Guest Reviews
- MC (8/5): - Decent for the price tag. A lot of walking distance eateries around, very convenient.
- P (2/5): - All management already shutdown, restaurant too and still show got buffet breakfast, in the morning you got nasi lemak that worth RM 2.00 only . TV got not channel even local basic channel. Wifi that can't work with the password given.
- Mandeep (10/5): - Hotel Red is near to all touristic places like Twin towers, KL tower, China Market and Abdul Samad Building.
Hotel reception staff was very helpful. I requested for late check-out and they allowed till 1pm.
Room was clean and comfortable. Weighing machine was also provided in room and I found it very thoughtful as it helps to weigh check in luggage.
Breakfast was included in price and it's on 25th floor. I would suggest to go there by 6.45 to 7am to get awesome view of KL tower as it is all lit up.
Talking about food, there is enough variety to enjoy your time. I tried salad, hash browns, fish, omelette, toast with jam, crossiants and red Velvet muffins and I found everything delicious. For coffee, taste was different than the one we get in Canada but still enjoyable.
- Steve (4/5): - I've stayed at this hotel maybe 6 times over the last 2.5 years and while the concept and amenities are cool, the hotel fails to deliver. I don't blame the staff - who seem to try hard to fix problems - I blame the general management, who are simply allowing the hotel to slowly decline. Infrastructure issues every time I stay; this time the wifi, which is critical to my work. The staff simply ran out of spare routers and network resets after 10 hours of trying. Best they could get in my room was 6Mb/s instead of the usual 20-25Mb/s. I had to leave the hotel and was promised a refund for the balance of my stay (which has not yet appeared). Last time it was the TV. At one point there were 5 staff in my room trying to fix it - to no avail. The rooms are getting progressively dirtier with every visit because they're only getting a basic cleaning every day. It's a shame - I love the rooms and the pool, but in the short time they've been open, they simply haven't been able to get their heads around the technology they've put in place, and the general management have allowed the property to deteriorate.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had a great stay at Red by Sirocco, the room was very spacious and comfortable to stay in. The bathroom was very nice also.
The location of this hotel is quite close to Dang Wangi station (about a 5 minute walk), though we found ourselves taking a Grab more often than not. There were a nice street of great dining options leading to a big mall (opposite the Sheraton) less than 5 minutes on foot.
Being 2 female travellers we didn't feel entirely comfortable going about the alleyways around this property at night. We made sure to stick to main roads and to take grabs if we were coming back later in the night.
The breakfast buffet was quite good, inclusive of an omelette bar, a nasi lemak station, other hot foods (that weren't actually kept hot...), breads and pastries, and fresh fruits and vegetables. On the rooftop level overlooking the infinity pool, we always started off our day well. The infinity pool itself was the perfect temperature for hot KL afternoons, and it's usually not crowded which is good since the pool itself is not huge.
Overall, a very nice stay with Red by Sirocco.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great ambiance, stayed there for vacation with family. Highly recommended
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room is spacious and well-presented. Excellent location and good service. The only negative is the hot water in the shower turns lukewarm gradually after 3-5 mins.
- John (6/5): - Check I was efficient and courteous but even though I had booked a room with a king bed we were initially given a twin. Upon asking at reception a king bed was found.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Receptionist, housekeeping and security staff are very friendly and polite. Room decoration is nice and they take note on comment when i mentioned this is birthday celebration. It would be great if housekeeping could do something to get rid of the smell on the corridor outside the room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Lifts were small and slow. Long waiting time. Air conditioning in the room was not cold. Hotel was more 3stars at best not 4stars
- Rozaifee (10/5): - Love it and very convenience. Walking distance to starting point for my SCKLM run.
- nath (10/5): - Great location and rooms comes with balcony with city view was great
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was nice, great location. The pool bar was being remodeled but I’m sure it will be great when it’s done.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Unique decor, breakfast buffet, helpful staff and outside building mural made it easy to identify and find.
- Zoe (8/5): - Quiet location but yet convenient.
Room is spacious.
- Eric (10/5): Good, Safe, Clean - Staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. Good location for food and transportation. Loved the next door food eateries!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good service nice room beautiful view from woindoo
- 依 (6/5): No FREE lunch provided - They lied ya about the free lunch!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the place very frienddly staff i would stay there again. The only problem is that they house keeping never changed or made or bed. Was very disappointed with that.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff, room comfort and cleanliness were great. Sometimes had a long wait for the lifts and the breakfast not too my taste.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Room is clean and love the toiletry pack given.
Only challenge is that we will get wet when it rains , alighting from the car , to collect the parking card to activate the auto park function.
- Rkps (8/5): - Nice big and modern styled rooms. There is wear showing in some places, but overall good. They might want to do a little though cleaning under the beds.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great view by the pool, good service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked most of the things about this hotel staff was very helpfull very polite and very professional but were told when checking in I had to pay tourism tax which I paid something like 40 ringgit a day but when I was checking out I had to pay little more because the person took the money couldn’t do maths properly but rest was good.
- Promptpug (10/5): - Premium staffs premium service
- Binlinh (10/5): Great choice - Nice and clean ... big room and friendly staffs
- Promptpug (10/5): - This is a 5 stars service hotel !
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was nice, price was at a good discount, just odd that had to pay for parking.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Service is good!! Nice and clean.
They help me everything
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location - Issues with reception staff at first but sorted out by manager. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Good room facilities including small balcony. Bar quite pricey but apparently is independent of hotel. Average breakfast but good atmosphere , views and friendly staff in restaurant.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The rooftop pool/bar/breakfast area was fabulous, definite wow factor
- Sarah Rose (10/5): Best hotel klcc - The room was very well organised. Large space. Very clean. Very professionals staff. Will book again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All meet and exceed exoectation
- Sunman (10/5): Nice stay - Very clean hotel with nice staff. Room was very modern, clean and well designed. Area has two convenice stores and many local and international restaurants. Close to train samtation.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Great location. Poor service. Smelly carpets - 20 minutes walk to the Twin Towers. 10 minutes to supermarket.
Lobby staffs are friendly but don't know anything about the area, can't give any advice for tourist.
Carpets in the room and hallways are smelly.
Breakfast options is poor. Breakfast time is til 10.30. We came by 9 o'clock. Yogurt was finished. Bread, fruits, salad finished before 10. The cook at the egg station never give a sign that he acknowledges your order. He refused to make omelette even when all ingredients were there.
Elevators are very small and slow.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent place. Nice room. Nice view, good breakfast, good pool. Only few blocks to the metro station. Near to twin towers and KL tower, highly recommended,
- James (10/5): The best value KL has to offer. - We were there for 2 weeks. The room was a god send and we absolutely oved it. Breakfast was wonderful. Bar and roof top pool fabulous. And most important, the stay was with first class service from the front desk to the security to the wait staff. All wonderful. Great location to go to KLCC, Bukit Bentang, and KL Sentral.
- Thomas (10/5): Great place to stay! - Large clean modern rooms make Red hotel a great place to stay! Nice rooftop pool with views.
- JOSELITO (10/5): Balmie Balmaceda - Great hotel! Service is excellent and view in the rooftop is amazing. Room interior is excellent and staff go extra mile. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family.
- JOSELITO (10/5): Balmie Balmaceda - Great hotel. Extended 3 more days. Who would not love a freshly new bed sheet everyday, breakfast in the roof top. Great view of the city. Wish only that breakfast selection changes every 2 or 3 days as i am eating the same food everyday. Or try to introduce two new items everyday for breakfast. Overall i luv it here!
- Thomas (10/5): A Great Place! - This a new modern hotel with large clean rooms. It has a beautiful outdoor view rooftop pool on the 25th floor, where they serve breakfast in the morning and cocktails in the evening.
- Peter (4/5): - Good facilities good value for money nice staff but bad flexibility. I booked 2 separate nights here with one side trip to Malacca in between. Hoping to store lugge here for my return do that I can bring simple stuff for ease of travel, the hotel rejected, saying that it is against hotel policy. Escalating to the managerial level still had the stance maintained. This is not usual in my travel experience. Being a senior citizen by age, I have to take the unnecessary stuff with me all the way and come back. They are not thinking on customer side. The hotel management should bear the responsibility.
- DAZHONG (10/5): Wonderful hotel - Nice location and good environment
Will come again
- Joanne (10/5): Amazing!!! - My husband and I absolutely loved this hotel. The check in was quick and efficient, the staff were very helpful when we were asking about the area. Our room was really big, so clean modern and the comfiest bed I’d ever slept in. Our view was absolutely amazing! Fantastic view of the city scape and the KL tower. There was also a lovely roof top pool for guests also with a fabulous view. Breakfast was delicious and plenty to choose from. I would highly recommend this hotel, thank you for a great stay Red By Sirocco!!
- Arthur (10/5): - Very nice hotel with a good location, somewhat close walk with it being about 20 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur City Centre and Petronas Twin Towers, with many affordable eateries nearby the hotel with several convenience stores within a 1 km radius of the hotel.
The staff were very friendly, especially the concierge who helped us with the check-in and informed us of the various nearby locations to the hotel, such as the eateries, hypermarts and shopping malls.
The room was overall very nice, very clean as well and had the needed facilities, such as a minifridge, hairdryer with a wonderful view of KL Tower outside the window.
The hotel's facilities also were very nice, the infinity pool at the roof and the Resturant up above, which had a nice though limited buffet breakfast. They also had a gym on the fourth floor and a bakery on the ground level which I hadn't tried, but it seemed quite decent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): New hotel, big room - New hotel, all new. The red pellow need some clean up. Good coffee. Breakfast is the same for 4 straight days, need to review the manual. Please do take care of the poor chap who is frying egg are dping under the hot morning sun, give him some shade or something. The best thing about your hotel is new, so please maintain it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - What a deck on the top. Absolutely loved it. Would love to visit again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Close to KLCC, clean and friendly staff, breakfast was provided overlooking KL cbd. I would recommend and stay here again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The pool is small n closes early. It’s close to the towers n a few shopping area. It’s good place to stay not that expensive
- Firdaus (6/5): - car park needs rm10 per entry
breakfast good
wifi : good and fast
lrt rapid station dang wangi - 7min walking (but if raining, you will be in trouble)
whole room - carpet covering.
they have nice coffee maker, but need to pay if you want to refill.
room spacious size.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - poor lighting , balcony too small, to much out side noise every night , breakfast appalling don't cater for westerners.
- Chew (10/5): Well Done - Red By Sirocco always my preferred stay at KL, as it is new, fuss free check in, and good service , we are always well attended to too.
- Sharmaine (8/5): - The room was spacious with high ceiling and a great view of KL city centre!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - location very good near city, room very clean
- Angelo (8/5): Very modern and nice hotel - The hotel is close to public transport and is not a long distance from the famous towers if you like walking, you can also go in public transport which is one stop away. The staff at the breakfast are extremely nice and helpful but the reception although willing to help they are not as welcoming as excepted.
- See (10/5): amazing stay - clean n spacious room!! friendly hotel crew n reception. located just next to famous eatery!! would definately come back when at KL!!
- A J (8/5): Comfortable and modern - Good value for money. Clean and modern. Slightly slow check in and out. Nice rooms and rooftop pool. Within walking distance of KL sights.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All was good
- Ben John (8/5): Nice New Hotel - Big Rooms. - Hotel is new/clean and room was huge... Location of the hotel is great for the view of city, however is not in a nice area of Kuala Lumper.
- Dino (10/5): - Nice hotel to relax at swimming pool with view of KL tower and KLCC tower.Fully secured automatic car park (lift) inside the building.
- Jay (8/5): Nice Hotel. - Nice hotel with good facilities, good location, easy access to KLCC and other tourist attractions. Only downside noisy in the building from loud music.
- Darren (10/5): - Exceptional hotel and views. Staff went above and beyond
- Nguyen Doan (10/5): Wonderful stay at Red! - Friendly, helpful staff and the hotel is clean and spacious.
- Mona (8/5): - The hotel location is quite close to majority of areas, within 20min walking. Hotel itself is quite new so the rooftop bar and lounge and spa areas were still under construction. Overall, the room was comfortable with great wifi connection.
- Escobar (10/5): Nice hotel and got the nice view of kuala lumpur. - Everything was perfect for me and i will repeat again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice bedding.love the mattress.so comfy.bathroom also nice.worth to stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very comfortable and beautiful room. - Beautiful and affordable. Have a nice view in front of KL tower and KLCC. Recommended.
- Ricky (8/5): - No staff were on hand to guide first time guests like us on the use of the automated carpark when we first arrived. Rooms are spacious with nice decor but no coffee capsules were provided for the coffee machine in one of our rooms. Overall, the hotel is good but the downside is it's location which is congested with terrible traffic. The concierge was helpful in booking another Uber car for us when the first one which we had booked and waited for 25 mins suddenly cancelled our booking - all thanks to the heavy traffic jam.
- Nurul Aini (4/5): New hotel but not fully ready - The location is a little bit tricky to find. If driver is not used to the roads around there they might miss the sign 'Jalan Kamunting' and you will be driving in circles.
You will need to proceed to the 11th floor for check in. The room I got was clean. Bed was comfortable. Hotel also had noted of the extra bed as I am sharing the room with my parents. Smooth check in.
However my parents and I were unlucky as we were trapped in the lift on our first night at the hotel. We just came back from shopping. Went in the lift barely 1 min and lights went out and the lift stopped. We were trapped for about an hour in the dark. To make it complicated the lift was stuck in between 2 floors so when we opened the door it was a steel wall. We had no choice but to wait for the technicians to rescue us out. Very thankful to the two technicians from OTIS that gave their best to expedite the rescue and a few staffs that was outside to make us calm. Very traumatising experience and I hope nobody will go through what we went through.
We were offered a free 2 nights stay with breakfast as an apology. The officer that talked to me had verbally told me that the free 2 nights stay given will be offset for our affected stay. As my booking was done and paid via Expedia, the hotel will do the refund via Expedia. The refund process must be very complicated as I have not receive my refund to date.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really cool decor and good facilities best hotel I’ve stayed at in kl
- Verified traveler (10/5): comfortable & nice view - super clean, comfortable, nice window view ...........................................
- Verified traveler (6/5): Red by Sirocco review - Hotel’s customer service was really poor. We checked in and was informed we have to pay but we already paid it in advance. The staff who was talking with us is not certain about our booking and so we have to wait for a long time. Whatever we ask to the front desk it takes a loonnggg time before they assist you. The hitel room was ok it’s clean. Food is not great. Buffet bfast but very little food and they are the same everyday. Not much food choices. Staff are needed to be train more to become hospitable and address the concerns of their guests better.
- Alex (4/5): Ordinary experience - Ground floor staff was misleading, direct me to the carpark at the back of the hotel even though my car could not fit into the car lift. In the end had to goes back to the front of the hotel to park my car.
Room was spacious and I believe recently refurbished, but with the price you could get better experience with other hotel chain.
- Gijoe (8/5): Nice hotel close to Quill City Mall & Monorail - Great stay... wifi and breakfast can be improved.. close to shopping and nice interior..
- Verified traveler (4/5): Automation Disruption! - Automation disruption! My stay in Red was actually bearable until the "automation" carpark "malfunction" and power trip in the night which resulted no access to our room. Although the hotel staffs tried hard to be really friendly, but their inexperience and the lack of "crisis management" only makes it worst. And during my last night stay, my room was not cleaned even though I have left the makeup room sign on. When the cleaning team arrived, instead of performing their task immediately, they were more keen to proof that I didnt have the sign on. Regardless, I was too tired to argue, especially when they don't understand what I said. In any case, I don't think I will be returning to Red anytime soon, maybe after the "teething" period....
