Guest Reviews
- Syenny (8/5): Very good -
- Keen (9/5): Superb -
- Cathrine (10/5): Comfortable machiya right near Nishiki markets. - The property was clean and comfortable with traditional elements throughout. We were a short walk away from Nishiki market and other attractions in Kyoto. We thought there was another bathroom but there was only one.
- Hiroe (8/5): Enjoyed staying Machiya. - Really liked atmosphere that felt Kyoto. Was dusty on the end table and corner of rooms.
- Somiya (8/5): Worthy! - The location and atmosphere was nice. The floor was a bit dusty. Others were good enough though.
It would be better if the reception was not separated or we had no need to visit it only for check-in purpose.
- Matthieu (5/5): Bed bugs and disappointments - Location is ok Bed bugs - we found them during the last night crawling on us. We found more under the sheets on the mattress.
Also having to walk 20 minutes under the heat to another place just to do the checkin is very annoying. Not a great experience at all.
Finally the photos of the exterior bath are just deceiving, it’s quite laughable when you see it in person. The photos create wrong expectations.
