tiny, you had to sit sideways on the toilet. The room hadn't been dusted for a while and the windows had obviously been open for some time as cobwebs had formed in the gaps.
- Emma (8/5): - Reasonably priced big room with all amenities needed
Only criticism would be the info on the website is wrong as said we had till 11pm to check in but we were out and they rang and said they actually close at 10 so we had to rush to get there
- fletcher (10/5): -
- Ishmael (7/5): The staff were friendly and welcoming. Properly was in a good location just off the motorway. - Comfortable bed. Stairs to bedroom. Room seemed in need of refurbishment.
- Bretton (2/5): - Food, room cleanliness and customer service were well below an acceptable level. Spent over £1,300 there and manager didn't address any issues we politely raised. Diabolical and not what one expects from a Marston Inns badged premises...
- Stevens (9/5): - The room was spacious, really comfy beds and clean. Nice big t.v. aswell. They shut the pub bar an hour before they was supposed to, good job I'd got 4 cans before we checked in 🤣.
- craig (8/5): -
- Ady (6/5): - We had a few of issues to begin with which were sorted out quickly and efficiently, a front room which was changed to a back room, a TV remote that wasn't working (they changed the batteries) and a cloudy lager that was exchanged with no quibbles. The bedroom was generally ok, but would have benefitted with brighter bedside lighting and the mould in the en-suite ceiling needs sorting, the remainder of the en-suite was very clean.
Generally the hotel looked in need of refreshing, but again the staff were very good and attentive.
- Deborah (8/5): Stop over - Easy to get to, nice staff. Fixed shower head, great if you're looking to wash your hair as well. The room was very hot and the fan did not make an ounce of difference and leaving the window open was not an option because of the noise level of passing traffic.
- Lynda (8/5): Very enjoyable and will go again. - The Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very good and plenty and a good price. Room was spacious and clean as was the en suite. Unfortunately for them and us the industrial estate was opposite and road works were under way. The property was tired but clean.
- Stuart (9/5): Nice place, nice location. I do one night stop - Location was superb. The property was superb, the staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for us. It was just a shame that the entrance was rather untidy overgrown plants and rotting leaves and cigarette and stew all over the place. It needed somebody to take care of the entrance because it was very pretty apart from that With nothing I didn’t like apart from the untidiness of the entrance
- Peter (1/5): Horrible.left the property at 4am next day - Nothing. It was an absolute crap hole. Everything. It was disgusting.
- Andrew (4/5): -
- lynn (8/5): -
- Stephen (3/5): - Only thing I liked was the bed was comfortable. The family room needed a lot to be desired.Carpet was stinking, the kettle was disgusting inside, only one shower towel in the bathroom, room needs a complete overhaul.
- Raymond (3/5): Very noisy room at Admiral's Table. - It has free parking. Close to the motorway noise all night & even the room vibrating with traffic. Beds were clean glasses were dirty, the toilet was very stained room was very dated. Our room was overlooking the road so the noise was terrible.
- Kate (10/5): -
