Mika (10/5): The best villa in Matakana - A fantastic villa in Matakana. We took our friends from overseas around Matakana during Easter, so the villa location was perfect. It’s surrounded by magnificent views and so quiet. There is a beautiful garden behind the villa and we really enjoyed the evening and morning walk after eating too much lol The deck area from the living room was an extra special feeling when we had our morning coffee too. Our daughter, 6 years old said she didn’t go home when we were leaving…lol Highly recommend 300%

Mark (9/5): Beautiful property in quiet location well worth the visit. - Beautiful property in quiet location. Beautiful property and surroundings, very well appointed cabins and lovely hosts. The location is slightly out of Matakana but in quiet location and suited our needs. The only issue we had was the restaurant was not open on the Monday or Tuesday whilst we were there and we had to arrange dinner in town. There is no taxi or Uber service so if you’re out of town you must drive, so if you want a wine with dinner it can be tricky. We would recommend choosing to stay later in the week or weekends if you wish access to the restaurant and local wineries. The kitchen facilities have limited cooking options for being out of town, microwave only no cook top however we coped to prepare a meal. Nothing negative really and we had a great time.

Liz (8/5): Lovely stay with friends - Travelling as two couples, the two room set-up with lounge in the middle was perfect. Really spacious. The pool was nice. Rooms are large, beds comfortable, and the bathroom had underfloor heating. Whilst no cooking facilities, there is a microwave, fridge and plates / cutlery etc. It's a lovely, peaceful setting and I would recommend it as a place to 'get away' and chill for a few days. Close enough to plenty of things to explore and do. We left some food on the counter when we popped out for a few hours, by the time we came back there were ants everywhere. There was fly spray under the bench which helped, but sweet treats beware, the NZ ants come out in force! I was also were notified of a $25 fee to separate the king beds if we preferred a single set-up which I thought was a bit cheeky given the overall cost of the stay.

Ed Ackman (8/5): Good stay but expensive for a short stay - We chose the property because we needed 2bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The facilities were good and we liked the separate villa accommodation. It would be good to have EV charging. One of the staff tried to help us with a power point behind a service shed but this did not work.

Would have been better if the restaurant open every night. Also villas are large enough to have a washer.

The couple running this joint ar - Accomodation was homey and comfortable, the grounds were impeccable with a nice walk through the large garden and open area. Tries to be upscale but misses my mark of user friendly, Gave up after 10 minutes trying to figure out the TV remote - kitchen area has a microwave but received a notice saying I couldn’t cook food. Weirdest bathroom - all one big open area (shower, toilet, sink) - sink was too small with no countertop - half the room floods when taking a shower so had to use an ECO friendly towel to dry area around toilet. And on and on. Somebody probably received an award for design of this place - but not from me. Perhaps they make a u-tube video on how to run all the amenities (still don’[t know how to get the fan off HIGH). Comfortable nights sleep but that’s about it.

Emma (9/5): Wonderful stay - Beautifully maintained Wonderful gardens Extremely friendly proactive managers on Kitchen facilities were a bit restrictive for a three bedroom property No oven or hob I also thought bathroom products supplied were a bit old fashioned compared to other similar properties we have stayed at recently

Mallorie (10/5): Perfect Plume Villas - Spacious, clean villa with all the amenities I could think of and beautiful views! Added plus points were the pool and lovely leisure walk. It is also very close to Matakana village and Brick Bay Nothing I didnt like
Malcolm (7/5): probably would not stay again. - nice cabin and location very quiet though hardly anyone staying there. Very over priced for a mid week low season stay.I felt offended at been offered a minimal offering of bar snacks at silly prices when paying $500 a night.Plenty of high quality places at least offer a nice breakfast at that price and cheaper.

Menown (10/5): Wonderfully relaxing - Location, accessibility, lay out. This venue was perfect for our circumstances. We need accessible accommodation with wheelchair friendly facilities. Plume was the best venue we have EVER stayed in - world wide. Cannot rate them high enough. Everything was grand

Paul (10/5): Highly recommend staying here if visiting Matakana. - The two bedroom units were great to travel with another couple. Bedrooms and ensuites were completely separate and the beds and pillows were exceptional. Nothing.

Amanda (10/5): - Awesome place to stay, a quick drive to Matakana. Nice to have your own villa so nice and private and can’t hear other guests. Only stayed one night but would love to come back and stay for longer next time.
