Guest Reviews
- Nancy (10/5): - The room was beautiful. The staff were kind and they accommodated my food allergies. The gardens were gorgeous. We loved being able to walk across the street and be on the beach!
- Fred (10/5): Great place to unwind and relax. - A very relaxing stay. Location was very convenient. Breakfast was outstanding. Very nice amenities, the entire family enjoyed it.
- DAVID (10/5): - Nice place. Great amenities
- Mark (8/5): - Good, but not excellent.
- Brenda (10/5): - Great place to stay. The grounds are amazing. The pool was very nice. The breakfast was very good. The Douglas public beach is across the street but it’s a lot of steps down to the beach. Lots to climb back up. Our bed was a little hard for my personal preference but not bad. Was able to watch the sunset from the front yard.
- Olga (10/5): The most serene and perfect stay for a couple! - We had the most serene and lovely stay at Rosemont Inn! Steps away from the beach, comfortable, quiet, peaceful and lovely all around! It’s a clean and well taken care of property. It is over 125 years old, keep that in mind, so it has its own charm. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, we loved reading in the backyard. They have beach towels and chairs to rent for free. Bike rentals as well. Free parking. A sauna (didn’t get to try this time), but also a lovely pool! They have a fridge for guests use, so you can store a few things if needed. We loved the kitties, they were the sweetest furry companions! The inn is perfectly located to enjoy the beach and all the lovely charm and businesses that Douglas has to offer. Make sure to check out outside coffee, Penny Royal coffee and provisions, Farmhouse Deli and Everyday People Cafe!
- George (10/5): Loved the Rosemont Inn - The Inn is beautiful and comfortable. The back yard grounds are gorgeous. I used the hot tub, the sauna, and the heated pool. Breakfast was good. Right across the street from the access to the beach.
- Oran (10/5): - We Loved every bit of staying here. I haven’t been that relaxed in a very long time. We will most definitely be back.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Think twice… - The male owner is rude. The female owner was drunk and rude Saturday night. We were chastised in front of other guests about eating too many snacks from the “help yourself to snacks” area.
Beautiful Inn…the owners should have kept their Chicago attitudes in Chicago.
Don’t expect good hospitality, but the property is A+, but epic fail who owns it.
- Chritopher (10/5): - A great mix of well maintained historical structure and fixtures with modern amenities. The owners/staff were very friendly and helpful. They've thought of and provided features to enhance the stay. The outside yard is inviting. All-in-all, it was a very pleasant stay in a wonderful setting. I will recommend it, and will come back.
- Lisa (10/5): - Beautiful area right across the road from Lake Michigan. Property had everything you could ask for. Beautiful outdoor area and pool.
- Lisa (10/5): - Our room was snug but comfortable. Location was perfect. Breakfast was fantastic every morning!
- Joyce (10/5): - The location is superb! Beach directly in front of B&B ~ they have everything out for you to enjoy ~ beach chairs, towels. The yard is magical. Your own paradise of flowers and koi pond. Breakfast was excellent. Pool was perfect for a relaxing dip. I was really impressed by the property. Thank you for an excellent vacation. We will definitely be back!
- Heather (10/5): Peaceful place - Very peaceful place to stay.
Everything was clean.
Breakfast was delicious!
Lots of places to hang out inside and outside.
The pool was nice and heated.
They thought of everything to make your stay comfortable.
- Steve (8/5): NIce place by the lake - This is a nice, well run B&B. They provide towels and chairs for the beach and have bikes to use. Breakfasts are good. Rooms are pretty small.
- Kate (10/5): - This was my 2nd year staying here and it was just as perfect as the first time! Great location, amenities, and people. A true gem!!
- James C (10/5): - We had a wonderful time during our fall leaf trip. Our room was spotless, and we enjoyed hearing the lake while in our room. We woke up to the wonderful smells of a tasty and filling breakfast. The owners/staff were tentative and friendly. As a bonus, the garden and grounds looked fantastic!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice place.across from lake Michigan, good breakfast, nice people, cool cats
- Jim (10/5): - We enjoyed everything about the Rosemont from location to front porch to the incredible breakfast. Owners very nice and friendly. Felt right at home from the start. Loved it and will return for sure. Thank you for a great weekend.
- Michael (10/5): - it eas very well kept up
- Julie (10/5): - Lovely place. Will definitely stay there again.
- Patrick (10/5): - For a B&B they offered amazing options to relax, use the sauna, hot tub, heated pool. Nice breakfast, very friendly people. Very easy going
- David (8/5): - Loved the food and the peaceful adults-only environment. Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the two cats and the dogs on the property. They were not obtrusive or aggressive, so folks who are not animal lovers need not worry. Pet lovers can pet them if they want. Rooms are small, but very clean. Multiple stairs to navigate to get down to the lake. Tough on senior citizens to walk up and down. Overall positive for the property and staff and food.
- Tim (10/5): - Property was awesome.
There was nothing to be unliked!
- Catherine (10/5): Rosemont Inn Resort B&B - Our stay at the Rosemont Inn Resort B&B was amazing. We felt welcomed, comfortable, and relaxed. Place was spotless inside and out. The pool and gardens in the back yard provided a serene atmosphere, and the Douglas Beach across the road was beautiful.
- Lydia (8/5): - We loved the location, and the quaint property! The kitties outside were adorable!
- bruce E. (10/5): - We loved the location and convenience to dining and shopping.
- Terry (10/5): - Lovely garden with fountains.
- Corey A (10/5): - Great service and accommodating.
- Keith (10/5): - Better than I expected.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our stay was great. Very comfortable room. Our hostess was lovely to get to know and an amazing cook. We had an excellent time.
- Barbara (8/5): - We have stayed here several times over the past 20 years. As always, the staff was very friendly, our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. That said, the property is showing it’s age and is need of a refresh. The decor is exactly the same as it was almost 20 years ago.
- Laurence (8/5): Charming B&B - The location was great and the breakfast amazing. The property was a bit dated but we met the new owners who have many plans for updating the property
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owners are extremely nice. Great service and great breakfast every morning. Hot tub sauna is also great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff, excellent food, beautiful location.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Did not even get a chance to check in, confirmed with expedia for my reservation and confirmed with hotel. Then they called me the day before to tell me they didnt have my room and were sold out. Ruined my labor day plans. The hotel management said they would give me a free night stay because they messed up on their inventory but I didnt even get that. Horrible customer service they are private owned not a company so dont expect anything out of them when they mess up their room inventory. They sell more rooms then they have.
- Alexander (10/5): Fun weekend - Fantastic inn run by great people. The breakfast was great and downtown is easy to access.
- Laura (4/5): First B&B and probably our last. - First B&B and probably our last. The staff and the guests were nice. Breakfast was the best part of the stay. Room was dirty, pool was dirty, good thing the bikes were free to use since I don’t think they have been time up in years and it took several tries to find one that didn’t squeak as you peddled. Overall the property needs an update and a lot of main rance to the exterior and grounds.
- Traveler (8/5): - The location makes this a quiet and relaxing spot to visit and unwind. The front porch is a great spot for a glass of wine or cup of tea as is the pool area or deck. The breakfasts were outstanding - prepared and served with a great deal of care and high quality, fresh ingredients. There was a lot of thought directed to serving a wonderful meal within Covid-19 era restrictions. The inn has a lot of amenities - pool, sauna, hot tub. We stayed at the Inn more than 15 years ago and it was in much better shape; it was disappointing that there were maintenance issues (not cleanliness - fixing stuff type) that were just not getting done.
And, no fault of the Inn proprietors, the Douglas Beach has been closed due to high water and significant erosion. Oval beach is still as wonderful as is Douglas and Saugatuck. We were saddened to see, as a result of COVID pressures, some great places to eat have closed.
- John (10/5): - This place was amazing! Definetly gonna stay again! Staff is super friendly and makes sure you have all you need.
- Charles (10/5): Wonderful experience - Wonderful location and wonderful people. We will definitely come back for another stay.
- Greg (10/5): - The guests have separate entrance to a common area with popcorn snacks and drinks anytime... my favorite is waking in the morning to Pats baking that fills the air.... her peach cobbler was my favorite. The property is across the street from the beach, saw 2 bald eagles, and deer in the yard. What is not to like, heated pool, Jacuzzi, bikes to ride, beach chairs and umbrellas for guests to use. The property is clean and very well kept. Pat and her sister Marsha were the best hosts and made us feel very welcome... I would recommend anyone visiting the Saugatuck area to stay at the Rosemont Inn.
- Dale (6/5): - The property was nice as was the host and her sister but it wasn’t a good value at $350/night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Breakfasts and Service - We loved our stay here. The breakfasts were amazing every day. We enjoyed ourselves at the pool, too. We walked along Lakeshore Drive in the mornings and it was so Gorgeous along the lakefront!! Our only less than perfect experience included the bed in room #1 (very hard) and the electrical power which is old (not sure if it's 118 yrs old but it's old) and would not support me using my blowdryer at the same time the wall a/c unit ran...it tripped the circuit for our room and room #2. So we learned to unplug the a/c while the blowdryer was running. I think it may have also been the source of the issue with the cable box which would blink off every few minutes then come back on...so we didn't watch much TV which wasn't a big deal. But, otherwise, it was lovely and relaxing and they took great care of us.
- Sherry (10/5): Rosemont Rocks for a Getaway - We loved the Inn and everything about it. The owner really cares about the guests and makes every effort to accommodate them. Proximity to beach and town are both quiet and close. The pool area is lovely
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice B&B in Douglas, MI Great breakfast served by the owner. Friendly staff, nice clean room. Nice gathering area with a fireplace and games.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Simply lovely. Great location, the staff is incredible. Very quiet and non-intrusive. Wait till you see the breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Marcia was so friendly and affable; she made us feel at home.
- Sharon (10/5): Lake Shore gem! - A true retreat on the shore of Lake Michigan. Friendly staff create a home away from home environment. We had a lovely stay
- Charles (10/5): Best bed and breakfast ever! - From the delicious breakfast in the morning to the quiet walks around the garden everything was delightful Pat and her family made us feel right at home.
- Verified traveler (10/5): First time at a B&B! - This was our first time staying at a B&B so we really didn't know what to expect. The location was perfect, right across the street from the beach. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and the homemade breakfast was amazing! I felt that the room was a little run down, but in a charming/cozy kind of way. It kind of felt like staying at Grandma's house for the weekend. Tucked away but close enough to enjoy all the offerings of Saugatuck and Holland.
- Jennifer (10/5): Cozy room and delicious breakfast! - My sister and I were marking a tough Mother's Day with a get away to the Tulip Festival. The Rosemont Inn was the perfect spot to rest after our day.
- Jill (10/5): Definitely recommend this B and B - Great area. Right across the street is access to a beautiful beach on Lake Michigan. Extremely friendly owners. Full spread of delicious options for breakfast. We will definitely stay here again.
- Tara (10/5): - It was so beautiful and such a cozy place to stay. Pat was so welcoming and is an amazing cook! We loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat.
- Robert (10/5): Ideal Lake Michigan getaway - Pat was an amazing hostess, and offered the best breakfast we have ever had at a B&B. Omelette with chives grown in the garden, pancakes with walnuts and blueberry, thick bacon, rosemary potatoes, assorted fruits, a yoghurt parfait, and great coffee. Any one or two of these would have been a great breakfast, but the combination of all of this was truly amazing. This is a spacious, stylish, clean, cozy and quiet B&B in a Victorian Inn (1901 with a series of respectful updates.) Easy access to the beach right across the lane, (amazing sunset for us!) Comfortable fourposter and in-room fireplace. Oh, and spa and sauna as well. I guess we like it...
- Natalya (10/5): Absolutely fantastic - Absolutely a great B&B overall; great host, great location, great breakfast. If you are looking for a romantic, quiet, relaxing B&B - this is it. The host did a fantastic job to make us feel welcome.
- Corinna (10/5): Cozy B &B on Lake Michigan - The Rosemont Inn B & B is a fabulous place to stay. It is located right by a beach on Lake Michigan, in a quiet neighborhood and only a few minutes from downtown Sagatuck and Douglas. The entire place is clean and cozy. The breakfast in the morning is amazing! They even made gluten free pancakes for us! I am looking forward to returning!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cozy winter time. Room very clean, great food - Cozy winter time. Could only imagine how great in summer or fall time.Room very clean, Breakfast was outstanding. Very close to Downtown saugatuck for wine tasting and great dinner at Crafy Brewery with live acoustic music.
