Monique (10/5): Heerlijk verblijf op een unieke plek - Mooie kamer met zeer ruime badkamer en buiten zitje. Prachtig uitzicht direct aan de oceaan. De service was zeer goed. Ontbijt was prima en extra eitjes etc te bestellen. 2 x ‘s avonds daar gegeten en kwalitatief zeer goed. We hadden het liefst langer willen blijven, zo goed is het bevallen. Heerlijk rustoord Enige wat ik minder vond waren de bedden, te hard naar mijn zin en een topper zou helpen. Ook de koffiekopjes zijn onhandig (ook voor de bediening) en we waren blij met een mok bij het tweede ontbijt

Claire (5/5): Disappointing - The location, beach, scenery, view outstanding. Looking tired. Lack of attention to detail and quality. There seemed to be a party atmosphere amongst the staff, loud music, dancing in what should be a tranquil and relaxing environment. Staff would sit around the guest area, on occasions were asleep. Staff were not forthcoming with taking breakfast orders, we had to find them to order and then the order wasn’t right when it came. Sadly the standard has dropped.

Prachtig uitzicht, lekker eten ( ook in de avond) en uitgebreid ontbijt. En het lekerste bed ever van onze hele trip. Nynke is een geweldige gastvrouw, en had alle aandacht voor ons. Harald (10/5): Fantastisch! - Wir durften eine ganze Woche in dieser unglaublichen Location verbringen und es war wirklich ein Traum. Wir danken dem ganzen Team das uns fürsorglich und stets mit einem Lächeln bedient und vorzüglich bekocht hat und alles sauber gehalten hat. Besonders zu erwähnen ist der äußerst professionelle Service. Besser geht es eigentlich nicht und ihr hättet alle mindestens 12 von 10 Punkten verdient. Frühstück und Abendessen waren fantastisch, große und teils außergewöhnliche Auswahl (Kaiserschmarrn), wir haben (fast) alles probiert und waren mehr als zufrieden. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier her kommen. Romans Villa befindet sich in einer Savety area etwas abgelegen und außerhalb von Gansbaai. Zum Strand kommt man über einen relativ steilen Fußweg in ca. 10 min.

Marlene (10/5): Ein wundervoller Ort zum Verweilen! - Ein traumhafter Ort, mit unglaublich nettem Personal, die alles ermöglichen. Das Abendessen und Frühstück waren grandios. Das Zimmer war groß, schön eingerichtet und gut durchdacht. Ein rund um perfekter Aufenthalt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! Man könnte maximal beanstanden, dass es auf der Ecke sehr ruhig ist, wenn man abends gerne ausgehen wollen würde. Aber das hat uns so gar nicht gestört.

Eine funktionierende Kart Transfer zum Strand wäre für ältere und kleinere Gäste sehr hilfreich da der Weg so steil ist.

Hajra (10/5): For the rand value, nothing beats the professionalism, beauty and class of this establishment. - As soon as I paid, a whatsapp was sent with a map. Located in an eco estate with fynbos and sea 180 degree sea views. There is zebra, small mammals and birds. As you enter the property, you are greeted by the hostess with sparkling wine or non alcoholic beverage. They fetch your bags, you fill in forms and go to your room. My room was the Deluxe which had a sea view, bathroom was large and spacious. As a solo female, it is very safe to travel into the estate and walk to the beach. It has amenities for women such as Micellar cleansing water, face wipes and buds. There is a tea/coffee station and two bottles of water and coke are provided. Robes with slippers come standard. A heater and fan are provided too. Fynbos natural products are found in all amenities. Upstairs has a fireplace, small dining area, sun loungers with beach towels and woolen wraps. The views are stunning and sunset was breathtaking. But, it's the staff Kayla and Ferrin who made my stay divine. They tended to my every query, they made me comfortable and Kayka took me for a golf cart ride through the estate to look for the zebra. Breakfast was delicious. It felt like having my own private chef. The prices are very reasonable for this top end establishment. Kayla bid me farewell and I felt sad leaving such a beautiful place and great host. I will be back. Room can get cold at night in winter, but a heater is provided.

Heerlijk ontbijt en ook 's avonds twee keer heel goed gegeten. Wij hadden de verwachting dat je vanuit je kamer ook dat spectaculaire uitzicht zou hebben maar dat was niet zo. Kamers liggen iets meer naar beneden en naar achteren waardoor je in de verte de zee wel ziet, maar niet dat mooie uitzicht hebt dat je van boven op het terras hebt.

The views were stunning, and the beach is just a short walk away, which we really loved. The daily breakfast was great, especially the fresh bread. Friendly staff. The Jacuzzi wasn’t working during our stay, but overall it was a wonderful experience and we’d happily return.

Anna (10/5): Paradiesische Unterkunft, top Team, besser geht’s nicht! - Angefangen vom liebenswerten, engagierten, gut gelaunten, an Freundlichkeit nicht zu übertreffenden jungen, umsichtigen, fleißigen Team rund um Managerin Roxann über die genialen, kreativen Koch- und Backkünste des Küchenteams, den jungen Mann, der sich immerzu um Garten und auch um die Autos der Gäste aufmerksam und liebevoll kümmert (er wäscht sie komplett ab!) bis hin zu den fleißigen, flotten und unsichtbaren Reinigungskräften: Was für ein rundum tolles, aufmerksames Team! Die Besitzer können sich überglücklich schätzen. Und dann on top noch das wunderschöne, gepflegte Anwesen mit 180-Grad Meerblick, die herrlich designten Zimmer - ebenfalls mit Meerblick und Meeresrauschen - , der Strand, die neu angelegten Liegemöglichkeiten rund um den Pool mit Loungeareal, der eigene Parkplatz am Haus, all dies eingebettet in das geschützte Areal mitten auf Finboshügeln, wo auch Zebras einfach so herumlaufen. In der Nähe gibt es viele schöne Wandermöglichkeiten, Hermanus ist gut erreichbar. Bootstouren können von Gansbaai aus einfach gebucht werden. Nichts, rein gar nichts.

Daniel (9/5): Tolle Unterkunft in Traumlage zum Entspannen - Die Unterkunft Romans Villa ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen! Für 1-3 Nächte ist man hier genau richtig, um die traumhafte Landschaft, Unterkunft und Erholung zu genießen. Der Service ist prima, das Abendessen lecker und der kleine Strand unterhalb des Hauses ein Traum. Es war wirklich toll, nur im „letzten Detail“ für uns nicht perfekt.
Tizia (6/5): Das Geld leider nicht wert… - Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr bemüht und freundlich! Das Konzept, ein Wohnhaus in eine Ferienunterkunft umzuwandeln, ist grundsätzlich spannend, wurde jedoch nicht gut umgesetzt. Haben wir den Aufenthalt bereut? Nein. Würden wir wiederkommen? Nein. War der Preis gerechtfertigt? Keinesfalls! Der größte Kritikpunkt ist der insgesamt Zustand der Unterkunft der den Eindruck vermittelt, dass seit Jahren weder investiert, noch dass über ein Konzept was Erholung bietet nachgedacht wird und das Objekt primär als Einnahmequelle dient. Bei voller Belegung mit mindestens 10 Gästen stehen lediglich 4 Sonnenliegen am Pool zur Verfügung. Diese sind eng nebeneinander platziert, der Poolbereich ist ganztägig belebt und die erhoffte Ruhe an diesem abgelegenen Ort bleibt aus. Pool liegt direkt im Restaurant-, Bar- und Eingangsbereich wo eine Belebtheit nachvollziehbar ist, trägt jedoch nicht zur Erholung bei. Die Terrasse unseres Zimmers war mit einem verrosteten Tisch und zwei stark abgenutzten Stühlen mit abblätternder Farbe ausgestattet. Warum keine Liegen im ganzen Gartenbereich und für alle Einheiten? Für den Strand wurden keine Sonnenschirme angeboten, schwierig hier dann einen ganzen Tag zu verbringen. Der Poolreinigungsroboter befand sich ganztägig im Becken, was weder zum Schwimmen einlädt noch als sicher empfunden wurde. Weder WLAN noch Empfang funktionierten in unserem Kellerzimmer, das Problem wurde zwar aufgenommen, sich erst sehr bemüht und am nächsten Tag war’s schon vergessen, was uns bis Abreise ohne Verbindung im Zimmer lies. Die Einrichtung wirkt insgesamt wenig einladend: viele schwarze Elemente erzeugen eine düstere Atmosphäre in einem eigentlich hellen und schön Haus. Der Teppich im Schlafzimmer war stark verschmutzt und fleckig - Schlappen immer an… Insgesamt entspricht die Unterkunft in keiner Weise dem Preisniveau von 600€ für 3 Nächte! Unterkunftsbilder sind veraltet!

Jabulile (8/5): One of the most beautiful locations in the Western Cape! - The location is unmatched and the views are incredible! The uniqueness of the location and the views make you feel as though you have left the country. The food was really good, albeit noting there were limited options to choose from. The pricing of the food was also quite reasonable. One of the lady’s who assisted us for the majority of our stay lacked warmth in her approach and communication style (I think her name was Roxann). From the initial WhatsApp communication to the in-person communication, she failed to display the kind of warmth you typically encounter from hotel personnel. The rest of the team was great! The high window at the back of our room did not have blinds, so we were woken up at 5/6am every morning due to the significant amount of sunlight that the room lets in. The TV was not working in our room, my husband enjoys watching golf and soccer during his vacations, but was unable to. Cleanliness could be improved. I used teaspoons to make coffee the one morning, and when I needed to use them again the next morning, they were unwashed, even though the room had been serviced. Staff needs to pay attention to replacing used items in the rooms - on our last morning, we didn’t have milk for our coffee as it had not been replaced during the servicing of the room. Had to go downstairs to ask.

Filip (10/5): Het is zo'n klein paradijsje op aarde die we het liefst voor ons alleen zouden willen bewaren. - Voor ons was het een evidentie dat we hier een tweede keer verbleven. Het ontbijt, het diner...beiden van een hoogstaande kwaliteit. Het verblijf is zo smaakvol ingericht en de omgeving is zo rustgevend en mooi. Wie zou daar niet van omver geblazen worden...?! Helemaal niks!

Der Ausblick auf das Meer ist fantastisch und man schaltet von der ersten Minute ab. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker, warme Varianten können a la carte bestellt werden. Das Abendessen war ebenfalls sehr lecker.
