• Leisha (6/5): - It was ok generally, although bed was so uncomfortable. Adjacent rooms were very noisy at 1 am coming back in. Probably wouldn’t stay again, sorry

• Mike (4/5): - Bathroom dirty ,in fact filthy..toilet seat to small for toilet and moved each tie used it. Sink tap not fitted correct. Shower inside and out dirty. Carpet stained in many places in bedroom . Could hear all the noise of people moving around . I have photos of bathroom/bedroom/ dinning room . As for breakfast service where shall i start . Us and another couple had to cleartables of our selves to be able to sit at a table . Continentional breakfast was a joke tea/toast/ cereal really!!! Sorry but as a dialysis patent i need a clean bathroom .just not safe for ne to shower there. When guest needed to see someone .pressed the bell no one came .not enough cutlery for all guests. Had to wash spoons/ butter knife before we could have the so called breakfast . Sorry its so long but this was how it was .

• GARY (6/5): - Had a nice stay, no issues at all, great location, the property is tired sould do with an update, the carpet in room 2 could do with changing and fitted by a professional. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk in the room, no shampoo in the shower, bedding all very clean. Would i stay here again? yes most certainly i would.

• Eliška (8/5): - Great experience. We just needed something for one night and this was good. For what it was it was bit more expensive but I guess it was because of the area. Really lovely cliffs around. The owner was lovely, was checking on us when we were bit late and all was good.

Nice bright room but boiling hot could have done with a fan.opened the windows which we could but very noisy as we were on the street. Talking to people at breakfast who all said the room was boiling. Beds lovely and comfy but couldn't open the bathroom door fully as it was blocked by the double bed - not sure if the beds could be swapped around to make more room? No shower gel or soap provided and we never took any so had to go and buy some - this could be mentioned so people can be prepared? No issue if we had thought. Continental breakfast make your own toast but loads of choices with yoghurt, pan o chocolate, bananas, juice, tea coffee excellent value for money. Good location but no parking we found street space which was lucky as I had a knee injury and couldn't walk far. Pay car parking nearby. All in all good value and good location not far from main shopping street. Thank you :)

• Royston (4/5): - Room 11 toilet door wouldn't shut, lock broken. Access door to room wouldn't latch closed. Toilet seat not fitted right it was loose when sat on it. Mixer tap not secured to sink Generally in poor order. No shelf in shower toilet for washbags / toiletries. Bed mattress had sunk on one side, was uncomfortable. The room was nothing like the photos on Expedia website. I have taken photos to prove this.

• Matthew (8/5): - Pretty good, simple place to stay for a golf outing at Royal Porthcawl. Room and bathroom were small, but comfortable. Breakfast wasn’t much. Good location to restaurants and 5 minute drive to RPGC. Street parking only.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Mary House, Porthcawl - Very easy to get in and get your key. A gentleman came to meet me straight away. The hotel was extremely quiet which was nice and very short walk to the beach and shops. The condition of the room and bathroom was good, but it may need sprucing up in the new year. Overall I was happy and would reccomend this to anyone if they need somewhere cheap and convenient to stay.
• Hayes (8/5): - I was just in a single room, with en suite bathroom. Nothing fancy, and very small (not much room in th other than the bed and a small table), but it worked for my needs. Very convenient to waterfront. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

• Annette (4/5): Room 2 - I stayed there as it was my partners birthday it was a bad day on the 12 April but we froze I never slept as it was so cold , I tripped off the step going In the toilet as the bed was in the way of the door opening could not open the door tidy , I like tea but found it hard to fill the kettle , carpet was dirty but the bed was spotless , I'm glad it was only for one night I did knock the door In the morning to speak to the lady but had no answer , cant see me staying there again

• William (10/5): - A lovely, comfortable,relaxing stay,very accomodating when we wanted to stay another day and wanted a ground floor room, as we both struggle with stairs, our first stay at this hotel but definitely not the last, situated central to the town, clean surrounding areas, a definite relaxing stay, can't wait for our next visit.

• Peter (10/5): Great little place! - Mary's House is an excellent little bed and breakfast. It wasn't anything fancy but the room was of a good standard, we had a small ensuite which was lovely. Emma the landlady was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend for a cheap getaway.

Very welcoming Emma was brilliant and very helpful even moving us to a downstairs room when she saw my partner struggling with the stairs with an injury after a fall at home the previous day. The property is in a great position close to the pubs restaurants and shopping
