- Jeremy (5/5): More a guest house than a hotel. - The staff was only around during office hours. I wanted to grab a beer one night at the bar but it shut each night before 6pm. The area isn't bad but it is a bit dead and in between the main downtown area and the An Ping historical district. This wasn't so much a hotel as a guesthouse where you get a room.

- Karina (7/5): Hatte mehr erwartet - für den Preis in Taiwan in Ordnung - Das Zimmer sah auf den ersten Blick gut und modern aus, bei genauer Betrachtung, hat man ihm das Alter jedoch angesehen. Betten waren bequem, Lage auch gut, um Erkundungen in Taiwan zu unternehmen. Mit dem Bus kommt man vom Stadtbahnhof auch einigermaßen gut Richtung Hotel, muss dann aber noch etwa 1km laufen. Reinigung auf Anfrage täglich möglich. Die Dame am Empfang war jederzeit erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Meine zurvor getätigte Zahlung wurde am Tag des Check-ins storniert und dann erneut mit 10 Dollar mehr des eigentlich gebuchten Preises belastet, obwohl wir kein Upgrade o.ä. hatten. Hab ich leider erst nach Abreise bemerkt. Auf die Frage, warum das so sei, habe ich vom Hotel nie eine Antwort erhalten. Mag nicht viel sein, ist mir auf meinen Reisen aber noch nie passiert und eben einfach nicht der Preis, zudem ich das Hotel gebucht hatte. Ziemlich unverschämt. Wir hatten uns auch auf die Bier-Bar gefreut, aber die Preise waren wahnsinnig hoch. Dann lieber bei 7/11 kaufen und in den nahegelegenen Park setzen. Irgendwie könnte man grundsätzlich mehr mit dem Bierkonzept machen. Früher Check-in war nicht möglich, aber wir konnten unser Gepäck dort lassen - allerdings mussten wir ein Dokument (Führerschein, Pass, o.ä.) als Deposit hinterlassen. War mir als Gast, der ja schon bezahlt hatte und dessen Daten bekannt sind, unangenehm.

- Ryota (2/5): CONTINUOUS WATER DROPS from the Ceiling Once in Every 4 Seconds, at Wash Basin. Poor Comm Skills. - - Bed was comfortable, sofa was also comfortable. - Security is kept good since only the guests can enter the room area. - Amenities at shower and wash basin are the organic brand in Taiwan "A Yuan". - There are some breakfast place within 10 mins walk. - Police station is just next door - People at Tainan are so friendly and kind than average in Taiwan -- Reminder; People at Taiwan are so friendly than worldwide average!! -- as far as I've been a frequent visitor to Taiwan for years. -- But I've found an exception here -- Front staff here are not. They lack integrity, express zero apology for trouble or mistake. Be careful if you do not speak local language, front staff here does not possess appropriate communication sense in English writing and speaking, especially when you face any problems in the room. - WATER DROPS came down continuously from the ceiling at the wash basin in every 4 seconds. How come hotel maintenance can fail to notice during the routine cleaning? Of course I requested the front staff to change to other room but they rejected, so I insisted them to repair. Temporary countermeasure by the front staff appeared to made it 'okay' then but it turned 'not okay' -- water drops happened again later. * Look at the attached photo; it was so stressful and noisy, so I placed layers of tissue paper and toilet rolls, but the water drops quickly made a hole, since water drops come down sharply and strongly towards the floor. - For using luggage storage, this hotel requests guests giving them my government ID. Hey, what?! Of course I rejected it, then hotel requested a deposit of TWD 1,000.00 -- I believe it is not an appropriate value. * Needless to say, foreigners not carrying their own government ID can be punished in almost all countries! Of course, also in Japan. But this hotel does not aware of such a global standard. * In Taiwan, Article 28 of the Immigration Act and Article 16 of the Enforcement Rules request any foreigner aged 14 or older who has entered Taiwan for visit, residence, or permanent residence must always carry on their own passport, Foreigner Resident Certificate, or Foreigner Permanent Resident Certificate. --> Besides, under Article 85 of the Immigration Act, failure to comply with such obligations can result in an administrative fine ranging from TWD 2,000.00 to TWD 10,000.00 - You should be better to note that the option "this hotel will deal with the credit card payment" means the credit card payment not by TWD currency but in your card currency, converted by terrible exchange rate without getting the confirmation by card holder even though card holder exercises selection rights for which currency to select. - Elevator smelled terrible.

- Blazej (3/5): - Location Unfortunately can’t recommend this place. There were two beds in my room and only one was clean. The other one has not been cleaned after previous guest. They definitely need to work on cleaning the rooms better. Room in general was not cleaned very well.
