Guest Reviews
- Michele (6/5): Fantastic Location, Good Accomodation - Check in was easily coordinated, someone met us there with the keys and welcomed us. The apartment is located a short walk from the Pantheon and loads of great restaurants. Other historical sites were either within walking distance or a short Uber ride. The attached patio was pleasant, although not private. There was no street noise at night and the surrounding residences were quiet. Although the apartment is very roomy, the furniture was sparse with no comfortable place to sit. The biggest drawbacks were the extremely firm bed and, with the heater being on a limited timer, it seemed to always be cold.
- Art (4/5): My Hotel stay at Rome Arco Ciambella Stud - There seems to be no front desk at the property and unfortunately, I could not call them with my cell phone with a local sim card. In my desperation, I called the Hotels.com 800 number and spoke to one of your representatives. She called the property and told them I would be late. However, the representative said that I had to call them. I mentioned that I could not call them because I could not reach them on the phone number listed on my cell phone (Local Sim) but she gave me the phone number and could not help me any further. I tried to call them again with no avail. I called Hotels.com again and explained that I didn't have many minutes left on the cell phone plan that I was on. The representative put me on hold for more than 20 minutes and I was disconnected. I finally found a pay phone at the airport to call them. It costed me over 5 Euros to contact them. Upon arrival, I was met by the Hotel representative and he let me in. He showed me to the room and explained the ground rules of the stay. After the ground rules were explained, he told me that I owed 50 Euros for a cleaning fee and a late arrival fee. I didn't pay the fee that night because I wanted to check with Hotels.com to find out about these fees. I was informed that the fees had to be paid even though the fees on my bill were paid in full when I booked the room. With no front desk, there seems to be concerns with how the stay was handled. In had to provide a copy of my passport to the doorman.
- Teri (8/5): - The property was spacious, mostly clean (please replace the shower curtain) and conveniently close to the major sites and dining which was important in my experience. We were not able to respond to confirm what time we would get to the apartment, but the staff was friendly and met us right away without issues. The only issue we really had was with the shower, be prepared its small and tight and if you're a tall or a large build it might be a problem, I don't think its a real standing shower rather a tub with a shower wand and it can use a new shower curtain, that was a big deal for me (gross!). We were able to make the shower work so I don't want to "poopoo" on this too much. But other than that its really cute, very rustic old world charm and was fine for our short stay.
- Jodi (10/5): True gem- spacious apt in the best location - Let me start by saying, I was hesitant to stay in an apartment that had not been reviewed. The prospect of no front desk was not something I looked forward to due to past experiences. I contacted the company though their email address and was responded to within 48 hours. They answered all of my questions and provided instructions on how to get to the property from my staring point. Since this is an apartment, there is no housekeeping. That meant not seeing anyone or having clean towels, etc. We did run out of toilet paper and there were no cleaning supplies provided for us. This was a drawback as was the bathing area. The tub is very old fashioned with a seat area and enough room for your feet. Extremely awkward for use of the spout and the shower handle to bathe comfortably.
Other than this, this place is a gem.
Pro: Location can’t be beat. Literally 2 blocks behind the Pantheon. Comfortable Walking distance to Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, and the Coliseum. Travestare practically across the street as is Campo d’Fiori.
A supermarket is a block away that you can get cooked food along with whatever else you may need.
Easy transport:The X40 bus takes you from Termini to this area to the Vatican.
Spacious- Kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedroom areas, cable TV, great WiFi, and a cute terrace to sit out during nice weather.
Communication: Timely response & Was given a local phone# should we have any questions/concerns.
Overall, phenomenal place and would definitely stay again
