• Daniela (7/5): Great location & good food - Great location, close to restaurants, historic significance in town. The food was good and the breakfast buffet ample. Too many stairs to get to the rooms on the third floor. Quite a challenge to carry luggage up.

• Marco T'73 (9/5): Non si può chiedere di meglio a Poschiavo e dintorni - Hotel storico, tranquillo, situato nel pieno centro del paese: in zona non si può chiedere di meglio. Personale disponibile e simpaticissimo. Varietà della colazione migliorabile visto lo standard dell'Hotel.

• André (9/5): Schöne Atmosphäre dank sehr freundlichem Personal und der guten Küche, historisch mit Kompromissen - Wir waren über den Jahreswechsel da, also sehr viel los im Hotel und Restaurant. Das Personal war äusserst freundlich, professionell und hilfsbereit, besonders am Sylvesterabend, als das Haus bis zum letzten Platz ausgebucht war. Das Sylvester-Menü war grossartig, Kompliment! Die Speise- und Weinkarte sind reichhaltig und haben viele interessante Möglichkeiten. Uns hat auch die neu umgebaute Bar gefallen. Bei zwei Übernachtungen ist der öffentliche Verkehr (Bahn zwischen Tirano und Ospizio Bernina und Busse) enthalten. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis! Historisch ok, aber.... Das historische Zimmer ist zwar gut gemacht und komfortabel. Man muss sich darauf einstellen, dass zwischen den Betten ein grosser Spalt von etwa 30 cm ist, der nicht überbrückt werden kann. Da gäbe es sicher Lösungen. So ein Zimmer würden wir nicht mehr buchen. Die kostenlosen Parkplätze des Hotels sind beschränkt, darüber wurden wir leider nicht informiert, sonst hätten wir das mitgebucht, und wir mussten das Auto beim Friedhof auf einem öffentlichen P abstellen, etwa 500 Meter entfernt und gebührenpflichtig.

Camera 11 molto spaziosa, anche per il cane.

• Margaret (10/5): Charming historic hotel in pretty Poschiavo. - I liked being able to stay in a hotel over 300 years old that still retains historic charm and ambience but is comfortable with a modern facilities. The staff were all very hospitable and the continental breakfast was generous and varied. The hotel is also conveniently located in the historic town square and a 5 minute walk from the railway station, for a Bernina Express stopover in picturesque Poschiavo. Nothing.

• Matthew (9/5): Very atmospheric old hotel - Great location in very picturesque village. Room was comfortable with antique bed and furniture. Guest card gives free train, bus and museum entrance. Really good bonus! Hotel organises quite a few events meaning that the whole first floor can be be full with 50+ people eating (the restaurant is downstairs). Not the end of the world and we could not hear anything once the bedroom door was shut.

The main hotel has a couple of rooms where the original flooring, panelling etc has been maintained. The ceilings are fantastic. When busy, the hotel has other rooms just down the street. These are still in a historic building. The rooms are very comfortable. And everything is central. Couldn't say I didn't not like anything. It was all great.

• Denise (10/5): Wow. Just wow! - This boutique hotel was built in 1856, has most of the original character but with modern ensuite bathrooms installed in the spacious rooms. It is located within easy walking distance (with luggage) from the Poschiavo train station and right on the lovely town square. Our welcome was warm and friendly. We were given a quick tour of the historical hotel and shown to our room. We thought the comment "you will be sleeping in a museum" was funny, but that's exactly what it was. We loved it. The one downside however, is, if you are a light sleeper, two of the three towers very close by chime every hour. There is no aircon and the bedding is winter weight and too warm. We loved the experience, besides the fact neither slept at all well. It is a charming village with great restaurants. On Wednesdays during Summer there is a lively market in the square. TIP: if you are catching the Bernina Express to Tirano, don't stop off in Tirano, stay overnight in Poschiavo and transit Tirano to complete your trip.
• Rebecca (9/5): Convenient and private. - We stayed in the annexe, which suited us well being conveniently located, yet outside the busy area (although Poschiavo is a quiet place). Not characterful like the main hotel but self-contained, spacious, and easy to come and go. Comfortable bed, well-sized shower room. Friendly welcome. Kitchenette was not really functional but the little fridge and a kettle were helpful, the breakfast was sufficient (short walk to the main hotel).

Location is just great and the building is also impressive. One could visit various rooms in the hotel. When one asks, one can get a glutenfree bread, which is great. Staff is also very friendly and nice. We firstly received a room in a different building which did not have just a historic spirit we expected from pics on booking. We changed the room and paid a bit more, but we could stay in the main building which had a more of historic feeling in the room.

• Yih (8/5): Very clean, well provided room - easy access to Train station ! - I accidentally booked the "Modern" building, so i got lift, no need to climb the stairs. Breakfast is great. Room has everything provided, from bedroom slippers to shower gel. I think no toothbrush, but i have my own. Ok, alittle bit more expensive, since i dont really need alot of facilities. Great that they provided guests who stayed 2 nights minimum with free train/bus pass up to Ospizio Bernina. I did not use the swimming pool... i dont know if i am entitled to use it, since i was with the other modern building (the Dependence room). A little inconvenient, as the reception is in the other building, ok like 1-2 mins walk to next block of building. I think the mattress is not really firm enough for my liking. But all is good.
• Elyse (10/5): Charming hotel in delightful village - Very charming! Both the hotel and the dependence are beautifully-restored historic buildings in the center of the village. We stayed in the dependance, which is around the corner (next to the Hotel Suisse). The room was large and impeccably clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom was and modern. There are common spaces on the second and third floor, which would come in handy for an extended stay (sort of like a lobby area). Breakfast was wonderful! We also had dinner in the hotel which was very good. The double bed is just two twin beds pushed together, which is not unusual but should be noted. We came by train so I'm not sure where you would park if you came by car.

Everything is clean and it is understandable that we cannot compare this with a modern hotel. The bathroom was a bit small for 2 and the room could have more luggage holders. Overall still very happy with the stay. The staff made this place personal, that is a huge positive. We felt very welcomed.
