Guest Reviews
- Fanny (8/5): - Bonne localisation. L’endroit du petit déjeuner est magnifique. Salle de bain pas très bien aménagé.
- Mohammed Amine (8/5): -
- ILONA (4/5): Better than a hostel. Just for one night stay. - Location is ok, but hard to find the address without helpers for money. Nice authentic garden with decorations. The window in the room has no glass, so there's no silence in the room. Very basic facilities, tiny room, awful strong smells of cleaning chemicals, lack of privacy.
Breakfast is below any expectations, too poor.
- Aurélie (2/5): Horrible, fuyez !!!!! - Rien Tout
- AYMANE (6/5): - We liked the riad's decor and the bed was comfortable We didn’t like the breakfast; the coffee and tea weren't good at all. Also, the man who worked there wasn't social at all
Rien!
- Nicole (9/5): Nice stay! - Breakfast was a nice variety each morning, and staff were very nice. The location was great, and the bed was comfortable enough. Can be chilly at night during late winter/early spring.
- Willems (10/5): - Incredible location. Very friendly staff. Beautiful place and great breakfast. If you want to explore the medina this is the perfect place to stay. Many tours available. Great place, we loved it The place doesn't excel for cleanliness. Because stray cats come in, the cat pee smell can be quite strong

- Vesna (7/5): Great riad experience - The location is excellent, the inner courtyard is beautiful and pleasant, and the decoration is very nice. The staff were great. Small bathroom
- Umair (1/5): Not good place -
- Morgane (10/5): -
- Mario (8/5): - The personnel was very helpful Room had too many beds and too few chairs.
- Jose Antonio (7/5): -
Foto fuorvianti..

- Lindsey (1/5): Avoid like the plague! - The water was hot. There was enough room for our family. (We were falsely led to believe that there wasn’t a room big enough to accommodate us.) We had to pay for two rooms though we only used one. There wasn’t a sign on the outside indicating that we were at the correct location. I couldn’t stand up to use the toilet without hitting my head (I’m only 5’11). They were under construction and there was random junk everywhere. Breakfast cost 50 Dh per person but was the cheapest breakfast that could be found. (The entire meal for our family of 7 would have cost about 40 Dh). It says perfect for families but it’s on really busy street that made it extremely stressful trying to protect my kids from being run over by moped drivers. I also got spit on by a local “crazy man” and followed. I reported the incident to the Ryad staff. They did nothing to ensure our safety and comfort.
- Renata (6/5): - Simpatia do Funcionário e decoração.
- Shahina (6/5): -
- Nina (4/5): - Azil was very nice to my family. He gave us many tips to travel around and helped us book different activities within and outside of Marrakech. He was very friendly and very nice host The accommodation and room are not clean.
- Klas (9/5): Man konnte direkt ins marokkanische Leben eintauchen - authentisch, Lage
- Md Saidur (9/5): Its in a perfect location, staffs are friendly. Interior is better than it looks in the picture. - Booking.com Bathroom could be a bit more clean
- Daniel (4/5): A beautiful place with lots of potential, but it is not being ran and maintained well. - The included breakfast was a great bonus. Note that you get the same thing every day, but it was a good and easy way to start the day for our family. We were in the 5 bed/6 person room which sits right on the first floor next to the kitchen. The room is tall and and spacious, the bathroom is tiny, dingy, and nearly unusable for my 6'7" self. My wife and kids chose not to take the showers the 3 days we were there as they didn't like the look of the bathroom. The bedroom was quiet except for the staff person who was outside the room on the couch right outside our window who was coughing all night long. This same staff person coughed continually as they served our breakfast each morning. The lock for the door is a keyed paddle lock on a slide bolt - granted the door is original and historic.
- Josefine (6/5): Our stay at riad Carole was not what we expected. The breakfast was good, but the staff was unprofessional, and we had t - The location is really good Our stay at riad Carole was not what we expected. The breakfast was good, but the staff was unprofessional, and we had to ask for fresh towels, toilet paper and to get our trash can emptied every day. The location is really good, but I wouldn’t recommend staying there for more than a few days, as the rooms are a bit filthy, hot and without aircondition. Also, there was no door separation the bathroom from the bedroom, which was quite uncomfortable. Also, the restaurant at the riad was closed every day without a proper reason being told to the guests.
- Estiti (8/5): -
- Mohamed (7/5): -
- Biskri (1/5): Look after the hotel, please - Friendly stuff Not clean and expensive the bed wasn’t comfortable
- Dan (1/5): Disgusting, unsafe room and bathroom (sorry, but that is the truth) - Nothing, really. The property is unhealthy and smells badly. It should be closed for hygiene reasons, unless drastically renewed. I booked it in a rush for one night only at the end of my vacation, ready to return. I didn't read the reviews before booking, unfortunately. Our room is on the first floor. The old tapestry and the carpets smell strongly of dust and dirt. The dirt is clearly visible everywhere around. The bathroom is dilapidated and lacks the bare necessities (which the property lists among the amenities offered): there is no toilet paper, hand soap, or toiletries. A hanging towel has visible stains. None of the windows in the room close properly, and many have broken glasses (which makes the room extremely noisy, but this is the last of the property's problems). The rooms looks unsafe: the door to the anteroom closes with a ridiculous metal clasp (even a child with a weak kick could easily open it from the outside), while the door to the bedroom is completely missing the handle. The anteroom is a dirty and dusty space with a rubbish-old, non-functioning refrigerator. I immediately contacted the Booking.com customer service to request alternative accommodations, but no one from Booking.com got back to me (despite the agent I spoke with told me otherwise), so I was forced to spend the night. As I struggled to sleep, I felt something crawling on my arm: a cockroach made me jump out of bed and spend the rest of the night sleepless. Obviously we didn't get a shower and refused to have breakfast which was included in the price. Of course I didn't expect a five stars property, but this property is just not suitable for living. Especially not for families as claimed in the property's name: nothing here looks family friendly, and I find it very irresponsible trying to attract children in such an unsafe place.

Goede locatie. Goede prijs.
- Muhammad (7/5): Amazing Marakesh - Riad is close to the city center accessible by walking with around 18 min walk. Host was very kind and helped us with booking taxi from and to the airport. Breakkfast area was very nicely decorated and party room was also available that we used for lugage storage. Overall it was a pleasant stay at Riad. Breakfast was good, but would be even better if served with different verieties having especially Morocca traditional breakfast dishes during our multiple days stay. Room was quite big and equiped with only one standing fan. It would be better to have atleast 2 standing fans to cover the entire room. Cleanliness and services can be improved for higher ratings. Communication with cleaning staff was tricky since they only speaks Arabic and French. Not good in English.
- Mohamed (9/5): Superb -
- Hicham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deeba (1/5): The worst day of my life ! - Nothing everything was disappointing The rooms were terrible the worst rooms I’ve seen in Marrakech .The toilets were disgusting and looked like a prison cell . The seating area was terrible and looked like a room for hobbits I don’t even recommend this to anyone and it’s not worth value for money if you want to enjoy get a decent hotel but never book this hotel . They food was shit the source was cold for the chicken and they don’t have much of an option. A small portion of chicken was 100 Dirhams which is like £10 you can get cheaper food elsewhere please do not book this hotel it’s not worth it . It was the worst hours of my life felt like I’ve come to slums . The celling was covered fabric stapled theirs no Silent there the Music is left on outside and you can hear its great for headaches.
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Mehdi (8/5): Very good -
- Hicham (10/5): Said was a really nice host ,I’m absolutely coming back -
- Linda (3/5): Poor - Place was beautiful. Good location. Uncomfortable bed. Place was not well kept and dirty.
- Tim (5/5): We paid in advance or we wouldn’t have stayed for four days. Cheap and cheerful? - The staff were helpful, the manager was wonderful. He provided a brand new bed when he was made aware of the aggravation of my backpain caused by the initial poor sagging mattress in the room. We felt we couldn’t be the first to complain about the mattress.
The tortoise was grateful for the lettuce leaf we gave him. Not sleeping the first two nights because of the bed. There is no glass in the window so no protection from the noise outside and no curtains to shield the light.
We discovered and used another shower outside our room because our own was so small.
- Mabel (8/5): - It was a pleasat stay!!
- Dunia (1/5): Just avoid if possible.. - Staying only one night. This place has so much potential but it is understuffed for now big the place is, dirty and falling apart. I hope they can mamage to clean and renovate a bit.
- Azri (7/5): Good -
- Natalia (5/5): Fair for the price, if only the bathrooms were cleaner. - Staff were lovely and accommodating. Let us leave our bags early (pre-check in time), arranged an airport taxi, and were accommodating of our room requests. The breakfast was simple but included a really nice bread. The room was quirky with low ceilings which is definitely fine, with clean bedsheets. But the bathroom had not been cleaned - the mirrors had toothpaste stains and the sink drained poorly and also had toothpaste stains.
- Anastasia (9/5): Superb -
- Fantauzza (1/5): Terrible - I booked for 2 people but for strange reasons they didn’t let me stay at the same room together. Just terrible. I lost my money because I didn’t stay at the room and I booked another place! Just crazy and terrible.
- Franco (7/5): Comfortable staying close to the medina - I spent some nights with my father here and we both enjoyed the really traditional place. The building is beautiful and the staff is kind and ready to help for any request, promptly. There is a very cute rooftop too The lights in the room were very cold, they could change them to a warmer color and it would be more pleasant o think
- Olivia (3/5): Poor -
- Kirit (6/5): VERY RUSTIC - It was very cheap... wanted to try a break on a budget It was "very rustic" with paint flaking, light bulb hanging off wire, sockets loose on wall... heater that wasn't working and door difficult to lock... breakfast was 30dhms but a coffee alone was 20!!! Saying this, i didn't pay much so it was what it was...
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing - Beautiful Riad
Service was excellent and the staff was very friendly!
The place was clean and the patio was beautiful
Also in a great part of the Medina
- Syarifah (8/5): Very good -
- Potnuri (1/5): Bad -
- Wajeeha (6/5): Good people. Good value for money. Old property. Can consider if you intend to sleep and stroll out. - The owner Jawad was reachable on call. Took my calls on most silly questions on the first ring and sent in help. He listens to you with problem solving mindset and helps get solutions.
I was not happy with the first room, once I explained him what didn't work out, he immediately switched the place. The garden is beautiful.
Marwann the young man who is helping and managing university, drops by on drop of a hat when you call him. Extremely respectful and kind.
The helper There was construction going on when I went. So the property was a bit dusty. I liked the fact that the interiors were near and clean.
The property in general is quite old so the doors and the windows won't shut properly. As in wind would push them open. The windows I left shut would open in the morning. Morocco can be windy.
- Sahil (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (9/5): Fantastic value for location. Friendly and authentic. - Location
Authenticity
Very kind friendly staff
Taxi can pull up right outside ( rather than have to get someone to run into the Medina with bags in a trolley) The bathroom could do with a lick of paint - some bits peeling , but it didn’t really bother us
- Nikhil (3/5): Bait & switch - needs major renovations - Well located Bait & switch - booked a room with AC, was given a much worse room with just a fan and a gap above the door where there should be a window
Room is very dirty and old - whole place needs major renovations
It was cheap but still not worth it, can find better at same price
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Abdelhadi (1/5): Bad -
- Tiffany (8/5): It was a nice stay! - The owner upgraded me free of charge to a nice large room cooler than the one I had because it was take hot and obviously the room was free. The restaurant was closed because the chef was on vacation.
- Abderrahmane (1/5): Cockroaches are everywhere! - Nothing tbmo be honest The place smells bad and is full of cockroaches
- Maruf (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): An Oasis in the Medina, - The entrance to this Riad is just a single doorway nestled amongst several others with the number 71 above it and from there you venture down a long passageway and come across an amazing garden courtyard, I was greeted by the owner and asked to have a seat whist he made me some tea and cheeked me in.
Three beds in my room I only used one and the courtyard is a delight to sit in after a busy day exploring, very relaxing and extremely quiet seeing you are in the Medina itself.
Staff all very pleasant and easy going. All good.
- Ana (8/5): We were surprised by the place. We read the reviews and though we were going to see roaches but everything was very clea - Beautiful place, kind hosts and good breakfast Nothing in particular
- Ada (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ana (7/5): Good place for the price - There was very clean and kindness
