Guest Reviews
- Scott (7/5): Good - We enjoyed the location and it was very clean. The bed, unfortunately, was very hard and unforgiving. My wife, unfortunately, left with neck pain.
- James (7/5): -
- Williamson (8/5): - Lack of. Trash cans and accessible outlets in living room
- Donna Cecil (10/5): We will always stay here when in the area - Na Na
- Boyd (6/5): It didn't fit our travel plans/needs. - My wife liked the decore. The check-in process was inadequate. The instructions for check-in were not apparent and we had bad cellular service.
- Joanne (8/5): -
- Susan (6/5): Disappointed that a “smoke free” property would reek of smoke. - Very cute gardens and room decor; great location Very heavy stale cigarette smoke smell. It disturbed my sleep. We left one night early because of this.
- Robert (10/5): - We always enjoy the quirky decor at the Crest. Nothing
- Christyn (7/5): It wasn’t the first time I have stayed there, I’d stay there again if I knew there wasn’t going to be no bugs. - It’s cute, comfortable and convenient There was a bug crawling on the dresser the morning I was checking out.
- Beverly (10/5): - Would like to be able to speak with a real person.
- Diane (7/5): The check in process is very convenient with just having pin pad entry. - Loved the separate bedroom and living room. Bathroom floor and vanity lights needed cleaned. Noisy traffic since bedroom was right next to street.
- Matthys (9/5): Great value for price. Very clean. - Room was very clean. Excellent value for the price. There was a sign that said to run water for up to 10 minutes to heat up. That was true but not inconvenient. Location was a little off the beaten path but cute and no safety issues
- Joseph (8/5): - Room was comfortable, in current conditions as in photos. Easy parking keyless entry, fairly priced. Bed was comfortable. Room had a bit of a draft but likely do to type of hvac. Would stay here again No real contact with owners but others may like that
- Keri (10/5): I would definitely stay here again. Much better than the chain motels I've stayed at in Sterling. - This motel is very cute, quaint, and comfortable. Very easy non-contactless check-in with a code for the door. My room was upgraded to a suite and the bed was very comfy. When I needed to extend my stay, that was taken care of very easily with the staff. No complaints.
- Martyna (9/5): A lovely place ;-) Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms as described. - Location to downtown Sterling. N/A
- Gaynor (9/5): -
- Martyna (8/5): - Location Location, cleanness, and friendly staff
- Marvin (8/5): It met our need for a place to stay, but was not plush. - There was a refridgerator where we could put our items that needed to be kept cool. There was a nice sitting area where we could do our computer work and/or sit and relax. The place was dated. It took a long time for the water to get hot, but that was stated as the way it would be. The bathroom floor was cold.

- Trent (10/5): BANG FOR THE BUCK ! Super nice, yet affordable. - It just had the cutes old quant look, but very in a very stylish updated fashion. cute. damn good bang for buck. it was cheap, but nice.

- Douglas (10/5): - It was a nice stay, as always. I appreciate the ease of check-in/out, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room and the great location. The neighbors in the adjoining rooms could have been quieter, but you can't legislate good manners, especially nowadays.
- Judson (8/5): -
- John (10/5): It was clean and comfy. The staff was very accommodating. - It had a resort look and feel to the property. Nothing
- Campbell (9/5): - Nothing
- Denise (8/5): - Quiet, no contact check in The clock in the middle of the court yard?? goes off all day while trying to sleep for a night shift.
- Mary Kate (3/5): Needs cleaned - Cute location and set up The room wasn't clean and the mattresses were hard as rocks and we never once saw a staff member
- Penny L (10/5): -
- Eppler Henderson (10/5): Absolutely loved staying here. Lots of surprises await you inside your room. - Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Nothing
- Marianne (10/5): It was perfect, thank you - Simple, efficient check-in. Beautiful facilities 🤷♀️

- John (9/5): The Crest Motel is a great little place to spend the night. - This hotel is adorable. I love the nostalgic vibe! The room was really nice, bed was comfy, and the shower was good. The courtyard was very welcoming too. The HVAC unit in room #6 is L-O-U-D!!! The bathroom has no heat register in it, so it was pretty cold, even when the room was warm. The bowl-style sink is pretty, but way too high since it's sitting on the countertop rather than sunken into it.
- Tiedemann (10/5): So much better than run of the mill I-road chain hotel! - Beautifully renovated room. Cozy and quiet.
- Mallory (8/5): Very convenient for a solo traveler for one night in Sterling. - Exceptionally clean and spartan! It looks like a very charming place to relax outdoors (in the garden area) during summer evenings. Close enough to downtown Sterling to walk for a drink and dinner. Had everything a solo traveler needs for a one-nighter, especially considering the price. The queen bed was exceptionally comfortable. Because of chronic back issues, I always bring a mattress cover to make the mattress softer, but I probably could have done well without it. The host immediately replied to a text I sent, while also respecting my privacy. To keep costs down, I understand the lack of a coffee maker. If I were to stay overnight again, in the future, I would just bring my own Keurig.
- Martyna (8/5): -
- Jenna (10/5): Feels like home - So cozy!! The gardens are decorated so beautifully
- Konie (10/5): Checked all the boxes. I would def stay there again👍 - Location, clean, layout, comfortable bed, thirsty towels Had my Hubby not snored & kept me awake…..I would not have heard the vehicles driving by😂
- Rose (5/5): -
- Erin (9/5): - The property is unusual in a good way--rooms are pleasant, and the bed was comfortable. There were Halloween decorations tucked around the gardens and standing in the courtyard, which was fun to see. There was nothing to *complain* about. Would recommend.
- Shirleen (5/5): - Clean, liked the decor. Beds were comfortable. Heard rustling and woke up to find a mouse! It ran under the sink, so we think that may be how it got in. Couldn't sleep after that, so we left at O dark thirty.
- SYLVIA (8/5): Great place for a quick overnight stay. - Cleanest is the most important thing to me. The property was clean. The heating unit is so noisy as it turns on and off.
- Teresa (10/5): -
- SYLVIA (9/5): Clean, quiet and safe . - Cleanliness is what I look for first!✅ Enjoyed the property.
- Marcelino (10/5): Nice and comfortable! - It’s nice and quiet…. N/A
- Elizabeth (6/5): The property is fine, but in fairness I could not recommend it. - We liked the location, price and garden. There are two thick glass pieces attached to walls as a desk and a night table. Both have completely squared corners and in small quarters, those corners are very dangerous. Plus, the bed was not comfortable and the bed corners were like the glass pieces — deadly.
- Robert (10/5): - Well maintained motel with excellent linens and modern additions for a great price!! Very peaceful and within walking distance to Downtown locations,
- Kent (8/5): - In a safe, older area of town. Streets were lined with beautiful older homes. Very cute room with vintage touches. The little red mini-fridge and microwave had me at hello.
The bed.was firm and very comfortable. The beautifully landscaped yard and flower beds were an added bonus.
- Sonia (10/5): -
- sarah (6/5): Very clean and the bed was good - Room was clean and bathroom was spotless. The shower was not hot at all. If it was not 6:30am I would have called to complain. Maybe the hot water ran out, other than this it was great. The shower never got above luke warm.
- Kathryn (10/5): - I have stayed there twice and enjoyed it each time. The only thing I wish they had was a icemaker.
- Marybeth (10/5): - This a nice option for staying "downtown" and if you want something different from the chain motels. Room was clean, updated. Be prepared for remote check in and be sure to read your email for the door code! Only downer was the absence of a coffee maker in the room.
- Valentine (10/5): Comfortable, clean, and quiet. - This was a great location for us and met our needs.
- Phillip (10/5): - Really fun little find. We’d definitely stay again.
- Deb (10/5): - The setting was lovely. The flower beds really added to the ambience. It was a quiet neighborhood to walk in.
- Brown (10/5): -
- Jason (10/5): - Great spot, clean, very responsive staff.
- Trish (10/5): Must stay! - We stayed here on our way to Estes. It was a last minute stop before continuing on the next day. I fell in love with it! Trying to figure out how to go back soon! The courtyard, the room, everything! Love it!
- Wanda (10/5): - Very unique motel. We have stayed before and will again.
- Ed (9/5): -
- Alan (10/5): - Very quaint and clean motel with new features in the smallish rooms. I would book here again.
- shawnna (9/5): Sweet, charming and very easy - It’s a very sweet spot with a lot of charm. The bed was really comfy and it was just enough space for one person. I did a short walk out to dinner to their very adorable historic district. The walls were very thin and unfortunately, I had a neighbor make a phone call at 5:30 in the morning. Could use a hot water kettle or some sort of coffee maker.
- Shamburg (8/5): Pleasant surprise and great value! -
- Julia (10/5): - Love the no hassle check in. No frills, but great price and nicely updated room.
- Liz (10/5): Hidden Gem of Sterling CO. - I loved that it was off the beaten path. It felt like a blast from the past. It had retro looking furnishings with just the right amount of modern comfort. There wasn't anything I didn't like. It was perfect, in my opinion.
- Donald (10/5): - Very easy to check in. Very unique place. Very clean and comfortable. We loved the place.
- Tom (10/5): - Very Impressive set up. Makes me want to visit Sterling again.!
- Bruce D. (10/5): - This motel is a hidden treasure (so hidden, I almost drove by it! I arrived late at night after a long day of travel. There is no lobby and you get a code to open your small, but renovated and clean, unit. After I left, I realized that I had left an expensive pair of headphones in the room. I texted the ‘innkeeper’ who said they hadn’t found any. A week later he texted me that indeed they had been found (in the office drawer) and they went through the trouble of sending them back to me. They were so nice. I can’t recommend this place enough.
- Jeff (10/5): Unique Place - A nice, no-frills place that is reminiscent of the roadside motels of yesteryear. No contact check-in, check-out worked out fine. Nicely groomed area around the motel. Met all of our expectations.
- Bill (10/5): - Botique secret
- James (10/5): Time Travel - Parking was a bit confusing at first but was actually great. No contact check in was efficient. My room #7 was a "blast from the past" with some plumbing eccentricities. It has been a long time since I had a room with a bar! The shag rug and leather couch was like time travel to my youth. We even had some cowhide influence. I love a place with a 50s motel vibe. Especially when the place is SPOTLESS and has great towels. The TV and Wi-Fi worked great too. I would definitely stay here again.
- Belinda (4/5): - When I turned the lights out to go to sleep I had bugs crawling on me they were large Beetles that started to crawl up my arms. It was very difficult to sleep after that. It was also very humid in the room.
- Lori (10/5): - Very nice property close to everything in town.
- Jill (10/5): - The flowers in the courtyard were beautiful. Right in downtown area so easy walk to restaurants and shops.
- Sonia (10/5): -
- Glen (7/5): -
- Richard (9/5): Great experience. Happy to have found it. - Convenient location, very clean and quiet. Easy walk to downtown for dinner. Missed a coffee maker in the room and no lobby with coffee either.
- Ingrid (10/5): - Charming step back in time motel. Clean and comfortable. Accommodated late check in.
- Linda (10/5): - Quiet and quaint historic motel fully renovated. Clean and loved the key code check in.
- Virginia (10/5): - Great little motel. Clean property inside and out. Will definitely be back!!!
- Scott (10/5): - Wonderful stay. Quiet. Check in was easy.
- Ronald (10/5): I loved it especially after a lo0ng hot day of travel. - Excellent for the road warrior who needs a no-fuss check in and check out process. Awesome garden setting, very clean outside area with table and chairs available. Room was decorated in a retro/artistic mode. I loved the check in by text. Parking was adequate, room was clean and thoughtfully appointed.
- Laura (10/5): - We were very pleasantly surprised by the size of our room and the cleanliness. The room was quiet and we were sent the room number and door code, so we could straight to the room when we got there. I would definitely stay here again!
- Barbara (10/5): great place to stay for a night or two but quite small for 4 people - We didnt get the breakfast - didn't realize where to go The floors in the bathroom are hard to walk on but we dealt with it
- keri (4/5): - I was really hopeful I could find a local place instead of a chain. I was raised in this town and wanted to support the community. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the room. I was taken back when we went to shower and there was not any hot water. Joe was very responsive and told us there was an unusual demand for hot water that morning and to wait 30 minutes. I know the property was not at capacity since we had a room for 4 and only 2 of us (and had not used any water yet). We were set back on our timeframe for our event and found another place to stay the second night. I did not reach out to Joe by 1100 (the check out time) because we were at our event, and because of the time (I contacted him at 1:45pm), he would not refund the second night. My opinion is that I should have at least been given a late check out refund. My request was a full refund as we could not shower and get ready on time and that was denied. The lack of water was my only complaint, but if I cannot get ready and make it to my destination on time, that is a fault of the property when the basic need was hot water.
- Brenda (7/5): -
- Denise (10/5): - Beds are comfortable
- Fred (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (10/5): - Nice place in a quiet area Sterling is a nice town
- Gloria (10/5): - Charming setting.
- Stephanie (8/5): Sterling charmer - Very nice room. Appeared to be recently remodeled. My only complaint was the window AC unit, as I prefer quiet when sleeping. Bed was super comfortable.
- Ava (10/5): - I would definitely come back!
- Tammy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lesley (8/5): Very good -
