Gave us all the information we needed for our stay. The breakfast was lovely in a quaint dining room where we chatted with Susanna. I would highly recommend staying at Windarra on High. We wouldn't hesitate in staying again. It was lovely so there was nothing we didn't like.

Communication leading up to the stay was excellent and our 3 bedroom suite "The Retreat" was spacious and very comfortable. We loved the decor and period features of the building and the heating system was great. The continental breakfast (fruit salad, cereal, yoghurt, toast, juice + coffee) was very nice, but was the same each day - a little variety would have been lovely, as we stayed for a week.

We had a nice continental breakfast. The room was spacious and comfortable. The house itself has character and was a nice place to stay. The accommodation is advertised as having free parking. However, prior to arriving we had an email saying that there was restricted free parking on the road. 3hr limit between 09.00 and 17.00. Initially this was a concern to us but we were able to park each day without trouble. We chose the room with a garden view, however, there was no garden to view. There was no sink in the bathroom, so we had to clean our teeth and wash our hands after using the toilet in the kitchen sink.

Vielleicht etwas leckereres Brot zum FrĂŒhstĂŒck.

- Joachim (9/5): Ein traditionelles Haus mit Stil und Charme - Wie der Name "Windarra on High" vermuten lĂ€sst, liegt das Haus auf einem HĂŒgel oberhalb von Launceston. Die Umgebung ist grĂŒn und ruhig, ParkplĂ€tze sind vorhanden. Die Zimmer sind individuell und charmant eingerichtet. Durch den Zuschnitt der RĂ€ume sind manchmal Kompromisse nötig; so hatten wir unser Waschbecken im Zimmer, dafĂŒr aber eine separate schöne Dusche. FrĂŒhstĂŒck gibt's als Buffet in einem stylischen Dining-Room. Keine Beanstandungen.

Plenty of choices of cereals, yogurt, toast, juice, coffee/tea. Our room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. I would have liked a bedside table to put my cup of tea on in the morning before getting up. Hubby's side of the bed had a table for him to use.

- Sven (7/5): - Das Zimmer vom Haupzimmer war schön groĂ und schön eingerichtet, das Bett riesig und bequem, der Balkon ist toll, auch wenn wir ihn nicht genutzt haben. Die Lage ist gut. Nachts war es ruhig. ParkplĂ€tze sind auch ausreichend vorhanden. Das zweite Schlafzimmer ist lieblos eingerichtet, der Teppich insgesamt dreckig/fleckig, das Bad ist in der Dusch-Toilettenecke sehr beengt. Das FrĂŒhstĂŒck ist ĂŒberschaubar und wenn man 15 Minuten vor Schluss kommt, muss man schon zusehen, dass man noch eine Tasse bekommt und hoffen, dass nochmal etwas nachgelegt wird. Man hatte das GefĂŒhl, dass man dann auch pĂŒnktlich den Raum zu verlassen hat.

- Tony (6/5): It was ok but disappointed - view from outside was disappointed overall not as we had been expecting - Followed instructions for arrival and found room already occupied phoned and told we were wrong as in another room as instructions BUT that was not what message instructions said - Felt room cramped and tired - Booking site says great continental breakfast - It was ok but only cereal - Yogurt - bowl fruit salad and toast maybe a different interpretation again not as experienced in previous similar properties
- Nigel (9/5): Gracious - Old fashioned charm. Host was very helpful. Just needed the bin emptying. This was completed on request. Couldn't work the TV. Probably my fault. I could have requested assistance.

- Jane (10/5): Comfortable old and charming house. - We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely grand old house in a great location just out of the CBD. Our room was very spacious and comfortable . A nice continental breakfast was included and eaten in the dining room. I recommend this property.

- Laurie (10/5): Great stay at Windarra on High - The host Susanna was very welcoming, made us feel at home and loved sharing their beautiful historical home with guests. She had lots of great tips and ideas for places to visit which was very helpful. The room had lovely linen and big white fluffy towels, it was well equipped and spacious. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was great. Nothing -It was all good.
- Jacqueline (8/5): Attractive property but mosquitoes. Would stay again if the room had fly wire. - Elegant building, situated in a lovely part of Launceston. The room was clean and comfortable. Launceston, like much of Tasmania, has mosquito-borne disease risks, eg Ross River Virus, yet the windows in our bedroom had no fly wire. We were woken during the night by mosquitos buzzing around us so immediately closed the windows though too late, we'd been bitten, and then with the windows closed the room felt stuffy and a bit too warm. How easy it would have been to prevent this situation and protect guests if there was fly wire!

So generous in showing us the rooms, chatting, and making sure we had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, pillow options, my balcony room was a special treat, too. Canât think of anything!

It was easy to access with a keypad front door. Rooms were spacious and comfortable Stairs are narrow and challenging bringing up heavy suitcases. Stair banister felt loose. Breakfast was ok but was often crowded
