I paid online the property had issue with the booking.com site payment the man was so hateful and told me to cancel it is non refundable!! booking.com said they would cover a new reservation elsewhere but I have to pay up front and they will reimburse me but I have no more money for another reservation!! so now its 330AM fixing to storm and im just stuck out with no where to go!!

- Martina (4/5): Privacy violated - The room and check in process was good. The young man checking us in was nice and helpful. He gave us two rooms that were next to each other on the first floor. My mom is handicapped, so that was great. On our last day, the maid just walked into our rooms unannounced. I was in the shower and she opened the door and tried to come in. She did the same thing to my mom in her room. It was well before check out time, around 10am. The maid knew we were still in our rooms because our TVs were on and our car was parked out front. This is unacceptable, no hotel employee should EVER just walk into a guests room. I told the owner about this, and he acted like it was ok for the maid to do that. Unbelievable! We felt violated and uncomfortable.

He got short with me and was impatient and warned me against having people over which I hadn't planned on in the first place.

Needles to say, I really need to see my chiropractor now that we're home. The tub was really slick. I finally had to put a towel down to keep from falling in the shower.

Male at front desk when we arrived was rude, stating things like if you smoke or I smell it I charge! They are pet friendly but charge you a fee once your there but not through the booking site.

- Gene (2/5): - There was no mention of a pet fee when I booked the reservation. When I checked in they asked if I had a dog I said yes. They informed me of the fee. Then on the last day of the stay they saw that I had two dogs and doubled the pet fee. They never mentioned it was a per dog fee and never asked me how many dogs I had. That was their mistake not mine. Also the TV was a piece of crap. All I could get was streaming channels. I could not get network TV. I will never stay at a Regency Inn again.

I was hassled mult - -The tv worked -The sheets and pillow cases were both clean. -Location -The chair & ottoman were absolutely disgusting; old crumbs, torn and badly stained. (See pic) -The coffee machine had an old moldy coffee pack still inside -The light above the bed was broken. -The pullout couch bed was rusted and filthy -The bathroom door lock was broken (see pic) -The bathroom door was broken (see pic) -The cable outlet was broken (see pic)

Worn but well restored and great smiling staff keeps everything well groomed. I felt totally safe. I will stay here again. Great price for budgets. Door needed repair and lock loose

- Dustin (3/5): Id rather travel further for a nicer/cleaner hotel. - Only one hotel in the town so it was convenient as very close to where I needed to work. Outdated, when we got to our room there was no a/c for a hot summer day and the room was at 90 degrees and took the whole afternoon through night to finally get cool. You could also hear neighbors and furniture was very worn out.

- Verified traveler (2/5): This hotel--I don't trust it anymore. - My reservation was for a suite on 8-17-24, made on 8-6-2024. I called 8-14-24 and confirmed with the employee on duty my reservation for a suite at the Regency Suites in Gladewater Texas; and that we could check in early b/w 2 pm and 2:30 pm (check in is 3 PM). The employee on duty said, "we don't have any Queen beds available on the 1st floor for the 17th." On 8-17-24, I called at 1:45 PM to verify early check in and was told the following: there is a $10.00 early check in fee (since when?!!! I've never been charged an early check in fee) and that our suite had been given away to someone else!! When we arrived around 2:15 pm, the employee on duty said he couldn't see when our suite was given away; and that we could have a room with 2 queen beds on the 1st floor (I was told there weren't any available). Long story short--The young man on duty "waived" the $10.00 fee. He claimed that he gave me "the better price for our room" since we had to take a room with queen beds (Since when? The Suite and the rooms with 2 queen beds are the same price!) When we entered the double queen bed room, #104, --it was littered with dead bugs. He swept up the bugs. Please note: This was in East Texas with >100 degree temperatures. The control buttons on the AC unit that changed the temperature ( up and down arrows) didn't work. The employee was aware of this malfuction in the AC unit, since he couldn't get the buttons to work either. What an awful experience!

And had booked the room several weeks in advance so they new I was coming

- Riley (3/5): Never gonna stay there again. - Nothing actually Guy who checked us in was so rude. Kept asking me about smoking and extra charge. I told him I have never smoked In a hotel room. Made sure he charged me right because I thought he was wanting more $ He was just rude. Room was not good. Hole in bathroom door. Couldn't shut door. Just was not a good hotel. Trashy people hanging outside. Would not go outside after dark.
- Rosalie (1/5): Worst stay ever - I didn't like any of it. Way too expensive. Bad part of town. The only of two hotels in that entire city. Rude management. Hidden fees. The list goes on and on Check the answer before because it tells you multiple things I disliked about this location plus they had no vending that really worked. The coke machine only took quarters and the other vending machine only had three items in it. Management walked in the room whenever they wanted to without any notice. Harassed for sitting outside waiting for an Uber. I most disrespectful staff I've ever met. We've been staying in hotels for a few months getting ready to move and I will never recommend this motel. They're charging as much as a five star hotel for a room that had bugs and a broken refrigerator and dirty stains on the bathtub. And the most uncomfortable furniture.
